We came here on our first visit to our NOW LOCAL Aunt & Uncle. It's got a very awesome Pub vibe with beautiful ceilings. All of wall decor is interesting as well. The variety of alcohol was impressive and their menu was very extensive. Their happy hour specials are pretty good too. Especially the wings. We actually came back the next day since my aunt enjoyed her wings so much! LOL. The second day we had Chris as a bartender and he was exceptional, really great service. My husband and I were staying in the area for a wk, we are local but have never tried this spot. We came into this pub 4x that week! Their smash burger was just that good. And the skinny fries are great and they give you an ample amount. The bartenders were super friendly. Five of us really enjoyed the International. Not going to lie, I was a little afraid when we walked in at 7:30 on a Wednesday and no one was seated. Travis quickly helped us find a table up front with more room for our party. We were looking for a simpler menu after a few days of heavy eating, so the menu looked spot on. All fears were gone when the apps arrived hot and fresh. The spinach artichoke dip and poppers were perfect. The beer choices were just right. Really nice porter and a NEIPA galled Grimes. Both fresh and chilled. The burgers were really flavorful and the pulled pork sandwich was also tasty. The French Dip was a standout with Onion Soup for the dip that was amazing. Both inside and a small outside seating area is available. Ambience is good but is more on the bar side with a row of booths along the wall. You can seat a large party if you get the area in the front. AC was cold and made dinner very comfortable. Prices were good and service was excellent. The menu is huge and has something for everyone. The owners are usually there and really make you feel welcome. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The place is popular with the locals, but we still still feel very comfortable there as snowbirds. The only negative is the fact that you usually must walk through a cloud of smoke to get inside because there are virtually always smokers sitting on the small front patio puffing away. Bacon cheese burger looked good from across the table.... it was gone too fast to snap a picture- a mark of a good burger! With over 40 beers you can take your pick. What a great place! We went there 3 nights and had different waitstaff every night, not a complaint at all. The staff and the food are above average. Don't let the small, sometimes crowded patio scare you off. Walk through the door and enjoy a decent dining room with a great mahogany bar. I ordered the fried chicken: choice of white or dark meat, and two sides. I asked for the dark which was they said was leg and thigh but got a thigh and something which was not a leg; perhaps another thigh? Hard to tell. Batter was nice and crispy but tasted heavy on the salt and not much else. Chicken itself was ok. The fries were below average. Green beans seemed frozen. The wife ordered a Reuben. She was pretty disappointed too: very skimpy on the corned beef and was unbalanced by way too much sauerkraut. It was nice to sit at the sidewalk table and watch the people stroll by - or cruise by in their cute little golf carts as many of them seem to do there. And the waitress was nice and friendly. The international cafe is an awesome little place in North Myrtle Beach. It's funny because when I first went in I thought I was going to see draft beers from all over the world. Well, I did not see draft beers from all over the world and basically saw your standard draft beers. I asked the bartender who is amazingly funny an amazingly friendly and awesome how they call themselves the international cafe when they don't have a lot of international beers on tap. I hear her yell hey Richard to the back room. Outcomes Richard the owner of the bar. She tells him what I said and he goes back in the back and comes out with like five bottles of craft beer he says let's put these on ice for a few minutes and then we'll try them. My wife is drinking wine I had a draft in front of me and after a few minutes Richard came over and started opening one bottle at a time sharing it with me pour me some in my glass pouring him some in his until we finished all five we compared them and I told him what I like the best. He didn't charge me for any of them. They are the most friendly people and it was the most fun little place to go to. I went here during a visit last November 2nd-6th 2012. Me and my boyfriend were hungry for some late night food so we came across this place. We passed it by on a walk earlier and saw they had a happy hour special and missed it. We called around 10pm on a Sunday evening and they said they were open until some extremely late hour serving food. So we were game! We went. He ordered a reuben and I ordered the blackened Chicken Alfredo. It was AMAAZING. As one of my fav Italian dishes it had a good sauce (and seasoning) and I requested the chicken blackened and they had no problem accommodating. The service was great, especially for a bar. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It was really cold when we went and people were outside smoking so there was no smoke inside at all. I am sure if they allow smoking it can get smoky but that night it was not crowded at all. His sandwich was good. They had a full bar and the bartender was really friendly and talkative and made us one of his favorite shots. We ended up buying quite a few. I had a good time and so did my guy so we said that the International Cafe will always have to be a stop for us while we are in Myrtle Beach. Just literally could not get by the god awful stench of smoke...literally as you opened the door....place was empty....but the smell of stale smoke was nauseating. However...I have to commend on a well decorated place...excellent and copious beer choices...extensive menu with value (although not my taste) oriented specials. I have also heard from many folks how good the food is...and how very nice the owner and staff is. I really believe...these places that offer high end products...such as craft beers...would be well served to consider a smoke - free environment.
