As a bourbon drinker I had to stop in and try this place out. I tried the bourbon flight which I highly impressed by. Anytime I need a local bourbon spot I would stop in and buy a bottle. Service was very slow and items came out slow. I would say that was the only downside

New favorite spot on the East Coast! Seriously! It's unlike any other distillery I've been to. It's huge instead, wide open, yet somehow still cozy. The cocktail flights are genius, the prices are unbeatable, and the drinks are unique and outstanding. Our waitress, Ashley, was the absolute best! She gave the greatest recs (for both drinks and other places to go after). Love ya girl!! Highly recommend the Bloody Mary and Spicy Marg. I also did the bourbon tasting and you can't beat the price. They were all smooth and tasty. I love that they make all their alcohols and ingredients in house! I'm already planning my next trip back (and I live 3.5 hours away in NC!).

Wow, talk about options!! I'm not a beer or whiskey person so I was happy to see craft cocktails as an option! Eric was AMAZING! He was very attentive and explained everything and asked if we had questions along with giving us samples when we came in. We made the mistake of moving tables because my husband is disabled and has trouble at high-top tables because our new server Mary Jo rarely checked on us and I had to wave her down. We ordered a chicken bacon alfredo Pizza. It was over garlicky and salty The Flights were amazing and strong. The afternoon delight cocktail (seasonal) was my favorite. Ask for Eric and you won't be disappointed!

Smaller inside than it looks from the street, but that's certainly due to production side of things. Good local spirits of varying types. They of course do tours and spirits flights as well as in house cocktail specialties and reliables like an old fashioned. I posted menu pics of their pricing and all offerings. They do have a small selection of sammiches and munchies made in house as well. Pro tip, just ask for a small taster of anything you'd like and they'll oblige. Also, most of their bottled spirits are widely available, often at a lower price, at nearly all liquor stores across the Grand Strand. My favorite so far is their Big Six double oaked bourbon. We've found all the help to be very friendly. They also have strong and free wifi, just like 'merica! Only downer would be that it shares a parking lot and wall with a super busy Dunkin Donuts and as a result, a parking spot can sometimes be difficult to find.

Food: we ordered 2 flights! The flights consisted of 8 different cocktails! We enjoyed them all. We live in GA! If I was local I would be here ALL the time! Service: Exceptional! Although it was super busy our waitress made sure we had everything we needed. Ambiance: I loved being able to to see the machinery as it produced! It reminded me of a flute!

Do not let the entrance by the Dunkin Donuts make your first impression. We met my best friend here for her birthday and we really enjoyed it. The inside has a cool vibe. Our waitress was terrific and the tasting setup is great. Since it was the holidays, they gave us a free shot of Santa's Helper. It was like an amazing hot peppermint cocoa in a shot. We then sampled a prohibition style bourbon. Now that had some burn! I did a flight of cocktails and would recommend this so you can sample the various spirits and drinks. You can also do a flight of just the spirits as well. We were super hungry and all of the "bites" were great. We tried all three paninis and all of them were packed with flavor. My favorite drink was the "bless your heart." It was simple, not too sweet, and that JoJo gin is smooth. We ended up doing the special of buy 3 bottles and get 30% off. Fun time, good spirits, great service.

What a fun afternoon at Twelve33! We took the tour and had Kevin as our guide. He was super knowledgeable and passionate about his business. We learned so much about the distilling process and also about the prohibition era. The educational tour of the distillery lasted about 45 minutes, and afterwards we were given the secret password to the hidden speakeasy for our tasting part of the tour. We got about 6 samples and then got to choose a cocktail. Everything was very delicious and a lot of fun! We decided to stay for some snacks and went out into the main bar area. Kathy, our server was so welcoming and friendly! She even replaced a spilled drink for me! We tried the pretzel bites and they were very yummy. We ended up buying the spiced rum and the cream coffee liquor to take home with us. 10/10 very nice fun afternoon out. We would visit again when in the area!

An absolute MUST if you are in North Myrtle Beach area! The cocktails are the absolute highest quality you will ever find! The products are great and they have an amazing selection!! The food is delicious as well. The staff and owner are so fun and always so welcoming!! If you are fortunate you may get to meet one of the two puppies which are just too cute!!

The tour was well worth the money. It was one of the best if the best distillery tours we have ever been on. Informative, as well as entertaining. I highly recommend it. I found the different bourbons to be excellent. I highly recommend a stop when you're in Myrtle Beach.

I like to try new whiskey/bourbon's when in local areas. Came here and just felt like nobody cared we were there. Decided to get a neat pour as didn't want to try other things. For $8 the pour is a decent size for sure. Never offered any pretzels and saw another table got them. Server never asked if we wanted food. I was trying to get more info about the place as I asked sever how long have you been open. Five years and conversation ended there. Didn't seem to want to tell me or wife more about their story etc. For us small batch places are cool and if you have a good story, then maybe I'll buy something. We leave for home tomorrow and won't be back to MB anytime soon. Whiskey was decent. Feel some I've had in TN are better but that's just my opinion. Feel our sever could have made things better by acting like he cares we were there.

