Small seafood combo with Flounder, scallops, shrimp and oysters. Quick service, delicious food and reasonable priced for the area.

absolutely a must for anyone going to N Myrtle Beach. Go early as the line forms quickly. Fresh, delicious food and super friendly and fast service.

We came here around 9 AM on a Sunday morning. Luckily there was no weight. The kids enjoyed the kids menu for coloring service was prompt and attentive. My veggie omelette and hashbrowns were pretty good. I absolutely love the biscuits. My son was disappointed with the grits, but I think he's just used to eating creamy grits back home. They absolutely love the pancakes and thought they were fluffy and delicious. We will definitely come back again.

This was the second time that we have visited this place and we love it! It's the type of place you go if you want to eat like a local. Although it's not going to be empty-you're going to have to wait! Both times we have been in the line along the road, but it's mostly covered and it's not bad, as it keeps moving quickly. This most recent time we had my parents with us and my dad cannot stand in line for long periods of time and no one said a word about him staying in the vehicle and then hopping in line with us when we made it to the front. There was also a large bench out front at the door that he could sit on while we waited the last few minutes to get in. The workers are always so friendly and the food comes out hot, fresh, and most of all GOOD! This time I had the BBQ sandwich and it was huge and so yummy! I paired it with a sweet potato and it had white slaw, which was fine. I work in Lexington, NC (the "BBQ Capital of the World, haha) so I was expecting red slaw. Didn't change my opinion, though. It was GREAT! My husband had the shrimp cocktail appetizer and commented how great it was, too. My dad had BBQ like me and my mom had a cheeseburger and said it was better than any of the other places we had eaten that week! It's a cozy and down-home feel when you are here. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Went at lunch on Halloween-there was the usual line at the door but it moved quickly. The service was outstanding-she was personable, attentive, and funny-and it was her birthday! My mom and I both got the fried chicken, salad, and turnip greens. She got the fries which were hot and crisp and lightly battered. I got the baked potato which was hot and steaming. We both loved the fried chicken which was made to order-juicy inside and crisp and flavorful on the outside. We both loved the turnip greens (and I'm not a vegetable fan!). They had pieces of diced turnip and were tender and flavorful and not at all bitter. The only knock is that the lettuce had seen better days-we both had brown lettuce. The dressings were delicious, though. We thought we were supposed to get rolls but no big deal. The place is clean and full of locals! We both took home half of our meal and will be back soon!

We went on a Wednesday night and got there at 4:15 and there was already a long line waiting to get in! (They open at 4:30). That's always a good sign. I had the special Blackened Shrimp & Grouper over Creamy corn with jalapeños, asparagus & a baked potato. Hubby had the fried oysters & crab cakes with baked potato. All the food was fresh, hot, high quality and delicious! We highly recommend Hoskins!

I had fried jumbo shrimp which were not listed on the menu as a platter, but our waitress (Grace) was glad make the exception. My husband ordered the fresh catch salmon with mango salsa. Sides were: green beans with roasted tomatoes, sautéed spinach and risotto cakes. Everything was very good and Grace kept our tea glasses full. When I'm in the area I'll definitely stop in some of their delicious food!

We came to this restaurant for dinner after our fishing trip. This place was recommended by the man…read morewho took us on our fishing tour. It seemed very "busy" for an early Monday evening around 5:20/6pm. It had quite a few customers but also many empty tables inside. We wanted to sit inside but were told they were holding tables for reservations. So our only option was to sit outside or to wait over 20 minutes. We were very hungry so we sat outside. Our waitress came out and greeted us and was very nice and answered all our questions. We had a table on the far right of the patio. Outside was hot and there were little small gnats flying around. We ordered the mussels in a wine sauce for appetizers. And OMG when the food came out the gnats swarmed in on us and it was worse! We could not enjoy the food because we were in a constant battle. We complained to the waitress. And we wound up moving to another table closer to the door (still outside in the opposite side because we still were told there were no tables inside). It was a better but gnats were still there. The food, however, was really good and would have been even better without fighting bugs. The mussels were cooked perfectly and the sauce it was in was delicious! We were almost licking the plate, but so I wouldn't look like a heathen, used the bread to wipe up the plate instead. The roasted red pepper crab bisque was also very good and I like that it had bigger lumps of crab in it. For my main course I had the fresh catch of the day that came with a lemon sauce, mango salsa and risotto. I am not a fan of asparagus so I was allowed to substitute for spinach. The dish was so delicious! I was happy with the taste and quality of the food. A manager just so happened to round on us while we were eating and we told her our complaints about the gnats. She was very understanding and offered us a free dessert or to take some money off the bill. When the waitress came back she asked us what dessert we wanted complimentary. We wondered why the manager gave us both options, but we didn't actually get to choose what we really wanted which was the money off the bill. We were really full and didn't have room for the dessert. Rather than protesting, we just chose a dessert to go, but unfortunately forgot to eat it because we had to pack for our early morning flight. My review would have been 5 stars for the service and food if it wasn't for those pesky bugs outside. I don't know why there was so many out there.

House made chips were crunchy and delicious. My crab cake was wonderful - as close to a Maryland crab cake as I've had in a long time. Lump crab, very little bread crumbs, pan fried and served with a dollop of hollandaise. It needed some Old Bay seasoning. The Rockefeller Oysters were delicious. Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. It has almost always been a good experience. However, I was disappointed this time because we have ALWAYS been told (in or off season) that they do not take reservations. We even checked their website again before coming this time and it says on their website that they DO NOT take reservations. Upon arriving to the restaurant we were told that we would have to wait longer because we did not have a reservation. We were told that even though they say they do not take reservations, they do now because it is the off season. I guess we were supposed to read their minds and know that their policy changes at an unadvertised date. Poor customer service if you ask me. The food was good as usual (we love their fish spread). Our waitress was kind and helpful, even making sure that we got the best price possible on our food by choosing an item off the happy hour menu for us. The dining area was adequately clean. The bathrooms are adequate as well. I will say that the most trouble we have had is with the host staff. This is not our first time having issues with them being unfriendly or not paying attention to customers. For these reasons I feel like a 4 star review would be too generous.
