Just recently checked out this fabulous spot and everything was incredible. The lighting and whole vibe of the place was super romantic, and I loved seeing the live music playing! The food was immaculate. From the chopped Cesar starter salad with a delicious warm bread roll, to the final filet and lobster my friend and I shared, it was a beautiful experience! I love this place. Have you been more than once. The ambience is good you are greeted upon arrival, the service has been excellent and the food, especially the meat meatballs, buffalo wings for starters. I've also had pork chops, steak really fresh salad. The only thing that was not excellent was the meatloaf which was a little bit overdone for my taste so it made it a little dry. I definitely plan to go back and try other dishes. read more

I truly don't understand the big hype about Martini. The restaurant is dated and felt like we entered the twilight zone. Normally I would start with the food but tonight our server Lacey stole the show. She was knowledgeable and passionate about the menu her recommendations did not miss. She truly was a delight. Our waitress Chrissy was very friendly and gave us very good service.my wife had french onion soup and the Del Mar entree, opting for flounder instead of the default of tilapia. She said it was excellent. I had a chopped caprese salad and the blackened salmon with bleu cheese crust for entre. It was excellent, but I think the bleu cheese crust was a bit overpowering for the salmon. This is a nice restaurant, it has live music, and a calming atmosphere. This is my absolute favorite place for happy hour - the drink specials are great, but the food is even better. Thursday and Friday night are a special treat because they have live jazz playing the absolute best music. The last time I went, we were a party of seven and they still managed to get us seated in less than 30 minutes - - and martinis is always crowded. The staff is so friendly and professional and so are their customers... Looks can be deceiving. From the outside this place looks like a dive bar. Inside it's dark and moody. The night we were there had an actual lounge singer, it was really cool. They had martini specials that night and we took advantage! My hubby had the prime rib, I had the chicken and we shared class in wine sauce. The food was delicious! We left stuffed! We really enjoyed our first visit to Martini. The service was wonderful. We were lucky enough to have a lovely server named Michaela or Mikayla (unsure on spelling), and she was so attentive and personable. We never had to wait long for her to return, and she was so sweet, she really added to our experience. The ambience was nice, not too loud. There was a musician playing jazz, but we weren't seated close enough to him for it to be too loud. The lighting was quite dim. So it was very romantic but maybe not the best for reading menus. We started with a Shrimp Cocktail, which was delicious. I know it's hard to mess up a shrimp cocktail so the bar isn't terribly high, but we're big shrimp cocktail connoisseurs, and we were very pleased with this one. It consisted of 8 moderately big shrimp, and some very flavorful cocktail sauce. I got the House Salad which was very nice, but nothing spectacular (though I don't expect much from a house salad). It was nicely chopped with salami, tomatoes, feta cheese, and a light homemade Italian dressing. The breadstick was underwhelming but it made a great vehicle for scooping up the last of the dressing. My date got the New England Clam Chowder, which was quite yummy. Nice chunks of clam and potato, well seasoned, very comforting. For my entree, I ordered the Twin Lobster Tails. It was fresh and hot and served with drawn butter and a charred lemon, which I always think is a nice touch. The texture was great, and the lemon and butter were delicious, simple complements. Maybe not the most magnificent lobster I've ever had, but I was definitely not disappointed. I ordered it with a side of the Garlic Mashed Potatoes. I wouldn't say they were super garlicky, but the flavor was great, nice and savory. It had some bits of red potato skin and small potato chunks throughout, giving it a delightful texture. My date ordered the Martini Fettuccine, and he was just whelmed by it (not overwhelmed or underwhelmed). It was a good dish, yummy and hearty, but somewhat unremarkable. A good solid pasta dish. We got the Tiramisu for dessert, and again it was lovely but not the best tiramisu I've had. It was very cold so it did feel like it had been made a while ago (or maybe even store bought) and kept in a fridge or freezer. The flavors were sweet and coffee-y, but I was disappointed but the use of Cool Whip (or some other whipped dessert topping) as the accompaniment. I think some simple whipped cream would have paired better since the tiramisu was already so sweet. Lastly, the cocktails were wonderful, which is to be expected at a restaurant called Martini. We tried the Blue Cheese martini, and I got mine extra dirty. It was wonderfully savory and flavorful, definitely yummy if you like a blue cheese olive martini. My favorite part of the evening, though, was the Melt Away martini I got for dessert. Caramel vodka, butterscotch schnapps, a caramel drizzle, and a salt rim. Our server Mikayla was AWESOME!! All 3 of use tipped over 40% - it was that good. The food didn't live up to the hype though. The grouper was dry and over cooked, covered by a sauce in an attempt to hide the mistakes. You want good Grouper go to Joes, just saying.. Another dish we had was angel hair with meatballs. "Family Recipe" meatballs - better call grandma- because the family messed up her recipe. The meatballs were dry and unseasoned; t together seemed to be filled with dry bread chunks. And the sauce was unflavored and greasy. Pasta was cooked well but that's about it in the fish. The Filet dish was cooked to order and there were no complaints. Only reason we didn't drop review to 2 stars. The key lime "pie" was NO pie. It was a tart.. and it was not key lime sour enough to be key lime and the crust was entirely to thick with graham cracker crust over powering any other flavors. read more

