We stumbled upon the hangout restaurant and we're excited that we did. The hangout does a great job of accepting large groups of people and we had a group of 10+ people. There was a large menu of American style food that multiple people could choose what they wanted. Our server was top-notch and was very receptive and served our table very well. We received our food pretty quick and I was impressed with majority of the food we had. I personally ordered the chicken Poboy sandwich. The Poboy sandwich was cooked well and have a lot of flavor. It also came with a bunch of fries. Again, if you have a large group of people attending, this definitely is the place to go. Midway through our dinner they had live entertainment that celebrated birthdays, and got everyone in our party up and dancing. The only thing I was not a huge fan of was some of the appetizers that we ordered but beyond that it was a pleasurable experience.

A very fun place to HANGOUT! Live music outside, fun dancing and music inside- the food came out fast and service was great. Basic bar food but the atmosphere is one you can't miss.

Unique place with live entertainment inside and outside (interactive stage performances on the hour and live music on the stage outdoors). Food was delicious! Fresh catch of the day with some yummy sides, can't beat that! Service was good as well.

From the moment you walk into this restaurant/shop there is so much to see. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, with a variety of upbeat music playing in the background. We were greeted quickly by our server, Jordan Lee, and he was very helpful, offering suggestions and frequently checking up on us through the meal. We started off with the chips, queso, and salsa and it was a good amount for the four of us. The queso was a big winner, though all of it was good. My husband ordered the sweet and spicy burger which came with a large amount of fries. He said the burger was delicious and would happily order it again. My son ordered the hot buffalo wings and couldn't even finish them all. He said they tasted great. My daughter and I both ordered the Cajun pasta and wow! That was the best Cajun pasta that we have ever had. Needless to say the food was great and our drink cups never made it to being empty, as Jordan did such a great job. We were there for the celebration dance as well and laughed our butts off. If it's your birthday (month) or a celebration, then you get stand on the chairs, and tables, and dance. The Hangout staff also had everyone doing the Macarena and it was hilarious. In addition to the fun inside, they also have a bubble party outside if you want to play. Needless to say, my family highly recommends this restaurant and we will definitely be back. As a side note, if you go upstairs, there is a tube slide that leads down to the first floor.

I ordered a piña colada and it was $11.75. It literally taste like a 7-Eleven piña colada icy with a shot of Malibu in it; definitely not worth the price. They did have cut decor and the bartender was nice.

We stopped in on a weekday for a late lunch so it wasn't busy. Staff was all very attentive and kind! Food and drinks were good. My husband loved the snapper po boy. They had an amazing live band playing we ended up getting bushwackers and enjoying the music for a while! Super fun atmosphere.

Waited 90 minutes to sit outside under a broken ceiling fan. The vibe is fun, great atmosphere, it's an option for sure, however pretty basic at best. 3 stars is fair. The service wasn't the best, we waited around for water and had to ask twice for refills. I ordered the chicken nachos and I guess I expected more. They were kind of plain, no olives, tomatoes, sour cream, quac, etc... you know the basic nacho ingredients. Especially when they're nearly $20. Caesar salad was good.

