We stopped by Calli Bakers Firehouse during Boxerpalooza and sat at the bar expecting at least basic service. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. We made eye contact with both bartenders multiple times while sitting there, and they completely ignored us. Not once did anyone acknowledge us, ask if we needed a drink, or even say they'd be right with us. It wasn't like the bar was slammed either--we were just... invisible. After sitting there long enough realizing we clearly weren't going to be served, we left. Came here on our annual trip to Myrtle beach with a group of 7 and this place took care of us! It's gigantic so they had more than enough space, no wait, and got food and drinks out fast. The staff are all super friendly and the place itself is an awesome firehouse with tons of TVs and sports on. On to the food, we got tons of wings like buffalo, old bay, thai chili and they were all really solid. We also got grouper fish sticks and nachos which were good too but the wings were the better appetizer. The Ribeye steak sandwich was really awesome, a really good piece of meat grilled to a nice medium rare, as i was eating it I asked myself why i even got it as a sandwich because the meat was soo good alone. The fries are also very crispy. They have a nice beer selection but I think blue moons were $8-9 on draft so they added up quick! Would definitely come back again next year! read more

Went here while on vacation for the first time and the place was amazing. The staff were great, Thomas our waiter was amazing! The kid hustled the whole time we were there, drinks were always full, always made sure we had what we needed. The food was amazing, one of the best burgers ive had in along time, cooked perfectly the way I wanted it. My daughter's chicken tenders were amazing! Made me wish I had ordered them. The weight wasn't long. The waitress was nice and accommodating. Our party of six was seated. I had a cheese pizza with mushroom and tomatoes and peppers. The pizza could have used seasoning. The sauce and the veggies could have used any seasoning. I ordered squash and zucchini. It needed seasoning. It was watery mushy veggies. My friend ordered the firecracker burger and he loved it. He said he was thrilled to have burger with 3 different meats on it. My nieces and nephews had hot dogs and fries. It came with a bun and frank. They were able to add any topping they liked. I have a coconut lime margarita, that's was pretty good. Gave off an island vibe. Based on my experience, I don't think it's the best place for me but others may enjoy it. We've been to Calli Bakers a few times and loved each time! The food and drinks are delicious and the staff is very attentive and friendly!

I was not impressed. We were not helped when we arrived and chose to sit at the bar where the bartender waited a while before asking what we wanted. The spring rolls were piping hot when they came out and had decent flavor that wasnt too fishy. However, for $11.50, we thought they were overpriced. The nachos had a mound of iceberg lettuce which was not easy to eat with the chips. I don't think adding the chicken for $6 was worth it so maybe just stick with the basic nachos which themselves are $6.50. There weren't many people there so the overall ambiance was kind of dead. It potentially could be a good place to get a beer and watch a game but a sunday afternoon/evening was definitely a letdown. read more

Ordered two margaritas, the southern hurricane and the rookie to drink. The margaritas were basically watered down limeade, couldn't taste the southern comfort in the southern hurricane and the rookie was decent flavor. They said they only put one shot in the drinks but it tastes like it's not even a full shot. For food we ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with steak, cajun seafood pasta, Santa fe chicken, classic burger and haddock sandwich. They were all cooked well and tasted great. I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews about trying this place. However, I prefer local establishments while traveling instead of chains so I had to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant looks like a small, modern firehouse (if a firehouse had a bar in the middle of the bays instead of trucks). They also have what appears to be a nice outside area with grass, games, a stage, and seating. The hostess was quick to greet us and must have read my mind about seating because she picked the perfect spot. Our server was super nice and took excellent care of us during our visit. The food came in large portions and tasted good. The only complaint was it could have been seasoned a little more. The "BBQ Platter" comes with two boneless chicken breasts, pulled pork, and two sides for just under $20.00; the Philly comes with one side for $14.75 and an additional $0.75 to add mushrooms. If you're staying in the area, looking for a quaint place to eat, or just have a thing for firehouses then check this place out. read more

We did takeout and were impressed by the ambiance so next time will be dine in. Of course by the time we got it home the fries n onion rings were not the best but the burgers were still warm. They had a great char to them and you could discern between medium well and medium rare. The kid menu options were great. We have eaten at Cali Bakers twice on our recent trip to Myrtle Beach: lunch on our arrival day and a midweek breakfast. We cannot say enough good things about the restaurant. It is excellent casual food. We had great sandwiches at lunch (the buns on the sub sandwiches were excellent and the hot dog was enormous). Breakfast was also top notch. We indulged in cinnamon roll style frech toast, pancakes, eggs sausage hashbrowns, and eggs Benedict. All were top notch! Service was friendly, attentive and speedy! Soup was brought out in a Styrofoam bowl and looked like something I got out of a can at home. The other entrees were sparse. I know that presentation isn't the main draw to a place like this, but it does matter. With tip we spent about $90 for lunch for four. It simply isn't worth that and we'll have to skip future visits, which is sad because the place can be fun, but we can't pay that for small portions and food brought out in styrofoam. read more

The Sunday that we were there they had a live band We had the buffalo wings, haddock fish sandwich, fries, sweet potato fries, and chicken strip. The fried haddock was cooked perfectly, well seasoned and nice size. I had that with the sweet potato fries which was also good. We got the wings in honey BBQ sauce, nice size and really good sauce. We were seated right away on a Thursday afternoon around 1230. It was crowded and seemed to be understaffed, the waitresses were running around like crazy we noticed right away. They were all friendly though and acknowledged us and said they would be with us momentarily. The food is why only the 3 stars. The pepperoni pizza was awful, we have had better chef boyardee boxed pizza you can make at home. My mom had the chef salad which was awful. The lunch meat that was used looked and tasted odd. The lettuce was definitely old and wilted and brown throughout. The chicken tender basket was pretty good, ranch very good. The friendly staff and cool atmosphere is the only reason though for the 3 stars rounded up or it would've been lower for the food, for the prices the food needs a lot of work. read more

The white pizza was delicious. The nachos were just mediocre, and the meatball sub was subpar. The homemade meatball sub came with housemaid chips which were pretty good but could use some salt. What a wonderful experience! My daughter and I ate breakfast there this morning and loved everything about it. The food was delicious and the server was personable and informative.
