Fried Calamari, a bit on the tough side
Steve M.

The portions are huge, and prices are very reasonable, which is probably why the restaurant was hopping. This is a large place, with very comfortable booths. Service was very good. We started with the Fried Calamari which was Lightly Breaded and Fried with a side of somewhat Spicy Marinara Sauce. The sauce was good, but the Calamari was a bit tough. The wife had Linguini With Clams Sauce. The Clams were a bit overcooked and tough. The wife also did not enjoy the clam sauce which was very bitter. The wife also ordered a side of meatballs, which she loved. The meatballs were large and the sauce was excellent. This made her wish she had gotten the spaghetti and meatballs, which are probably fantastic. I ordered and enjoyed the Zuppa Di Pesce. This was a massive (and I mean massive) plate (no service platter), of Shrimp, Sea Scallops, Calamari, PEI Mussels, Little Neck Clams, sauteed in a Fra Diavolo sauce, all served over linguini. The sauce was good and spicy, but if I had to do it again, I would get it Marinara. I also got a side of Italian Sausage, which I had to take home and eat the next day, because as stated above, my Zuppa Di Pesce was so massive. The side dish contained 2 good size sausages in Marinara sauce which were excellent and made for a great. I would defiantly order them again.

I'll give it 4 stars. Absolutely wonderful service by Victoria but our main dishes were just ok. Nothing we both would order again. I had Veal Marsala and my wife had fettuccine Alfredo. I did order a few meatballs as an appetizer and they were good. Our salads were delicious. I had a Ceaser Salad and my wife had a house salad with the Italian dressing which she loved. My wife's favorite was the dipping sauce for the bread. The place was packed yet our appetizer, salads and meals came out very timely. I want to give it another chance. I'd go back

The best Italian restaurant! Make reservations or show up when they open! Cozy, classy and ritzy. Full bar with fun drinks- my favorite is the Pomegranate martini (I have to use gin).... Delicious Been here three times now and they never disappoint! Servers are so friendly and awesome!! Try the specials too!!!

The food and service at Villa Tuscanna were amazing. The bread with infused olive oil is a great starter to the meal. We each enjoyed our entrees. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly! My only complaint would be that the music is simply too loud. My partner and I had to basically shout to hear each other over the music.

We travel often, eat well, and are working our way through a running list of Michelin-starred restaurants. I only say that to make clear: our palates aren't the problem. This spot had one of the more unusual atmospheres we've encountered. The interior leaned heavily into chrome, black lacquer, and a kind of flashy masculinity that felt a bit dated--think bachelor pad meets nightclub, with a lot of visual noise. Not necessarily a dealbreaker, but definitely not our vibe. The more serious issue was the table next to us loudly making disparaging comments about another couple nearby. The language was inappropriate and made everyone around visibly uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the staff didn't intervene. I understand you can't always control guests, but you can set the tone--and in this case, the silence spoke volumes. That said, my risotto was excellent. Perfectly cooked, rich, and deeply flavorful. I even told my wife (with some hesitation) that it might rival hers--which is high praise in our house. But the rest of the meal didn't quite measure up. Both of our cocktails tasted watered down, almost as if the original flavor had been diluted into a whisper. Her shrimp scampi arrived in a pool of liquid and lacked the garlicky richness we associate with the dish. It wasn't inedible, but it was definitely missing that bold scampi profile. There's clearly talent in the kitchen, and I can imagine someone having a great experience here on a different night. But between the odd ambiance, the inattentive service, and the uneven execution, it just didn't hit the mark for us. Three stars for the risotto and potential--but not a place we'd rush back to.

We each picked a couple items, and at first I was skeptical about how well such a mixed menu would come together. That skepticism didn't last long. What's impressive is how they manage to cover different cuisines and still execute them well. The shishito peppers came perfectly grilled and paired with an amazing sauce that really elevated them beyond a typical appetizer. The meatballs felt like something straight out of a family kitchen comforting, rich, and reminiscent of grandma-style cooking. The shrimp scampi was another standout: flavorful, well-balanced, and not overdone with butter or garlic. But the real highlight of the night was the pistachio espresso martini so smooth, creative, and easily one of the most memorable cocktails on the menu. Overall, it's a great spot for sharing plates and trying a little bit of everything. It turns what could feel like a scattered menu into a fun, consistently solid dining experience.

Myrtle Beach has been needing a true lounge like this, and Bin 2004 absolutely delivered. The decor and ambiance were stunning, intimate, and stylish without feeling pretentious. The food was just as impressive. We had the charcuterie board, papas bravas, meatballs with whipped ricotta, sliders, Oreo cheesecake, and tiramisu. Every single dish was a hit, and the presentation was just as amazing as the taste. The wine menu is massive, and the cocktails were incredible. The pistachio martini was a standout and a must-try. Our server, Laurie, truly made the night. She gave the best recommendations, was incredibly attentive, and made great conversation. Top-tier service all around! Overall, an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for great vibes, amazing food and drinks, and a place that genuinely raises the bar in Myrtle Beach, this is it. We'll absolutely be back.

**Ghost Tour & Dinner Experience** This was one of the most bizarre and unprofessional dining…read moreexperiences I've ever had. My mom and sister and I visited from Charleston and planned a trip to Little River specifically to have dinner at The Brentwood and take their ghost tour. The entire evening though was one disappointment after another: from the food to the service to the "ghost tour". Dinner was chaotic before it even began. The menu was changed multiple times by head cook Steve...first the chicken was unavailable, then it was duck, then suddenly chicken Marsala, then back to chicken Caprese. My sister and I went with the chicken caprese and our mom the short ribs. When we finally did get our meals, the chicken dish looked NOTHING like what was described and it was NOT good. It was almost like they just took whatever extra ingredients they had in the kitchen and threw it together to make some type of a chicken pasta dish. They were literally giving away additional plates of it to the other diners during the ghost tour experience for free. My sister and I both left our plates mostly untouched, and our server Lorena didn't ask a single question about why two entrées went back almost full. For the price, it was disappointing to leave hungry. Dessert didn't help either...no one around us finished theirs. And then there was the ghost tour. To call it a "tour" is generous...and it was somehow even worse than dinner. It started with reality TV clips from different ghost hunting show that we could've watched online for free. After that, our guide Steve (yes, the same person who cooked our dinner) led us on what was maybe a 15-minute walk while repeating the same stories multple times he'd already told us earlier in the evening. He seemed extremely disheveled and under the influence of something. His Levi's boxers were literally hanging out of his jeans the entire time. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable. When the "tour" ended, we didn't even bother sticking around to explore the historic property. We were over it. We ended up talking with another couple who had driven in (like us) to celebrate their anniversary, and they were just as disappointed and confused by the whole experience as we were. I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant or the ghost tour to anyone in its current state.

This guy is on another level. From the moment we sat down, Nick's energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He wasn't just taking our order -- he was curating an experience. Now let's talk about the Cacio e Pepe -- insanely good doesn't even begin to cover it. It was perfectly executed: silky, bold, with just the right bite of pepper. Classic done right. But you know what made it taste even better? Nick. He recommended it with such confidence and enthusiasm that we had to order it, and he absolutely delivered. Nick was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and just an all-around fantastic human being. He made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish -- checking in at exactly the right moments, offering spot-on suggestions, and keeping the whole experience flowing effortlessly. If you go to Portofino, you absolutely should ask for Nick by name. He is the kind of server that reminds you why going out to dinner is supposed to be a special occasion. In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.
