In my mind, I never put Myrtle Beach & bourbon bar together--I'm thrilled though for the mastermind that did! I randomly found Neat while looking for places to make a friend's work turned birthday trip interesting & memorable--and Neat absolutely fit the bill. Centrally located. Beautiful interior--from the Eat Sleep Bourbon sign to the well-appointed bar boasting over 320 bourbon options. Craft cocktail selection is on point. I tried several that I loved yet my favorite is the Razzle Dazzle--a splendid mix of bourbon, strawberries, lemon, & rhubarb bitters. Aficionados rejoice & novices pull up to learn more--hopefully Neat is here to stay! Pro Tip: 50% off all martinis on Thursday/Ladies' Night. Cheers!

Our new favorite bar in Myrtle Beach! We had such a fun time at their wine tasting event . They have an excellent selection of bourbon, whiskey, and great cocktails! Highly recommend stopping by to check them out .

Hannah was fantastic! We ordered the New Fashioned, Neat Selection Manhattan, and Prohibition Old Fashioned. They were all perfect. Right glassware, right garnishes, and right preparation. Time permitting we will be back.

Starting off I am not a Bourbon drinker but my partner is. This is a nice place Ordered food shrimp cocktail, big pretzel, and a plate of turkey sliders. All the food was great. Service was a bit slow but ok. I had beer bottles only nice and cold. My partner had an old fashion she said was great. I thought the vibe of this place was very nice , the wall behind the bar was loaded with spirits. Will i go back you bet. Great happy hour.

My wife and I have been coming to Myrtle Beach for years, and every time we drive past JEM I always…read moresay, "We have to try that place sometime." The parking lot is usually full, which always felt like a good sign. Well... after years of saying "maybe next time," we finally stopped in -- and we're glad we did. We were in town for a few days doing some work at our place and decided to try something new for dinner. I checked Yelp beforehand to see if they had a happy hour menu, and they did -- and it looked good. We arrived around 5:00 pm. There were only a few cars in the lot at that time, and the building (which used to be a Pizza Hut) is easy to spot. When we walked in, we were told to sit wherever we liked, so we headed straight to the bar. The bartender greeted us right away, gave us menus and waters, and made us feel welcome. Since it was our first visit, we had a lot of questions about the menu. The food seemed like a fusion of Asian and Korean flavors, and we weren't very familiar with it. She was fantastic patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. She even mentioned their Date Night special, which turned out to be a great deal. She made my wife an iced tea that was different than the usual but very good, and I had an Old Fashioned that was excellent. We decided on the Date Night Special, which is a prix fixe menu for two for $45. It includes one starter to share, a selection of small plates, each person choosing their own main from a list of six (two with a small upcharge), and a dessert to share. For our starter, we chose the Scallion Pancakes. They aren't really pancakes in the traditional sense -- more like a thinner batter that's deep-fried and served with two sauces. Both sauces were excellent, and the appetizer was a great way to start the meal. For our mains, my wife ordered the Bibimbap with chicken, and I had the Korean Fried Chicken (+$3). When they set the plates down in front of us, I looked at my wife and said, this looks really good -- why haven't we stopped here before? Her dish came in a shallow bowl with cucumbers in a sauce, thinly shaved carrots, kimchi, rice topped with an egg, and a piece of fried chicken with sauce. Mine came with coleslaw, fresh-cut French fries, and two chicken breasts covered in the same flavorful sauce. The chicken on both dishes was the same, and that sauce was outstanding. My first bite was literally, "Why have we passed this place so many times?" My wife loved everything on her plate, and I enjoyed every bite of mine as well. Our dessert, the Apple Crumble, came out before we were completely finished with our meals. This was really the only thing that could have been handled a little differently. Even though we didn't eat it right away, it was still good we just felt a bit rushed trying to finish our food so the dessert wouldn't get cold and the ice cream wouldn't melt. Overall, we found a new top-5 restaurant to eat at when we're in town. To top it all off, while sitting at the bar we were talking with a waiter named Logan. He asked where we were from and mentioned he had family there. It turned out he's a cousin of a friend who grew up with our son and was actually in our son's wedding. Just a few weeks earlier, they were all in Myrtle Beach for a bachelor party for his cousin. Small world! Don't be like us driving past for years and saying "maybe next time." Just stop in and give it a try. The food is wonderful, the service was great, and we will definitely be back.

The…read moreapproach is awkward and confusing, tucked away enough that you begin to wonder if you've accidentally wandered into the maintenance area instead of a restaurant. Once inside, though, the place is genuinely attractive. The dining room is bright, clean-looking, and modern, with a relaxed coastal style. The outdoor patio and beach view are the real stars. Sitting outside looking toward the ocean is exactly why people come to a place like this. The food was mostly good. The chips were thin and crisp, the guacamole fresh and homemade, and the salsa was simple but tasty. The chili lime bowls were fresh and flavorful, and the beach bowl and surf-and-turf salad were both very good. The kids' burger special with two little sliders and fries was a smart idea and worked perfectly. The margaritas were also good. The Salt & Lime margarita and the Flaca "skinny" margarita were both enjoyed by everyone at the table. Our server, Pierre, was excellent--friendly, attentive, and easygoing. And despite the name, no, he is not French. Unfortunately, the restroom was a real problem. The dining room looked polished, but the restroom was visibly dirty, with grime and stains around the fixtures and toilet. Fair or not, that always makes people wonder how careful the kitchen is as well. A restaurant can spend a fortune on light fixtures and ocean views, but if the restroom is neglected, people notice. Overall, Salt & Lime has a beautiful setting, good food, good drinks, and a terrific server, but the restroom and awkward entrance keep it from being a place I could fully recommend without hesitation.

This is the finest I've ever had in the state of South Carolina! My cousin from Florida also loves to eat sushi. He said it was the best sushi he's ever had anywhere! We were in town one Saturday night in June for a concert and wanted to try the local sushi. I asked Reddit for some good options and Koi was the winner. The setting was dark and quiet, which we enjoyed. Our server was excellent and helped me get my sushi just the way I wanted it (minimal/light rice). It did not take long for our rolls to come. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was out-of-this-world. So fresh and delicious. I didn't even have to use wasabi, which I usually have to use to offset the fishiness of some rolls. I didn't have to use much soy sauce either. I ordered the Mount Fuji Roll, the Kung Fu Roll and a spicy tuna roll, while my cousin ordered a Geisha Roll and a spicy tuna. The food, the service and the ambiance all made for such a wonderful time, that I am torn between going back again or just remembering it for its perfection! Be sure to bring cash since they do charge a credit card fee. They also have clean bathrooms and ample parking. It was totally worth the two-hour drive. Sure wish they'd open a Koi down here!

You will see that everyone has several inches between their backs and the back of the seat. Perhaps some pillows would help solve this issue but the restaurant has none available. The sushi was hit and miss. We likes what was good but we found some of the tuna to be fishy. We left 25% of our food over because it was unpleasant. Service was great and the decor is beautiful. Unfortunately, we'll look elsewhere next time we crave sushi.

I highly recommend the beet salad, and the evening special was bifteki, which was fantastic. The Greek potatoes were absolutely amazing as well--honestly, there wasn't a bad thing on the menu. They also have a great selection of wines to go perfectly with the food. This is definitely more of a fine-dining experience, but it is well worth checking out when you're in the mood for authentic Greek cuisine. In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.
