Last time we ate there for lunch during off season because the decor is great and the staff is always friendly (and weren't disappointed at all and knew we'd have to come back)! But this time at dinner we were very disappointed and not sure we'll come back now. I had 10 wings with 2 different flavors: the honey garlic were terrible, the honey tasted like hot corn syrup and I didn't even taste the garlic at all. The whiskey River sauce was good but thin and the wings were really tiny. They were cooked perfectly, crispy outside and soft inside. My husband had the one eye jack burger and altho the flavor was good, it was really greasy. The fries were delicious with a little seasoning on top that was quite tasty.

Food was good but there was a hair in my chips, good service overall they handled it well,

Loaded fries; they were also yummy

The food was great, especially the fried pickles and the loaded fries. The boneless wings were unlike any I've ever seen before. They were huge. I didn't care too much for the dry cajun rub that I i picked. The meat was still tender and juicy. We had a party of 5 and we were seated immediately. The waitress was efficient and very thorough continuing to fill our drinks. The ambiance was also nice. Several TV's were in playing different things. It wasn't loud in there like most sports bars I've been to.

Friendly local watering hole that appeals to both sports and fishing driven adventurers. Service was good as was price and timely delivery. Food was OK: not spectacular but commensurate with the price tag and locale. Fried shrimp, though, was extraordinarily well done. Yeah! Looking for cold beer, good service, reasonable prices and decent seafood? Has my trawler nets nearly full on my "Give 'em a whirl" meter. Drop your line in here.

Wings and fish is always a good date night spot but they may have been having an off night tonight. Baked potato was undercooked for mine and my husband, his steak was raw. We told the waitress she was very nice and understanding about it, the manager only took off $5 off a $90 ticket and even the waitress said she should have taken more off but it is what it is.

Great Bar! Enjoying wings and watching the Masters! Go Tiger!

The beer and cider selection is outstanding and it's so fun to try as many as you like. You pour!!! It's like a self-serve frozen yogurt place for brewed beverages. You get an aluminum mug you keep and a wrist band that tracks your pouring for the bill. As you pour, you see how much that drink costs and how much you have spent so far. Different selections have different prices. The band will allow up to 48 oz to be dispensed before you have to check in with the bartender to reactivate the band. My sister and I shared a band. You tap the band and then can pour as little or as much as you want in your mug. I tried eight different selections, just pouring an ounce or two for each. Flavor adventure! There's also wine on tap up on the top floor. The upstairs seating by the wine bar is better for conversation (less noise than downstairs). They also have beer bottles and cans in a cooler alongside some juice and pop (soda/coke) options. They also have the largest bar in Shalotte with many spirits. On top of all of this, there's darts, old school Pac Man and other vintage games, pinball, skee ball, basketball, and a claw machine. They cost money, but you can pay with your smart watch or phone's credit card function or with bills. Ping pong is free and has good space around it for a lively game. If you're hungry, you can order from Smoked or Wing and Fish Company which are both next door and will deliver your food to The Pour House. We had a great time. This place is worth checking out.

