Saw a few "bad words" about the entrance to this establishment and said, let's go see how bad it really is....parking is tight here but I found a free spot to park right outside the hotel in which S&L is located. Gorgeous walkway to the restaurant. Other people have said it looks like a storage area...FALSE!!! Now u have a choice: inside dining or outside with view of the ocean! We sat outside and Sidney took care of us. Lovely girl with a great personality. Let's start with Margaritas!!! My wife's came in a plastic rocks glass and mine arrived in a plastic martini glass. (Not what I'm used to getting at a Mexican joint). I understand the plastic since we are outside but why not the big margarita glasses I'm used too? Anyway, fajitas had a great presentation and tasted delicious. Wife had the shredded chicken burrito and ate half and got full. The guacamole is NOT made table side but it's made fresh in the kitchen. The salsa for the chips was a bit thin but had excellent flavor! Outside dining in attached by a gate to the hotel which provides access for hotel guests. If you like looking at other people swimming it's a great spot. My one issue was the martini glass for my margarita. Very disappointed thus the minus one start. LOVED SYNDEY!!!

Comfortable bright ambiance - varied seating arrangements depending on your group from the bar to high tops, booths and regular tables. Nice views of the beach and water. Settled behind the hotel, plenty of parking. Food experience based on happy hour menu: loaded nachos - 4/5 - can't go wrong with cheesy, bean, avo and salsa toppings. it's so loaded that some parts of soggy pulled chicken sliders - 2/5 would not get again. best part was the hot honey topping. what would make it better it is if the pulled chicken was piping hot and the buns are toasted. there's a decent amount of moisture from the chicken that makes the bottom bun soggy and loses the structure and integrity of the slider. 5/5 fried fish was very delicious, crispy cornmeal breading, and light. honey mustard dipping sauce was a good pairing. 4/5 mango habanero wings - solid wings

Alison was AMAZING! She made our experience the greatest it could have been! Highly recommend the "night in tulum" and "the dunes" drinks absolutely phenomenal. Everything about this experience was top tier.

We were skeptical already with places to eat in Myrtle Beach because even if they say it's 5 stars, it ends up disappointing us! So we really did not set any expectations for this one. We opted to seat outside because their indoor dining was blasting the AC on 50 degrees for some reason. Outside dining was gorgeous and we were surprised that there's not much flies around! Holy moly! It started it out with a free chips and salsa. Then I ordered the calamari and it was honestly one of the best I've had. The breading stays beautifully on the squid and the sauce was a beautiful balance of creamy, tart, salty and slight sweetness to it. I already know that's the appetizer and the chips was filling me up, so my husband and I opted to share an island grouper. The grouper was perfectly seasoned and cook, the pineapple salsa was an amazing compliment and the rice was so yummy. It was just a party of fresh flavor in our mouth! The service was also very attentive! We are very happy with our experience here!

Was in town for work and this place was recommended by a coworker. Went for lunch and sat outside with great views of the beach. The nachos were so good that I came back again when I was in town and got the same nachos. The empanadas were also good- I would recommend getting as an appetizer and sharing. Service was great, friendly staff.

We had a nice brunch with bloody mary's. We enjoyed ourselves. The place is bright and airy and the servers were pleasant.

This is the finest I've ever had in the state of South Carolina! My cousin from Florida also loves to eat sushi. He said it was the best sushi he's ever had anywhere! We were in town one Saturday night in June for a concert and wanted to try the local sushi. I asked Reddit for some good options and Koi was the winner. The setting was dark and quiet, which we enjoyed. Our server was excellent and helped me get my sushi just the way I wanted it (minimal/light rice). It did not take long for our rolls to come. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was out-of-this-world. So fresh and delicious. I didn't even have to use wasabi, which I usually have to use to offset the fishiness of some rolls. I didn't have to use much soy sauce either. I ordered the Mount Fuji Roll, the Kung Fu Roll and a spicy tuna roll, while my cousin ordered a Geisha Roll and a spicy tuna. The food, the service and the ambiance all made for such a wonderful time, that I am torn between going back again or just remembering it for its perfection! Be sure to bring cash since they do charge a credit card fee. They also have clean bathrooms and ample parking. It was totally worth the two-hour drive. Sure wish they'd open a Koi down here!

You will see that everyone has several inches between their backs and the back of the seat. Perhaps some pillows would help solve this issue but the restaurant has none available. The sushi was hit and miss. We likes what was good but we found some of the tuna to be fishy. We left 25% of our food over because it was unpleasant. Service was great and the decor is beautiful. Unfortunately, we'll look elsewhere next time we crave sushi.

I highly recommend the beet salad, and the evening special was bifteki, which was fantastic. The Greek potatoes were absolutely amazing as well--honestly, there wasn't a bad thing on the menu. They also have a great selection of wines to go perfectly with the food. This is definitely more of a fine-dining experience, but it is well worth checking out when you're in the mood for authentic Greek cuisine. Great food, lovely atmosphere, and an all-around brilliant evening. We will definitely be back. Three thumbs up and five stars from us!

In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.