I stopped in with my husband to check out their tours for our kids+spouse/partner. Met at the front by a wonderful enthusiastic young lady who gave us a great rundown on the whole place. We were Intrigued to say the least with 2 whiskey drinkers, and 2 that like lighter spirits. So we purchased a good bottle of bourbon for Christmas arrival and 4 tours for their stockings scheduled for Friday after Christmas. All were excited for the tastings but none of them were prepared for how awesome the tour was. From the history & process to the speakeasy at the end - they were blown away. They talked all through dinner about the tour, bought many bottles to take back to Chicago, and couldn't wait to get home after dinner to enjoy a holiday spirit with us. I am strongly recommending this experience and will be signing my husband and I up for our own tour when we come back to Calabash. If you like great quality hand crafted bourbon and beyond I'm saying this is something you don't want to miss!

Overpriced products and location isn't great--attached to a Dunkin Donuts hard to turn in and out of.

Ask the Community - Twelve 33 Distillery

Is there outdoor space we could have a drink with our pups?

I would call them because when I was there I didn't see any outdoor seating but that was before Covid.

    Do they serve snacks?

Because they are a distillery they are not allowed to serve food. They do offer little pretzels with drinks. You can only have a max of 3oz of liquor in any combination as well. Liquor laws. The rum and bourbon and vodkas are amazing.…

Housed inside a restored 1947 Quonset hut -- those curved steel structures originally designed for WWII -- the space manages to feel both industrial and welcoming at the same time. Inside, the high arched ceiling, natural light, plants, and comfortable leather seating create a relaxed lounge atmosphere that feels intentional rather than trendy. Outside, the patio area with string lights and open-air seating gives you a second completely different vibe, perfect for enjoying North Carolina sunshine. The cocktails absolutely delivered. The Brown Butter Old Fashioned is a standout. Brown butter-washed bourbon adds a subtle nutty richness that rounds off the edges of the whiskey beautifully, while the cinnamon bitters and maple bring warmth without turning the drink into dessert. It's creative but still respects the classic Old Fashioned structure -- which is exactly how a riff on a traditional cocktail should be done. The Limoncello Tonic was bright, refreshing, and crisp -- a perfect counterpoint. House-made limoncello with tonic and citrus notes makes for an easy-drinking, sunny cocktail that feels light but still flavorful. Ideal patio drink. Service and presentation appear polished, and the fact that they distill many of their own spirits in-house adds authenticity you don't always get at cocktail lounges. There's also something admirable about adaptive reuse like this. Taking a mid-century industrial structure and turning it into a modern social space is a reminder that good design doesn't have to erase history -- it can build on it. Overall: Excellent atmosphere, thoughtfully crafted drinks, unique historic setting, and a relaxed but upscale vibe. A place that feels both local and special at the same time. A special shout-out to Abigail, the bar back, who had a fantastic system for handling the crowd. Instead of everyone clustering around the bar trying to figure out where the line started or ended, she encouraged us to grab a seat and brought the drinks out when they were ready. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and organized, and it's the kind of thoughtful service detail that really stands out. Kudos Abigail!

The three of us were on a girls' trip to Oak Island, so we took the golf cart over to Lone Rider. Parking was easy, even with a short wait for an outdoor table. But there were plenty of picnic tables and bar seating where we could relax in the meantime. Once we were seated outside, the view overlooking the sound was absolutely worth it. Peaceful, relaxing, exactly what we were hoping for. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We all ended up ordering the Smash Burger, and yes, despite the lettuce headlines, we kept the lettuce on and lived to tell the tale. My friends chose tots, and I went with the fries. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the Smash Burger on Texas toast was a great twist. Prices felt fair for the area, especially given the location and overall vibe. We were in town and wanting to visit a distillery, it was a bonus that they made moonshine and whiskey. They are only open in Saturday's so I submitted a message on their website, within two minutes one of the owners, Steve, text me to set up a visit on the only day we were available. He was incredibly accommodating, he even text me the day of to verify our tasting. We later found out that he drove directly from his primary job in another town to meet us there. The tour and Tasting was free! The Distillery was small, but clean and well decorated. We started with a quick tour and explanation of their process. He was very patient with my silly questions and more than happy to explain everything to us. After the tour we moved on to the tasting. He offered for us to try any and all of what they make there. We didn't not need that but tried many of them. We ended up purchasing the whiskey, lemon drop, and blackberry moonshine, although there were several others we enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good way to spend an hour and learn a little about the distilling process.
