What an awesome place to go. The beer and food are top notch. Laid back vibes and price is great. Cheesesteak sandwich is bangin'. Beer cheese is great! Highly recommend if you're in the area. Cool seating with board games and tons to keep the kiddos occupied while the adults enjoy some brews and drinks.

Poutine. 15 bucks..definitely made for 2 people. Good but not worth 15 bucks. Should be 10 dollars.

Had a very bad experience here. First off, we were overcharged for our beers and we had to take additional time to get our bill corrected. Tuesday, 5 pm visit and stayed about an hour. Must have been 25 to 30 patrons in the whole place and only 1 person waiting on customers. That means this beertender was pouring every beer, running all food items from the kitchen to the entire place, bussing tables and checking out customers that came in to buy 4 packs. It was crazy. This was in August, during the summer and they only had 1 person working! Took a good 15 minutes every time we wanted a beer and we found the beertender to be very offputting. This was because he would consistently walk right past us as we sat at the bar and not make eye contact. He went out of his way to make sure he didn't make eye contact. We pushed our empty beer glasses forward to make sure he'd see them, but he just kept walking by. Every time we wanted a beer we literally had to call to him as he simply ignored us. At most breweries, they're chopping at the bit to pour you your next beer...not here! It was as if the guy literally didn't want to have to pour beers or something. Don't you want to make money? We really just didn't understand it. Yeah, he was busy, but to walk past our empty glasses over and over and over as we sat at the bar right in front of the taps, we were just dumfounded. We talked about it and concluded that he ignored us because he heard us talking about other breweries in the MB area (for tourists, definitely go to Crooked Hammock Brewing in North Myrtle---awesome food and beers and it's a big place with multiple bars. They have things dialed in there.) to some other out of towners. The food we had was decent, albeit it way overpriced (that's just what you get at breweries nowadays) and the beers tasted fine. Beers are 7 to 10 bucks a pour for typically a pint. Oh, and they don't have wifi, which totally sucks. Can't remember the last time I went to a brewery and they didn't have wifi. I recommend you visit Crooked Hammock in North Myrtle Beach. It's just plain way, way, way better and in a much, much safer part of town.

Stopped in for a bite to eat and they were operating cafe style where you order at the bar and then your food would be delivered to your table. The hubs and I both got the Smash burger. It's made with a mix of ground beef and I think he said bacon. I just remember tasting chopped crispy bacon in it. It wasn't horrible but definitely not a burger I would rush back to have. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the variety of games they have available. I probably wouldn't go back to eat here but would come for beer and games with a group of friends.

Yay. New brewery in Myrtle Beach!

We come back every year. This is always our first stop. Great way to kick off beach trip. Great brews and great food!

Pretty much located in ghetto part of MB. The entire area in scary and i would never go into this area after dark. Service is slow to non-non-existent. Everything is overpriced. Overall go somewhere else.

Great beer and a yummy smash burger and fries. We enjoyed trying my their brew while in town for a short stay.

    Bar area

Food was full of flavor. Kids meals offered. Wide beer selection. Park in the rear and walk around. Grab any seat you want and order food and drinks at the bar. Food came out quickly and hot. Burger was great, chicken sandwich was great. Kids get a popsicle after their meal! Kitchen closes at 7 during the week and doors close at 8. Found it to be VERY clean. Staff were very polite and chatty. $7/8 pints, $12 flights. Wide variety of patrons - families, couples, big groups. Would 100 percent recommend a try here.

Good bar, the ambiance was upbeat and fun, plenty of beer choices, only bar food available, it was pretty good, had the pretzel and they were liked by everyone that tried them, friendly service and the prices were reasonable.

Buffalo trace and their best selling craft beer

This review is based solely on atmosphere, beverages, and staff... solid "A"'s across the board. Cool interior complete with that brewery vide. Bartender super chill, attentive, and very helpful with craft suggestions. My colleague ordered a craft beer and loved it. Not being a craft beer connoisseur myself I don't recall the choice he got however, the bartender did say it was their most popular brand. Sorry bout that. Much to my surprise this establishment carries spirits as well. When asking what Bourbons they carry m, Buffalo trace was on the "menu" so I went ahead and happily ordered one of them. Excellent pour. Thank you.

Fantastic time at this brewery! Such an inviting atmosphere with ample seating inside and out - they have games for kids and adults which is always a nice touch. Awesome beer selection and the bartender suggested a beer that my dad would like (he doesn't like any micro brews) and the Golden Ale fit the bill! He said that a lot of people come in there wanting a miller lite or coors light so they decided to make a beer that would cater to those folks without sacrificing their beer standards! The food was unreal - must get the pretzel bites, fries and huge hot dog! Met one of the owners and he was so kind and educated us on the brewery a bit! Highly recommend!!

