We've been to Cooper's Tavern twice in the past 2 weeks! Love the ambiance! Friendly staff! Sat at the bar both times and bartenders are AWESOME! Helped find a beer that we both enjoyed by getting a few tastings! We've ordered a few appetizers off the happy hour menu, starting with the Baja shrimp tacos and the fried oysters! We've also had the Buffalo nachos with chicken and the Sea Dogs shrimp! All were excellent! Great spot! read more

Food is good, service is good. It's a tavern with plenty of seating including a large bar. The only disappointment is their wine selection has changed to the lowest end wine. What I call "headache" wines. I'm not sure why they no longer carry a premium wine. read more

They have very good burgers, tacos, and chicken wings. We usually eat a good burgers but today , my husband went for the grilled pork chop special , but it was rather tough. My husband had added a Brussels sprouts side and but they were so tough, he couldn't even put his fork into them. They did substitute some potato salad for that, however. Recommend it , however , because this was the first meal that we had , that wasn't great. I must warn people , though that you can Barely hear you're eating partners because it is very loud in there, and they have the music turned up pretty high. I've been stopping at Cooper's when I'm in their neighborhood ever since they've opened. From their beginning they've consistently served a variety of good meals for a good price, I've never been disappointed. We stopped in last night for the first time this year and I must say WOW. Their menu is more creative and when they're served they are outstanding. My girlfriend had salmon over Brussels sprouts which she loved and I had a grilled chicken breast with a delicious drizzle over rice with pesto. There was sliced thinly sliced avocado over the chicken. Both dishes were exceptionally presented and were delicious. Walked in with a party at eight on a Tuesday night. Was seated immediately, and our waitress was very good. Ordered the basics during happy hour... Chicken tenders, wings, fried pickles, etc. All basic bar food - pretty average. Wings were good and nice sized. My only negative would be the drinks. I ordered a dirty martini extra dirty... It came out straight vodka. When I asked for a side of olive juice, she brought me lime juice. I waited about 10 minutes to actually get my drink to where it was drinkable. What a delightful experience we had at Cooper's. The place was very busy but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Our server was Nikki Nicole. She was extremely helpful and friendly. Taylor is an amazing waitress!!!! The food is typical bar food -wings/burgers/salads...but they also have seafood. The bar is front & center when you walk in. The right side has tables and the women's bathroom. The left side has high top bar tables and 2 pool tables (and the men's bathroom). The buffalo shrimp app is good and the shrimp are a plentiful size. The wedge salad looks very different and was liked by our friend as well. The Gouda burger was enjoyed but the fries aren't freshly cooked. My garlic parm wing were good, just different from what I'm used to. I do like that they were not sitting in a garlic butter mess! The brussell sprouts flavor was great but the temp of them could have been fresher as well. After 5pm the place fills up quickly with "older" customers and gets VERY loud. Our family of 4 tried cooper's while we were on vacation and it was awesome -- we heard about it through locals and there seemed to be a lot of local customers there. There's a bar area, outdoor patio and indoor dining available. There's a ton of beers on tap, mixed drinks and moonshine flights as well. I've heard great things about their burgers so I'll probably try one next time. There are happy hour specials every day from 5-7 -- my husband had the old bay wings and a bacon Caesar salad and our sons both had burgers -- the portions were huge and they loved their waffle fries. I had the chicken club, which consists of marinated grilled chicken, bacon, onions, mushrooms and jack cheese melted on top. Stopped in for a lunch with a friend. We had the mahi sandwiches, one grilled and one fried. Sandwiches were very good - the fried one was one of best fried fish sandwiches I've had in a long time. Paired it with the Cole slaw which was a bit soggy. Staff was really friendly - we switched spots once so we could watch a game without problem. Ambiance is a bit local bar ish. Very comfortable on a Saturday afternoon - watching sports and eating good food. Kids will be fine here. Note for the gluten free crowd - the wings are not breaded - and they looked good. 7.9.25 we made reservations for 18 people. When we arrived and not all at once, they waited for everybody to show before they even got us water, first. Second they had one waiter on our table the entire time no bussing in-between. When we had another person show they said they didn't have any other tables and there were 3 around us withing reach, , and proceeded to tell us they never take reservations and put a another chair behind us and said that's all they can do. If you can not handle big groups you should not take the reservations,period. As a local of 21 years, I will not be returning to say the least . We ordered the Mac & cheese cake, soft pretzel and the Tex Mex burger. The two appetizers were off the chain. They were a great reason to return themselves! The burger was delicious and prepared perfectly. The Tex mex version was tasty but sloppy. There IS a lot of stuff topped on it. A more basic burger would shine. The meat and cheese is so good.
