Our table was outside, nice breeze and fun music! (Paul was the musician) Our server was great, she allowed us the extra time to settle in and enjoy our drink before we ordered food. One from our group ordered quesadillas, she enjoyed them a lot. We also had guacamole and the boiled shrimp. The shrimp was such a generous portion, it came out warm, and not on any ice, which was surprising to us. It was too hot to peel when served and so we had to let it sit for a bit. It was very good, the flavor was great however, there were a few of them that were getting mushy towards the end. If I ordered this again, I would ask them to plop them on some ice. The guacamole and chips were fantastic. The reason I took off a star was because the happy hour menu was only offered in the bar. The bar had a large private party that night and therefore wasn't really available for us. I think if you're going to have a happy hour, it's kind of ridiculous not to extend it out to all the tables. I typically don't go to restaurants that only offer it in the bar. read more

I went hoping for some grouper. When I arrived, it took a while to get service. The waiter did show up, but took a while and when the bill arrived we were starting to leave and had the bill with me as he never came back, but finally met him at the front. I did end up ordering the chicken and waffles, it was OK, but have had better in many other places. What was frustrating is they would not do the grouper as it was too early in the day. So between the lack of service, mediocre food and lack of grouper, just can't recommend this place. read more

In all the years we have been to Myrtle Beach, we had never heard of Salt & Lime. Thanks to an excellent server at another restaurant, when we asked him where he went to eat, he mentioned S&L first. We're so glad he did. First of all, the place is right on the beach so the views cannot be beat. It was a lovely evening when we went, so we chose to sit outside. No regrets. Our server Tanner was great! Of all things to get at a Mexican establishment, I got the Poke Bowl, and it may very well be one of the best I have ever had. Hubs ordered the Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas and was very pleased with his choice. The food was great. The ambiance was great. The drinks were great. This is definitely going on our list for establishments to frequent the next time we're in town. We think you should check it out, too! read more

Right on the ocean & they had a great band for happy hour (which is only served at the bar & the high top tables) We had the grouper bites which were yum, the steak bites super tender but the chicken nachos literally had no flavor (we had to add salt and pepper) despite adding extra jalapeños. There is so much room for improvement in the flavor of their food & the time it takes for service. We stopped in to see if we would stay for the whole happy hour and ended up cashing out and going else where. I would then just for a drink, views & the happy hour band though. Make sure you don't try to come here without regular clothes they will ask you to get dressed because the floor can get slippery. read more

Saw a few "bad words" about the entrance to this establishment and said, let's go see how bad it really is....parking is tight here but I found a free spot to park right outside the hotel in which S&L is located. Gorgeous walkway to the restaurant. Other people have said it looks like a storage area...FALSE!!! Now u have a choice: inside dining or outside with view of the ocean! We sat outside and Sidney took care of us. Lovely girl with a great personality. Let's start with Margaritas!!! My wife's came in a plastic rocks glass and mine arrived in a plastic martini glass. (Not what I'm used to getting at a Mexican joint). I understand the plastic since we are outside but why not the big margarita glasses I'm used too? Anyway, fajitas had a great presentation and tasted delicious. Wife had the shredded chicken burrito and ate half and got full. The guacamole is NOT made table side but it's made fresh in the kitchen. The salsa for the chips was a bit thin but had excellent flavor! Outside dining in attached by a gate to the hotel which provides access for hotel guests. If you like looking at other people swimming it's a great spot. Settled behind the hotel, plenty of parking. Food experience based on happy hour menu: loaded nachos - 4/5 - can't go wrong with cheesy, bean, avo and salsa toppings. it's so loaded that some parts of soggy pulled chicken sliders - 2/5 would not get again. best part was the hot honey topping. what would make it better it is if the pulled chicken was piping hot and the buns are toasted. there's a decent amount of moisture from the chicken that makes the bottom bun soggy and loses the structure and integrity of the slider. 5/5 fried fish was very delicious, crispy cornmeal breading, and light. honey mustard dipping sauce was a good pairing. 4/5 mango habanero wings - solid wings read more

