Toasted is a great restaurant. We have eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. All have been deliciou! I enjoyed the egg white omelet and my husband liked the berries and waffles for breakfast. For dinner we lovethe Drunken Clucker which is a nice chicken breast topped with an apple & peach bourbon sauce and mashed potatoes. It's less crowded at dinner time so it's a great place to go. I had breakfast at Toasted a few times and was always impressed with the quality of their food along with the creativity of their dishes. I had seen a tv spot about their new offerings of dinner, I knew I had to try them. We played golf up near Calabash, we had the opportunity to stop at Toast. Their menu offered a wide variety of their creative options. I chose the Shrimp Cherie, my wife chose the Slammin Salmon which was prepared with a couple of ingredients she couldn't have. They made suggestions on how they could alter the dish to satisfy her dietary needs. We both thought our meals were over the top. The service was fantastic our server was attentive but not a pain. The owner was very friendly stopping by a couple of times. The patrons were mainly local, the owner knew them well. His warmth radiated through the restaurant as the evening went on. My only regret was it took me so long to try Toast. It may be a bit of a drive for us but it's well worth the trip, we will be back very soon. read more

I have only tried toasted for brunch on the weekend, but a group of ladies went on Thursday night. I ordered the prime rib sandwich with potato wedges. It was very good with leftovers to take home. Some of the ladies with the got the shrimp Cherie and absolutely loved it! As it was two of our birthdays, we all got dessert. While the dessert is not cooked there it was very good. I ordered the Corned Beef biscuit bottom and she had the Avocado Bravado! I liked mine very much and thought the biscuit was great! Real homemade corned beef hash, scrambled eggs and honey mustard! Crazy good hearty breakfast in Calabash on Father's Day. No wait and VIP parking by the door at 9:30am. Very pleasant surprise. The menu is unique and the food is flavorful. My youngest who usually keeps it simple, expanded her taste buds with the Apple butter biscuit bottom. My son, got the sampler. My wife and oldest daughter got the fires chicken biscuit bottom and I ordered the country fried fillet mignon with eggs OE and home fries. I enjoyed my meal and joined the clean plate club and helped my daughter with her fried chicken BB. Everyone did well and ate most of the food. Service was great even with a large crowd. They have mimosas and spiked coffee but we did not partake since we were hitting the road toward home afterwards. It was good, just not as great as the last time we ate there. They didn't have the ingredients to make the one drink I wanted, but my friend said her Dirty Mary was incredible. The Eddie Muenster burger had well seasoned and seared beef; it wasn't the flavor bomb I was expecting from the description. Didn't taste anything resembling bourbon or apple butter, but it was good. Went for lunch at about 1pm, and it was not busy so we got a quiet table by the wall. Massive Mimosa and Cocktail menu! We had delicious prime rib egg rolls which were hot and yummy. The fruit and chicken salad was fresh and tangy. The burger was ordered medium (but was dripping red juice and should have been cooked longer) , but was so delicious hubby ate it that way and did not mention it to the server. Next time we say medium well, but shouldn't have to. We will return to try some dinner entrees that were not available any longer, but their website menu should be updated to reflect that. read more

We had a great experience at Toasted in Calabash, NC. The food was excellent, and the service was just as good. We were served by the owner, Nick, who made the visit even better with great hospitality. I had the Apple Butter Biscuit Bottom, and everything was cooked perfectly. The biscuit was crisp on the outside but still soft on the inside, the bacon was cooked just right, and the eggs were perfectly fried hard. The apple butter was amazing and really brought the whole dish together. My wife had the Awakened Bacon Filet Sandwich, and it was also cooked perfectly. The steak was a perfect medium well with just the right amount of pink, and the flavors worked really well together. I also tried the Blackberry Bramble Mimosa, and it was mixed perfectly. It had great flavor and was still nice and strong. Overall, Toasted was a great spot with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back! read more

Fantastic breakfast/brunch place. The owner Nick is a hoot!! The place was packed on a late Sunday morning but we were seated at the bar fairly quickly. I'm so glad we sat there. We really got to see Nick in his element since he was waiting on all the tables in that area. Food is delicious. By far the best we had in our 3 days in NC and SC. Wanted to try lunch as breakfast here is delish! We tried a Greek salad with grilled chicken. The salad was fresh and plentiful. Lots of olives and cheese and more than enough chicken. The dressing was nice too not too tangy. We also tried the thank Jesus for cheese grilled cheese. I have never had a grilled cheese this dang good. We sat with our menus closed ready to order over ten minutes however, no one ever came over to greet us, take our drink order or even just say sorry be right with you. We have been wanting to try toasted for quite a while so I called to see about getting a reservation for my wife's birthday brunch on a Saturday for a party of 8 of us. The staff had no problem making that happen, when we got there everything was set up for us, staff were all super friendly, attentive and on it. The ambiance is cozy and comfortable and very welcoming. The menu is incredible with so many unique items it was truly hard to decide on one. The drink menu was beyond amazing and bourbon menu alone was spectacular. I ordered their biscuit bottom country fried filet mignon and oh my god was it amazing! Everyone raved about the food and service. We will be regulars from here on out. Thank you for a great time, my wife absolutely loved her birthday brunch with her friends.
