Stopped by Drifter's Saloon on a random Wednesday afternoon and man, what a find. Place wasn't packed at all, which was perfect, grabbed a spot at the bar right away. Got the burger and everything came out hot and super fresh, like they actually care about what they're putting out. Fries were crispy, burger was juicy, no complaints at all and the egg was runny. True Score - 4.25 Our go to dive bar when visiting Myrtle. Went here for the first NFL game day of the regular season. We did not realize that this place was a Cleveland Browns hang out before coming here. Thought that was a pretty cool setup, we were Patriots fans here and the crowd was hospitable. Everyone was really nice here - I wasn't sure what to expect. We had drafts on tap and it went down cold and smooth. We also had some shots, very affordable. Ordered some hot wings with Ranch dipping sauce and they were done well. Comes with a side of celery also. We also ordered a couple of sandwich specials from the board. Seems like everything is made to order. Nice place to stop in and catch a game! I have to add in that we gave bern in Myrtle three times recently and always find ourselves coming back to Drifters. I have read such great reviews, but I have to say I was not impressed. I tried the highly reviewed Philly cheesesteak andI was so disappointed. It was nothing other than steak and cheese and a few onions. They had nothing else you could put on it. I think the thing that bothered me the most is that they buckled and dimed for everything. So if you want an extra blue cheese with your chicken tenders, they charged you $.75. read more

When we first entered Drifters we were quite surprised by the noise level. It was extremely loud. They have two pool tables at the front entrance which were in use by rambunctious patrons that were rather rowdy. We met some friends and had a difficult time hearing each other's conversations. Next, we ordered our food and what a pleasant surprise! It was awesome. Our group consisted of 8 people and each and every one of them raved about their food. The stuffed pepper soup was the best I ever had. It was so thick and flavorful just as others were saying about the chili. I had a Philadelphia Cheesesteak which was also over the top with plenty of meat and flavor. Some had salads, chicken wings, and sandwiches. The ambience was typical of a pub, nothing special. I have to rave about the service, Christine was amazing. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable about each item on the menu. I met Laci, the owner in the Myrtle Beach foodies group. She is hosting a Christmas Eve buffet, gift giving with Santa and her Wednesday night Karaoke. I stopped in for a bite and to say hello. Drifters Saloon has a Wednesday night soup which is Shrimp and Corn Chowder with some bread to mop up the soup. Savory, peppery, with each flavor in the soup a highlight in its own. This is the best shrimp and corn chowder I ever had. I then had the wings with a hot garlic parmigiana sauce. The wings were sauced perfectly where only minimum napkin usage is required. Delicious. There is bar food and then you go up a couple of notches and you have Drifters. The owner is from Philly and according to the people I was talking to at the bar, the Philly cheesesteak is the bomb. I heard about this place several months ago on facebook and had been wanting to try it today I finally got the chance to try out the unique menu that have and I loved it we got the cheeseburger egg rolls which were out of this world I also got the mozzarella burger with onion rings everything was delicious. Love, love, love this bar! From the moment you walk in you feel like family and welcome. The bar is always super clean and was decorated so cool over the different holidays! Great place to watch football and the food is always on point! You can't beat the prices & quality. The daily specials make me never want to cook! I just wanted a beer and a shot. I had no idea I was at the place that has the best wings across the board. Literally. I'm not kidding. They are amazing. They have the usual rubs but also specialty ones depending on the day.! I had the jalapeno pineapple and was blown out the front window with how good they were. We stopped into drifters during our time in Myrtle. It was fun! Smoking inside caught us off guard but wasn't a problem. (That's not allowed where we're from so felt like a trip back in time!) Didn't get a chance to really scope out the place. I went here because it was advertised as a smoking bar to watch hockey. Unfortunately, it's only a cigarette smoking bar, not a cigar smoking friendly bar. It's sad they differentiate. But hopefully I will save another cigar smoker the trip. read more

Great little stop on my way back to my hotel room. The beer is cheap and you cannot beat it! The waitress was friendly and I enjoyed conversation about where she was originally from and other Myrtle beach topics. Only reason for 4 stars is because they won't take a CC unless you spend $10 as well as the food extras costing so much. It's a bit pricy to add a piece of bacon on your burger. read more

4.5 stars! I was on vacation in myrtle beach and I had heard about this place being a Cleveland Browns backers bar .. I'm a die hard Browns fan so I had to stop!! It's a nice little hole in the wall place. They have a small menu .. Maybe even complimentary hot dogs but I didn't eat them. Chili cheese fries and nachos were great! Both of my draft beers had stuff floating in them though :( But if you're in the myrtle beach area and you're a Browns fan this should be the only place you watch the game!! They have memorabilia and tshirts to buy ! :) Wish I could've been there tonight to watch the game! read more

The guy who owns this place is golden, nicest man in the world. But the bartender tonight is a total DRUNk! Not a good combination. Asked her 3 times to turn T.V. on, 3 times she forgot, so I called she ran to the phone and I ask her to turn tv on, I think I brought her buz down. We have come to learn service in Myrtle Beach Sucks and they wonder why some businesses don't do well. Go figure. read more

Whenever I go to Myrtle Beach I make sure to visit Drifters. It is your typical locals joint. Good bar food and good drinks. It's always dark and always on the chilly side. They have the Sunday Package during football season. Warning: This is the home of the local Cleveland Browns fan club. So half of the bar will be filled with Browns fans. But they show other games as well. I highly suggest the cheeseburger and fries. There are domestics on draught. Good digital juke box, and solid pool tables. No frills. read more

We have been going down to golf for ten years and walked to Drifter's. The last two years they have ripped us off. Charged us for buckets of beer and double charged a credit card. They do not treat Golfers down there well. It is a local crowd and they just try to rip off the golfers. If you go than keep an eye on your bill and DO NOT pay with a credit card. read more

Two words "not again" the second star is for the cold beer and the attentive waitress. We popped in to catch the end of the hockey game and while we only watched the last 10 minutes, we couldn't wait to get out of there. They are only friendly to locals. I went during off season and still has bad service. The bartender was drunk. When I said something service only got worse. I cant stand this place. They should rename it 'the 2nd hand cancer' bar. The liqour is way over priced and other than Bre, who im not sure still works there, the bartenders are clueless! The food is good but there are too many rules with the menu. Ive been there 50 times & they still ask me my name. I went to play pool once and a group of punks were hogging the tables. When it became an issue the bartender said "well their locals so im on their side". Guess what, im a local too! I wish this place would close and a better local bar open (keep Bre & the cook!).