Salt & Lime has a lot going for it right from the start--once you finally find the entrance. The approach is awkward and confusing, tucked away enough that you begin to wonder if you've accidentally wandered into the maintenance area instead of a restaurant. Once inside, though, the place is genuinely attractive. The dining room is bright, clean-looking, and modern, with a relaxed coastal style. The outdoor patio and beach view are the real stars. Sitting outside looking toward the ocean is exactly why people come to a place like this. The food was mostly good. The chips were thin and crisp, the guacamole fresh and homemade, and the salsa was simple but tasty. The chili lime bowls were fresh and flavorful, and the beach bowl and surf-and-turf salad were both very good. The kids' burger special with two little sliders and fries was a smart idea and worked perfectly. The margaritas were also good. The Salt & Lime margarita and the Flaca "skinny" margarita were both enjoyed by everyone at the table. Our server, Pierre, was excellent--friendly, attentive, and easygoing. And despite the name, no, he is not French. Unfortunately, the restroom was a real problem. The dining room looked polished, but the restroom was visibly dirty, with grime and stains around the fixtures and toilet. Fair or not, that always makes people wonder how careful the kitchen is as well. A restaurant can spend a fortune on light fixtures and ocean views, but if the restroom is neglected, people notice. Overall, Salt & Lime has a beautiful setting, good food, good drinks, and a terrific server, but the restroom and awkward entrance keep it from being a place I could fully recommend without hesitation. read more

We opted to seat outside because their indoor dining was blasting the AC on 50 degrees for some reason. Outside dining was gorgeous and we were surprised that there's not much flies around! Holy moly! It started it out with a free chips and salsa. Then I ordered the calamari and it was honestly one of the best I've had. The breading stays beautifully on the squid and the sauce was a beautiful balance of creamy, tart, salty and slight sweetness to it. I already know that's the appetizer and the chips was filling me up, so my husband and I opted to share an island grouper. The grouper was perfectly seasoned and cook, the pineapple salsa was an amazing compliment and the rice was so yummy. It was just a party of fresh flavor in our mouth! We had 9 guests for lunch. They ignored us when we tried to flag them down for help. They were argumentative about fixing several cold food plates served to our guest, ignored us when asked for refills on beverages, and it was a disappointing lunch for all these guests. We left sad and disappointed to way they talked to us. What could improve? If food is coming, alert your table, then look around and ask if you can provide refills, keep eyes open when customers are flagging arms to get your attention, our server veered 12 feet away to avoid contact to refill glass of water. Treat people politely and don't argue when trying to get help. read more

Among the worst dining out experiences of my life. The weather was gorgeous, and we sat outside to enjoy the oceanfront location. Unfortunately, the recorded and later live music was so loud we could barely hear one another, much less the surf. We waited several minutes after being seated before even being offered water. The appetizer (queso with ground beef) was cold; when we requested it be warmed, our server brought us more queso...also cold. Of our four entrees, two were cold and one was missing ingredients. The manager suggested we have some drinks as a solution to our poor experience before finally offering a discount--but then not sharing that with our server, who brought a check for the full amount, which we obviously sent back. (Also, our server seemed to have never received any sort of training and although friendly couldn't manage to do much.) Aaaand all this took nearly two hours. Just don't go here. read more

Honestly, one of the worst meals I've had in Myrtle Beach. The steak fajitas came out cold, tough, and flavorless. The side of rice was also cold. The calamari had good flavor, but was also tough. The waitress got offended when we told her we didn't need the drink specials, cause we don't drink. When it's time to pay, they hold the machine over you, and just look away as they ask you to put in your tip amount (maybe I'm weird, but give me a paper receipt, and I'll fill it out accordingly. I don't need you standing over me.) They have a great view, and outdoor seating area. Maybe a good spot for happy hour, but the food was terrible. read more

Everything was excellent! Super friendly servers, lovely room and view, and fabulous food. My husband and I shared two appetizers and the crispy whole snapper and were happy and full at the end. The apps were the plantains and the mini chimis (chicken and beef). So good! But the whole snapper was the star of the show. I have been looking for mini chimis for 3 years and they had them on the menu. Wife got the Cali bowl, which had some good flavors but for $15 could've used another scoop of rice and black beans. My so called mini chimis wasn't what I was thinking. In the past I've had actually miniture chumichanga, a small roll of fried goodness. What they serve is a chimi just cut in half. I guess they mean less filling? Anyway I asked Pierre for a side if hot sauce and he gave me the birri hot sauce and that was an amazing addition.