Overall, this is a good find in North Myrtle Beach. It's not hard to find but you can easily miss it so look for the Kim's Interior Design sign and the Martini sign is just below it. The food here is good but I had a hankering for some good fish. Unfortunately, every fish entree is covered in a cream sauce which is a huge turn off for me. I've always believed a well seasoned, fresh piece of fish speaks for itself. I don't like sauces on my fish. That's just me. I'm sure plenty of people would love it. It's just not my thing. I ended up starting with the Clam Chowder appetizer which was very good. However, my wife had the French Onion Soup and it was out of this world good. I'd definitely get that soup the next time we come here. I also ordered the Shrimp and Grits which was very good but the grits threw me a curve. They don't make it the way you traditionally have shrimp and grits. The grits are formed into a brick shape and fried. I thought it was unique and and actually pretty good. The sauce was delicious too. My wife had the Filet Mignon and that was quite tasty. It's worth a trip if you're in the area. They also have a nice bar with live music. read more

But walking in, it's such a fun looking place. The blue cheese Martini was divine. Hubby did the old fashioned and it had a bright red cherry (like for a sundae) and a full orange slice in it with a bunch of ice. Not what he was quite looking for...he wanted the traditional with an orange peel, block ice, and luxardo deep red cherry. (The old fashioned is the only reason it's not a 5 star!) We both got the steak medium. Came with a house salad. The salad was chopped with house Italian and it was so good! The he steak was PERFECT! Flavorful, melt in your mouth good! Hubby got mashed potatoes and liked them but he prefers no skin in mashed potatoes. I saw a review to get the Alfredo side (upgrade for $3) and I'm so glad I did! It was the best I've ever had! It was busy but we made a reservation back in December for February 14th. It was kind of loud but not so loud you had to shout, the drinks, which yes, I had a few. A strawberry kiss martini. And pomegranate cosmopolitan, I was feeling pretty carefree, de-stressed and relaxed. I had the Italian meatloaf. They don't lie! I was debating between the martini chicken Alfredo and the meatloaf. I went with the meatloaf, definitely flavorful. I went with a bowl of clam chowder. Yum .. really good! My bf had the ribeye steak and fettuccine Alfredo with a house salad with blue cheese. When we requested bread, it was the same type of bread you get in Olive Garden. I give it a 3. We ordered Onion Soup, and it was good. Not very hot, though. I give it a 7. My wife ordered the Grouper, and it was OK: about a 5 on a scale of 1-10. I ordered Prime Rib, and it was decent: about a 7 on a scale of 1-10. I ordered a mixed drink (Old Fashioned) and it was good: about an 8. Bill with tip was about $150 for the two of us.