Great food and beer selection. The servers are always friendly and talkative. I had the cheesesteak and my wife had the smash burger, both were delicious. It's a nice place with a huge outdoor area.

Came tonight because we had gift certificates but we've been before and we enjoy coming here. It was a Thursday night and it wasn't too busy inside but outside there was a band playing and the city had booth outside showing how they are making Myrtle beach better.. the beer was good and we got food.. I had the smash burger.. it was real good for a bar food!! The staff came outside to serve us at the tables they have. They were very attentive and nice. It was a good night with good beer and good food..

If you're looking for authentic Southern comfort food rather than another seafood buffet, Simply Southern Smokehouse is one of Myrtle Beach's best-known local favorites. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring a wide variety of home-style classics in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. One of its most charming traditions is that the staff periodically break into song, creating a warm, welcoming experience that's uniquely Southern. The buffet changes daily, but during our visit it featured an impressive selection including crispy fried chicken, fried pork chops, pulled pork barbecue, smoked chicken legs, collard greens, green beans, cornbread, banana pudding, soft-serve ice cream, and peach cobbler. The fried chicken was outstanding--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--and the pulled pork was tender and flavorful. Personally, I tend to prefer barbecue with a deeper, smokier profile, so while I enjoyed the pulled pork, this is better described as a traditional Southern buffet than a destination for smoked barbecue. The homemade desserts, especially the peach cobbler, provided the perfect ending to the meal. The value is exceptional, especially considering the variety and quality of the food. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the singing added a fun, memorable touch that made the restaurant feel more like a community gathering than just another buffet. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of complimentary pocket New Testament Bibles available for guests near the entrance. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach and want to experience classic Southern cooking at a reasonable price, Simply Southern Smokehouse is well worth a visit. Come hungry, expect hearty comfort food rather than competition-style barbecue, and you'll likely leave satisfied.

We were promptly seated and drink orders were taken. The waiter reappeared about 15 mins later with drinks and cheese rolls and took the table's order. We settled on the Aspen family meal which consisted of 2 meats and 4 sides. We chose smothered pork tenderloin and fried chicken along with mac 'n cheese, collard greens, fried okra and candied yams. Fried chicken was awesome, crispy, with an assortment of dark and white meat pieces. We were looking for a knife because of the pork tenderloin and realized you don't need it. It was that tender. You could cut it with a fork and it too was awesome. Everyone raved about all the side items except the mac & cheese it was a bit on the bland side so it was not our favorite. There was no need for a refill of any of the food. The first round was very ample sized and everyone left very satisfied. And if I have a bit of feedback, our waiter was not attentive unlike the waitress serving the tables in our same area. He was didn't bother to come back and see if we needed a refill on any of the drinks or the food. The only disappointing thing was they no longer offer you a small sample size dessert to finish up your meal. It's been a while since I've dined here so I'm not sure how long that change has been in place. However, we understand the food industry continues to be impacted by the current economy. Overall, the restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. It's a nice place to feed a large family who hates buffets.

We stood in long lines during their popular years for hours in the morning, just to get a table reservation for dinner later that evening. Crazy as that sounds, it was always fun because we had such great conversations with people from all over the country while waiting. We also enjoyed meals there during the final days when standing in a morning line was no longer necessary. So I can say without any reservation that we would have never returned if the food we had today was being served back then. Paula Deen's fried chicken once upon a time was EPIC. But IMHO, this current offering in comparison is night and day to the deliciousness once served in Savannah. As a matter of fact, we didn't enjoy any of the meats or sides. Our food experience tasted like an entirely different restaurant recipe and to top it off the chicken was overcooked and dry, something we never experienced at Lady & Sons. After sharing our disappointment with management, our bill was cancelled (except for my cocktail) and we left, likely never to return. What a disappointing end to a fabulous food era, because the food at Lady and Son's was one of our families favorite reasons to vacation near Savannah. It was almost always the first meals of our vacation, but the food we were served on this most recent visit to Myrtle Beach they can keep. On a brighter note, the restaurant interior is beautiful and the location is fantastic. The staff were friendly and our server pretty much brought out the entire menu trying to satisfy us. Each bite of each item was so disappointing that I asked him not to bring anything else, but he insisted on finding something, anything redeeming. Unfortunately, nothing he brought out was to our liking, but we did appreciate the effort. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] If you've never been to Lady and Son's, then the food here at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen might be acceptable. But I will forever miss what it used to taste like and the excitement my family had when I announced we would be eating at Lady & Sons! Management said they use the same recipes, but my taste buds heavily disagree.