The venue is absolutely beautiful, with stunning spaces that photographed amazingly and created such a romantic, joyful atmosphere that lasted from the moment guests arrived until we danced late into the night. The entire staff was incredible--professional, warm, and attentive, making sure everything flowed seamlessly while treating us and our guests like family. A huge thank you to Annaleise, our coordinator, who was simply outstanding! From our first planning meetings through to the final moments of the evening, she was calm, organized, and always one step ahead, handling every detail so we could fully relax and soak in every second. She brought our vision to life perfectly, and because of her, the day was completely stress-free and flawless. Our guests are still talking about how gorgeous the venue was and how smoothly everything ran. In our reservation, it asks if we are celebrating a special event, which I clearly indicated we were: it was my husband's 50th birthday, which is why we were splurging on a nice meal on our last night here at the beach. We arrived on time and waited just a few minutes for our table to be ready. Server was very bubbly and nice, said she was also training someone new. She promptly took our drink orders. We had three cocktails, one mocktail, and three lemonades and waters. We placed our appetizer order of calamari and burrata mozzarella and asked for some bread to tie the kids over, the latter of which came out promptly, but our table was not provisioned with napkin/silverware bundles so we had no means to spread the butter. We asked someone for silverware. Then the appetizers arrived, but again we had no silverware. We waited about 5 mins as it got cold to flag our server down for utensils. The calamari, albeit no longer warm, was tasty. The burrata was as well, but they only give two small slices of crostini. We used our table bread to continue enjoying the mozzarella, balsamic glaze, etc., but the appetizer should have the diameter of the plate arrayed with slices of crostini. One cannot put a half slab of mozzarella onto a tiny sliver of bread. We ordered short rib, grouper, a burger, teo kids chicken tender meal, two filet mignons with bearnaise, and a side of Brussels because they were no longer carrying the broccolini on the menu. No complaints from guests on most of the entrees, but the filets were really charbroiled on the outside. Cooked to our desired temperature on the inside, but tasted like a charcoal briquette on the outside. Even slathering it with bearnaise didn't mask or cut the charcoal. The Brussels were just roasted, no flavor and nothing to write home about. And these entrees were quite pricey, so we were expecting steakhouse level perfection. The biggest disappointment was that, despite our advance notice that we were all there to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday, there was no mention of it from the staff. No birthday slice of cake brought out, no HBD acknowledgment of any kind. The drinks were good, service was good with a few hiccups, server was very nice and friendly, and much of the food was tasty. If we return, I'll probably come back for lunch instead. It just wasn't worth the $ we dropped on the dinner check, and it was not the special celebratory birthday dinner we hoped it would be.

We've come here every single year for his birthday, and it has become a very special tradition for our family. The setting never disappoints -- the restaurant sits right on the marsh and the views are absolutely beautiful. With the sunny weather and peaceful scenery, it made for the perfect backdrop to celebrate. We started with several appetizers including the Scooby Snacks, Boom Boom Shrimp, hummus, and the Board Meeting. Every single one was exceptional and truly exceeded our expectations. For entrées, our table enjoyed the filet mignon, fresh sea bass, a cheeseburger, and the fried flounder -- all cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. There was also live music by Johnny White, which added such a nice touch to the atmosphere and fit perfectly with the beautiful setting. But the real star of the evening was our waiter, Luciano. He was one of the most incredible servers we've ever had here. At one point my son accidentally spilled cocktail sauce on his shirt, Luciano didn't skip a beat He immediately stepped in to help clean things up, brought hot towels, and even brought club soda to help remove the stain from my son's shirt. He handled everything with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. He also helped us celebrate in singing Happy Birthday to my son and even included a candle in his birthday pie. Luciano was attentive, compassionate, and truly the ideal waiter. He left us with a lasting impression and made an already special birthday celebration absolutely perfect. We look forward to continuing our yearly tradition at The Oyster Rock and hope to see Luciano again next year!

I went with the baked potato soup, prime rib sandwich, and key lime pie. All 3 items were such a treat to have. The service was great. There was a waiter I had named Keith (I may have his name wrong if so, my apologies) who was very nice and accommodating, and I really hope he is commended for his good service). Secondly, the food there was was really good as well, and even the cocktails/frozen drinks were very unique and creative, which I liked. I also like how they have nonalcoholic beverages as well, as seen in the photos and I hope more restaurants, such as this one can expand on it more. One of the few downsides I had with the Restaurant for me personally, was the fact that there was no Wi-Fi at all nor was there any form of digital payments such as Apple Pay/Google pay etc, and I'm not sure if the no Wi-Fi thing is an intentional choice, but I think having both of those things in a restaurant should already be common practice in 2026. Almost every restaurant you go to has a digital payment option as everyone is using those. So if you're trying to call someone or use your phone for other things, it becomes way harder with the lack of signal. Overall, the presentation of Restaurant is very nice and I definitely would go again to explore more of their options. if you're a restaurant trying to go for a more old-school approach or style to things, you can at least do so while adapting with the times.
