Pretty loud, but unique experience. A bit disappointed with shrimp po boy, absolutely no sauce, weird. Mai tai was good, but pricey.

The hangout was a quick spot just to wait and burn some time. I had a drink the atmosphere was really cute. It lives up to everything that is posted on TikTok and on Instagram. It is a nice cute family spot. The music does get a little loud every hour, but the show that they provide it's literally like 15 minutes if it's that long, I'll recommend anyone that is going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with children to go to the hangout.

A high energy spot, with singing, dancing, a slide, trivia, and foam parties for the kids at 4 min past each hour. The lifeguard burger ($24) is good, and works well to share between two people, and the $5 bushwhacker (alcoholic or not) they offer along with it is yummy as a dessert. The waitress was willing to bring extra plates for sharing food when we asked. Burgers are supposed to be cooked to your preferred temperature, but two of our party ended up with overcooked meat, despite requesting pink. Outdoor seating works well if you'd prefer quieter dining. It would be nice if the foam party was shown on the indoor screen for the sake of grandparents who don't make the trek out to it.

First time at the Hangout and it was so much fun! This place is geared towards larger parties. I was able to make an online reservation for 9 people and they gave us a buzzer when we arrived for check in. There's a gift shop, live music and lots to do and see while you wait. It took about 30 minutes for our table to get ready and we were led upstairs. People were dancing on the tables and the music was fun and loud. Service was good and the place is huge! Kids got to dance and run around before our food arrived which was really good. Kids portions were great - we ordered chicken tenders, chicken sandwich, burger and shrimp and grits. The real show stealer was the fries! They were soooo good! Skinny, crispy and delicious. Our party had a great time and the food was good!

Nice little spot for the kids on vacation. Food and drinks are overpriced but guess that's part of the experience. ($27 for some pasta w shrimp added)

A very fun place to HANGOUT! Live music outside, fun dancing and music inside- the food came out fast and service was great. Basic bar food but the atmosphere is one you can't miss.

We stumbled upon the hangout restaurant and we're excited that we did. The hangout does a great job of accepting large groups of people and we had a group of 10+ people. There was a large menu of American style food that multiple people could choose what they wanted. Our server was top-notch and was very receptive and served our table very well. We received our food pretty quick and I was impressed with majority of the food we had. I personally ordered the chicken Poboy sandwich. The Poboy sandwich was cooked well and have a lot of flavor. It also came with a bunch of fries. Again, if you have a large group of people attending, this definitely is the place to go. Midway through our dinner they had live entertainment that celebrated birthdays, and got everyone in our party up and dancing. The only thing I was not a huge fan of was some of the appetizers that we ordered but beyond that it was a pleasurable experience.

Unique place with live entertainment inside and outside (interactive stage performances on the hour and live music on the stage outdoors). Food was delicious! Fresh catch of the day with some yummy sides, can't beat that! Service was good as well.

I ordered a piña colada and it was $11.75. It literally taste like a 7-Eleven piña colada icy with a shot of Malibu in it; definitely not worth the price. They did have cut decor and the bartender was nice.

From the moment you walk into this restaurant/shop there is so much to see. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, with a variety of upbeat music playing in the background. We were greeted quickly by our server, Jordan Lee, and he was very helpful, offering suggestions and frequently checking up on us through the meal. We started off with the chips, queso, and salsa and it was a good amount for the four of us. The queso was a big winner, though all of it was good. My husband ordered the sweet and spicy burger which came with a large amount of fries. He said the burger was delicious and would happily order it again. My son ordered the hot buffalo wings and couldn't even finish them all. He said they tasted great. My daughter and I both ordered the Cajun pasta and wow! That was the best Cajun pasta that we have ever had. Needless to say the food was great and our drink cups never made it to being empty, as Jordan did such a great job. We were there for the celebration dance as well and laughed our butts off. If it's your birthday (month) or a celebration, then you get stand on the chairs, and tables, and dance. The Hangout staff also had everyone doing the Macarena and it was hilarious. In addition to the fun inside, they also have a bubble party outside if you want to play. Needless to say, my family highly recommends this restaurant and we will definitely be back. As a side note, if you go upstairs, there is a tube slide that leads down to the first floor.

Waited 90 minutes to sit outside under a broken ceiling fan. The vibe is fun, great atmosphere, it's an option for sure, however pretty basic at best. 3 stars is fair. The service wasn't the best, we waited around for water and had to ask twice for refills. I ordered the chicken nachos and I guess I expected more. They were kind of plain, no olives, tomatoes, sour cream, quac, etc... you know the basic nacho ingredients. Especially when they're nearly $20. Caesar salad was good.

If you need a drink refill, you need to go up to that. We went for steamed crabs only, but the rest of the food looks amazing. People I was with have eaten there before and raved about how fresh and delicious everything in the menu was. This trip was steamed crabs only. We ordered #1's for $48/dozen. We also ordered sodas. They do have beer to go with the crabs too! Didn't wait long. They were good. However, I don't think they were #1 level. At the most maybe mediums. We had several that were paper thin and no meat. They were full. Very watery and not seasoned nearly enough. We weren't expecting Maryland style crabs as we are in South Carolina, but weee hopeful they would be steamed and seasoned a little more. They do need those little food fans on the tables as the flies were annoying (we sat inside). Had to put napkins on top of our cups. The service here is lovely! Just super friendly and welcoming. Shoutout to Justin?? Might have been Nick - ugh, can't remember. Young kid, dark hair. They were so busy, and they were for sure stretched thin. He did his best and even checked on us once while also bussing tables, taking orders, sweeping, delivering food, etc. Was debating between a 3 or 4, but realized that shouldn't hold them responsible for replicating a different style of steaming crabs and seasoning them. The service and atmosphere were great. Their food in general is delicious,

I was a bit skeptical because we passed it a few times on our way to different places in town, and from the outside you couldn't tell that it served upscale cuisine. But it had great reviews so we took a chance. Ambience: The inside was dimly lit with an old school feel. Reminds you of an old school New York establishment from the 80's. I liked it. It had a welcoming feel and I noticed there were at least two regulars the staff greeted. Food: We ordered an appetizer of calamari and the short ribs. Additionally, I was going to get the salmon but they had a special of red snapper with lump crabmeat, green beans and rice. The food was delicious. The calamari was one of the best I have ever tasted. The addition of the fried peppers complimented the dish well. They were nicely fried and seasoned. Very light crust which I love. Sadly I didn't get a chance to taste the short ribs because I was just too enthralled in my dish. The snapper was perfection! Everything on the plate paired well together. Also, if you're not going for an alcoholic beverage, their freshly squeezed lemonade is so refreshing. Service: I'm truly bad about remembering names and as is my usual, I don't recall the name of the waitress, but she was truly attentive and nice. She was also knowledgeable about the food and patient. Truthfully, all the waitstaff seemed genuinely kind towards the patrons, which was nice. If I am ever in the Myrtle Beach area again I will definitely be going back. Loved it!