Myrtle Beach, SC. Sept, 2025. A group of us, 7 adults, had attended a show at the Broadway Theater, and decided to stay in Broadway at the Beach to wander around and eat dinner. Broadway at the Beach is a 350-acre entertainment complex offering shopping, dining, and attractions around a central lake. Our nephew looked on-line at restaurant reviews, and decided upon The Hangout. Food. (4.5/5). Amongst the seven of us, we ordered: (1) Shrimp Po' Boy ($19). Golden fried USA shrimp on a hoagie roll, sliced tomatoes, pickles, and shredded lettuce. Served with French fries and cocktail sauce on the side. (2) Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich ($17). Smoked pulled pork on a brioche bun topped with house-made coleslaw, fried onions, and Alabama sweet BBQ sauce. Served with fries. (3) Low-country Super Shrimp Boil ($39). A full pound of wild-caught shrimp, simmered with sweet corn, red potatoes, and Conecuh sausage, finished with Old Bay garlic butter. (4) Alabama Cobb Salad ($16). Fresh local greens, grilled chicken, bacon, egg, avocado, tomato, cucumber, shredded jack cheddar cheese blend, and served with ranch dressing in the side. (5) Asian Glazed Salmon Filet ($24), served with fluffy rice and seasonal vegetables (broccoli). (6) Chicken Tender Platter ($17). Marinated and brined chicken tenders, hand-battered, fried, and served on a heap of fries. (7) Hang 10 Burger. ($15). Their signature burger (a special blend of fresh (never frozen) 1/2 pound American beef, served on a brioche bun and topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. Served with fries. In general, the food was very tasty, arrived in a reasonable amount of time after ordering, and the quantities were good. In fact, we took some doggie bags home with us. One disappointment was that French fries were the only side dish choice for the burger and sandwich entrees. There are so many other potential options, such as a side salad, coleslaw, onion rings, etc. Service (1/5). We were seated promptly, and our drink orders were taken and delivered. Then, we waited and waited and waited some more. Eventually, my sister-in-law went up to a counter to ask that a waiter come over to take our order. Even with that intervention, we still waited a few more minutes before the waiter came. As the evening evolved, we didn't see too much of the waiter for refills, etc. Ambiance (1/5). This is a gigantic and LOUD restaurant with a lot going on. There was a band playing outside with music being piped into the restaurant. A moderator came "on" periodically to encourage a "party" inside. People were even prodded to dance on their tables! (What could go wrong?) I get it. It's a beach environment, and people are on vacation and want to have a good time. That said, it was the wrong environment for us. Many of us hadn't seen each other for many months, and we needed a quieter place to catch up. It was too noisy in The Hangout to do that. Also, the atmosphere is the restaurant is probably what delayed the waiter from taking our orders, and we were hungry.

This is where the party is at. Family friendly atmosphere with fun for all ages!! There is a live band playing outside and also a host who gets you dancing with fun music and trivia! The service is top tier and the drinks are great! I got the blue shark in a souvenir cup that is hitting very nice. Our server Emme was awesome at taking care of a large group. I ordered the Wagyu Burger with a fried egg and bacon. It did not stand a chance as I devoured every bit of it. The fries were nice and crispy with a nice seasonings. We also got 1/2 pound of peel shrimp with potatoes and corn. Hands down southern home cooking and great entertainment. What more can you ask for? Check out their gift shop too!

We would have hung out inside the hangout if there were not so many children inside. There were parent/children combos dancing in chairs and tables directed by someone hosting on a stage. The outside vibes were fun. There was live music and people dancing and sitting listening/watching the live performance.

Place is a complete vibe no shortage of fun or energy here. Staff was like a smooth operation to watch with all the people they didn't miss a beat steadily taking care of everyone. Food was ok but only got something to snack on and a drink.

And it did not disappoint. The crab legs were the highlight--always stocked, served warm, and cooked really well. I tried a few other items that were just okay, nothing super standout, but for a buffet the quality of the crab legs alone made it worth it. We waited about 20 minutes in line to be seated, which wasn't bad, but just a heads up--there wasn't really anywhere to sit while waiting, so that could be a bit tough for anyone who needs accommodations. The desserts were also pretty good, and the place itself is huge. I loved the design details--everything has a nautical/boat theme, even the buffet stations and tables, which made it feel unique compared to other buffets. Service was great. We just had water, but staff constantly came around refilling drinks, clearing plates, and taking away crab leg shells, which made the whole experience smooth. Oh, I didn't even mention the homemade rosemary and herb crackers along with homemade pimento cheese they bring to your table. I could make a meal on just that. By the time dessert rolled around, we were stuffed, but we grabbed what we thought was a slice of Key Lime Pie to take with us for later.
