We have recently moved here and have tried this restaurant twice. Both times we tried eating inside. On both occasions the orders were incorrect. Additionally, the wait is LONG! Also, it's odd that they have napkins held captive behind the counter.....and they keep only one of the 2 drink machines filled with ice so you have to wait in line to get ice. read more

Ok, the first time, I passed it off as a bad day. Up until recently, it was the better Mcdonalds in the area. The second time, I couldn't understand how a simple order could get screwed up. The third time, its a pattern. Today, is the final straw. First, we paid and then the second window said we did not. So, the card was processed again and of course it up to us to make sure we didn't pay twice. They hand us the food and b4 driving away I check and the order is WRONG AGAIN. I go in and tell them its wrong but it up to me to explain to them that what is in the bag and what we got is not the same. So... wait and wait till they fix it. Unknown to me, in the meantime mu husband is handed a bag of food. He said she handed it and left b4 he had a chance to say a word. Now, I come out with the supposed order correct and I get to take someone elses food back in. Well the order was correct, but no straws, no napkins. That it. I never write a bad review based on one bad experience. It's understandable that every now and then someone makes a mistake or someone no-shows for a shift leaving the staff short handed. I travel this route a lot, typically I avoid this location due to bad past experiences and them not honoring the typical lowest Mcdonalds prices on the app. I was in a hurry and used the McD app to preorder at the closest location without thinking which one it was. (I pass about four on the way out of North Myrtle). Once I got there I realized why I never order here. I ordered a typical breakfast combo six minutes away so it would be ready at the counter. When I arrived at 6:10 the doors were still locked. It suddenly dawned on me that this is what happened the last time I went there. Not sure if they are just late opening or they don't open the dining room at 6:00 AM like their hours say? I got in the drive through line and there were six cars ahead of me. I set there for about 7 minutes and nobody ever placed an order. By that time there were four more cars behind me. I eventually gave up and went to the Hardees down the street and was in and out in about 2 minutes without pre-ordering. They got me for $6 as I already ordered and hit "I am here" six miles away so no easy way to get my money back. However that will be the last $6 this location ever gets from me. Not sure what is going on in the early mornings here but either open on time or change your hours. Very frustrating for those in a hurry to spend 20 minutes getting pre-ordered fast food. read more

Stopped in to grab a bite. Tried to use my app but got confused. The girl (KS3) was very nice and patient. I ended up just using my rewards and got a free ice cream cone. It was delicious. It's funny to watch reviewers hate on Mac while they eat here. Come on, it's McDonald's, you've not made a sudden world shaking discovery that it isn't the healthiest eats. This one is clean, relatively quick, and chain established quality. Nobody else makes this Big Mac and few have a better fish. If you come to McDonald's expecting 5-star healthy dining then you're what's wrong with the world. If you'd like a BigMac or Filet-o-Fish or whatever, then it's fine. A good restaurant, in my experience. I dropped in here, in search of some coffee and a safe, comfortable place to drink it, and this McDonald's satisfied on both accounts. The staff I interacted with were friendly, and fast with my coffee. Then, after seating myself in the clean and spacious dining room, I proceeded to spend a long lunch hour there, sipping coffee and reading a good book amid my fellow patrons, just letting the world go by -- a priceless experience, as it were. (It might seem like a "little" thing, to successfully have a meal in a fast-food joint; however, I don't take such luxuries for granted. In fact, I treasure my time at this McDonald's, as routine as it might be for most people.) So, big thanks to everybody who runs this place, for providing me the scene for my memorable lunch. The drive-thru was jammed and people were backing up out of one lane, so we decided to just go in and get our biscuit sandwich and a coffee. Total chaos. Employees yelling to each other, two grabbed french fries out of a person's order and got a coke and went on break, etc. No one at any of the registers! After a few minutes, I ordered using the kiosk and while there one girl dropped her broom and came over and waited on someone. The kiosk told me to pay at the register but by the time I got over there, she was back sweeping up with her broom. I waited more minutes-- registers remained empty as more customers came in. My fish sandwich that I just bought at McDonald's needs to be on the dollar menu. It was good, but it was so small. I asked for lettuce and tomato to be added which they said cost extra, I said that was fine as long as it was not going to be the end piece of the tomato with a hole in it since I had to pay a whole dollar. It ended up being like 2 slices of a cherry tomato, and a little peice of a wilted leaf, which was not worth the extra dollar I had to pay. Eh. If you're going to eat at McDonalds, I suppose this is a nice one! Especially since they re-built a few years ago. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the service fast and efficient! Bathrooms were also decent and clean. I like the new play area too! It's not as fun as a ball pit and cool slide and tunnel, but much cleaner. Very disappointed at this McDonald's location they have taken fast food to the next level introducing reverse fast food where your order literally gets reversed it's so slow. Not to mention the employees are among the rudest McDonald's employees I have ever encountered and I have encountered quite a few over my 20 years in McDonald's enjoyment. Normally I don't eat here. But I was running short on time so I decided to go through the drive-thru. The automated welcome response that comes over the speaker system evidently they changed it to a gay person's voice. So I placed my order and I waited then another guy's voice came on and asked if he can help me. So I placed my same order a second time. Well he sat there I could hear him strumming his fingers over the microphone and I sat there and waited. Then a minute later he asked me again. I said I'm not repeating myself a third time for the same cheap order. McDonald's is probably the greatest and most healthy food family establishment I have ever been too. I ordered a #1 large with a coke. Got sweet and sour sauce mixed with bbq that is. I also got 2 20 piece nuggets so that makes 40 nuggets. Swagg! I also tried the play place which I managed to catch bird flu in the ball pit. This is a 24 hour drive thru. Was there at 5:30 AM and received the automated attendant welcome and asked to take order. I asked a question, couldn't get anyone to respond. Tried the other drive thru, same thing. Drove around & could see employees in the store but apparently they didn't want to respond. Apparently even though they are open for business 24 hours they don't serve customers at 5:30 AM. McDonald's lost a customer permanently as I won't be treated that way. read more

Went to take my 2 daughters there just to get them milkshakes. After waiting in line for 10 to 15 minutes and listening to people complain about waiting to get their food (30 min) and nobody running registers all the while the manager and an employee or two were outside smoking we walked out right behind another couple that was walking out. Morning crew is great. Stay away at night. They have rude employees who call customers "greedy" for asking for extra sauce in front of other customers. Where was management? Right there ignoring it all. Even after I confronted the girl about how rude she was and that a 15 cent sauce wasn't the reason she wasn't getting a raise. It was her attitude. I had a problem with her the previous weekend. I guess I was greedy too because I asked for an extra sauce. Very unprofessional, they can do better. Food was fine, but the wait was long. We took the drive through to order for 6 people. The people were very rude and stuck up. The sodas were 2 inches below the top of the cup and they forgot to put ice in the sodas... How do you do that? When they gave us our meals, we didn't know if they had given us everything so we were stuck there, trying to get their attention and no one came. I go there right regularly for a breakfast biscuit and usually have no problems. This morning was egregious enough to warrant the one star. When I arrived there was one person in front of me at the drive thru. They asked me for my order and took quite some time to acknowledge that they had heard me. The person taking the payment was rather rude in confirming my order which included a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Then I had and extended wait at the next window for my food. I've been there when it was busier and never had to wait that long. In spite of having to wait, I got to my destination to find, not a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, but a biscuit with some nasty looking meat, I assume to be chicken. If you cannot tell the difference between that nasty thing and what I actually ordered, then you are not deserving of a salary above minimum wage. read more
