It's just a sign
Deej Jo A.

I'm sorry but I can't say much nice stuff except their fries are good and servers are nice. Not enough for me to give a higher rating than this because ilI think it's a click bait for tourists. You think you're saving but you're not. Rather go in a fast food chain and save 200%. It's located nicely near the boardwalk and the sign says "world famous" food basket and footlong. That got us. I can say they're not true. Food not good for a high price, walk less than 5 minutes mall at the nearest high rise hotel you see, they have much better food there. It's a closed building but the doors are always open like al fresco, so you have to shooo some flies away while eating. For the sake of supporting local, you can try for yourself but don't say I didn't warn you. ;)

Funnel cake fries

Decided to take a walk down the Myrtle Beach strip. At the last minute wanted to get a funnel cake late at night. To our delight, Peaches Corner was still open and had funnel cake fries. They were piping hot and delicious! The cashier was super nice. The place is a really cute counter top style restaurant with open doors. We only got funnel cake fries but I'd come back to try more of their menu.

Footlong

Food was terrible. The hot dogs were - off color- the chili was legit cold. We waited over 30 minutes in a not busy restaurant. Cheese fries were hot and okay. The kids liked the funnel fries. However, not at all worth the time or risk of a stomach ache from cold food. One and done. 2 only because the staff were nice.

Guy behind counter was so so friendly and asking up on how everything is/was. Food was also delicious and it came out quick!

Visiting Myrtle Beach enjoying a stroll on the Boardwalk and ran into this 80 year old gem. Food was fresh! Customer Service was awesome & if you're looking for a diner vibe this is your place!

Catfish sandwich

The food was not that great ! The fish sandwich was not very big for the cost . The footlong was average according to my husband . The staff were nice and friendly but I would not go back for food .

Delicious double burger. Must take the first bite in house even with its to go!

Seating outside and inside. There's also a few arcade games for kids or adults to play as you wait for your order. It's got the feel of a diner on the beach. There was only 2 employees who I believe were also the owners. Great service and hospitality. This place is unassuming, You don't expect the food to taste as great as it does. All the food is cooked fresh. You can taste the quality of the food that is used. The food is served in dog bowls. It's gimmicky, so some people might be turned off or find it unsanitary. They line the bowls with wax paper and I would think have not been eaten out of by dogs. I can't believe I actually had to say it, but after reading some of the reviews I think it was necessary. The food was fantastic. We got the garlic parmesan wings to start. The sauce was flavorful and the wings were drowned in it. Not as much meat as I would like on the wing, but still delicious. I dipped my fries in the leftover sauce. It added to the great taste of the fries which are hand cut and seasoned nicely. I got the double cheeseburger. I added jalapeños, spicy mustard, ketchup, and mayo from the free condiment list. If you have never tried it like this, I highly suggest it. It may sound like too much on the burger, but you will not be disappointed. The burger was fresh and cook exactly how I asked. Just the right amount of condiments and jalapeños were on the burger. I will definitely be returning to try one of the hotdogs they have on the menu. Great experience and looking forward to coming back.

One of three popular Southern fast food chains that my wife and I wanted to visit during our…read moreCarolina trip, Cook Out provided a typical burger experience at a good price. The first Cook Out restaurant opened in Greensboro, NC in 1989. They opened their first non-NC store in SC in 2010, and has continued to grow till now reaching over 360 locations around the South. All their ground beef is delivered fresh to each store, adhering to their motto of "Always Fresh, Never Frozen". We visited this location, in the heart of the tourist zone in Myrtle Beach. Only their drive-thru and walk-up are open, with their dining room continuing to be closed (though they have a few picnic tables in their parking lot). They are known for their burgers and milkshakes, a formula used by practically every successful burger shack. Their combo meals are called 'trays', so we got two regular trays. First ($7.99) consisted of a Big Dbl with grilled onions and cheese (+0.55), added tomato (+0.10). The sides were white cheddar bites (tasted similar to fried cheese curds) and fries (skin-on). I upgraded the beverage from a soda to a Oreo Mint Shake (+1.50). Added a side of hush puppies for $1.99. Second ($7.99) was 3 chicken strips, cole slaw, and onion rings with peanut butter fudge upgrade (+1.50). It didn't take too long for the order to completed, bringing it back to eat in our kitchenette back at the resort. It was plenty of food, with the burger being exactly how I like it. The shakes were very thick, and easily savable for later...we ate it like ice cream. All the rest were solid, with generous portions...it's what you would expect from any cafeteria that has a good deep fryer, very good for the price. The cole slaw was just finely diced cabbage which added some needed fiber to the meal. And the hush puppy pieces were very dense, two were plenty for me...it's the ultimate cheap filler food.

There was a window that you ordered at. The people inside were so busy that the window rarely opened. About 20 other people and I stood outside in the rain crossing our fingers that the window would open and give out food or take an order. Haha. I'm from the west coast. I think the cook out concept is awesome. The menu and quality of the food seemed on par with Sonic.

Here are their comments: Strawberry cheesecake-tasted like vanilla with barely a hint of strawberry. The ice cream was WAY too soft and was melting when the woman handed it to me. tasted watery. Terrible. Coffee- absolutely awful. Tasted like weak chocolate and not even a little bit of coffee flavor. Way too soft. Terrible. Fudge brownie- tasted like coffee flavor, just with slightly more chocolate. couldn't finish it. just terrible. The one girl that got hard ice cream actually liked it and that's the only reason for the second star. Nice chocolaty flavor and thick bands of peanut butter throughout. Very tasty I love ice cream, so I hate giving ice cream joints bad reviews, but Iggy's just wasn't good.

I was honestly very surprised by how much I enjoyed everything. The inside of this quaint little restaurant has a strong German feel. The staff are dressed traditionally, which makes the whole place feel charming and authentic. It is honestly adorable. I would love to return when they have live music to enjoy the full experience. We started with the potato pancakes and the sausage platter, and both were excellent. Every sausage on the platter was seasoned so well that I did not even need mustard. I ate each one exactly as it was served, and the flavor was fantastic. The pretzels that came with the platter were also very good. The potato pancakes were phenomenal. I easily could have eaten more, but I wanted to save room for my entrée. For my meal, I ordered the veal schnitzel with spaetzle and potato salad, along with mushroom gravy. The veal was incredibly tender and absolutely delicious. I loved it so much that I want to try making it at home. The spaetzle was fantastic and something completely new for me. The mushroom gravy really brought everything together and made the dish feel complete. The potato salad was just average, but everything else was outstanding. My boyfriend ordered the pork schnitzel with spaetzle and really enjoyed his meal as well. Between the music, the cozy atmosphere, and the wonderful food, the entire experience was warm and memorable. This was such a great introduction to German cuisine, and I would definitely return.
