Our new favorite bar in Myrtle Beach! We had such a fun time at their wine tasting event . They have an excellent selection of bourbon, whiskey, and great cocktails! Highly recommend stopping by to check them out .

Hannah was fantastic! We ordered the New Fashioned, Neat Selection Manhattan, and Prohibition Old Fashioned. They were all perfect. Right glassware, right garnishes, and right preparation. Time permitting we will be back.

Starting off I am not a Bourbon drinker but my partner is. This is a nice place Ordered food shrimp cocktail, big pretzel, and a plate of turkey sliders. All the food was great. Service was a bit slow but ok. I had beer bottles only nice and cold. My partner had an old fashion she said was great. I thought the vibe of this place was very nice , the wall behind the bar was loaded with spirits. Will i go back you bet. Great happy hour.

I lived in Athens and Voula, Greece for more than 3 years and when I say this is authentic cuisine I absolutely mean it is authentic. And the wine list and service are both superb!

In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.

This guy is on another level. From the moment we sat down, Nick's energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He wasn't just taking our order -- he was curating an experience. Now let's talk about the Cacio e Pepe -- insanely good doesn't even begin to cover it. It was perfectly executed: silky, bold, with just the right bite of pepper. Classic done right. But you know what made it taste even better? Nick. He recommended it with such confidence and enthusiasm that we had to order it, and he absolutely delivered. Nick was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and just an all-around fantastic human being. He made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish -- checking in at exactly the right moments, offering spot-on suggestions, and keeping the whole experience flowing effortlessly. If you go to Portofino, you absolutely should ask for Nick by name. He is the kind of server that reminds you why going out to dinner is supposed to be a special occasion. We will 100% be back, and Nick is a big reason why. Portofino, you have a gem on your staff. Treat him well!

We each picked a couple items, and at first I was skeptical about how well such a mixed menu would come together. That skepticism didn't last long. What's impressive is how they manage to cover different cuisines and still execute them well. The shishito peppers came perfectly grilled and paired with an amazing sauce that really elevated them beyond a typical appetizer. The meatballs felt like something straight out of a family kitchen comforting, rich, and reminiscent of grandma-style cooking. The shrimp scampi was another standout: flavorful, well-balanced, and not overdone with butter or garlic. But the real highlight of the night was the pistachio espresso martini so smooth, creative, and easily one of the most memorable cocktails on the menu. Overall, it's a great spot for sharing plates and trying a little bit of everything. It turns what could feel like a scattered menu into a fun, consistently solid dining experience.

Myrtle Beach has been needing a true lounge like this, and Bin 2004 absolutely delivered. The decor and ambiance were stunning, intimate, and stylish without feeling pretentious. The food was just as impressive. We had the charcuterie board, papas bravas, meatballs with whipped ricotta, sliders, Oreo cheesecake, and tiramisu. Every single dish was a hit, and the presentation was just as amazing as the taste. The wine menu is massive, and the cocktails were incredible. The pistachio martini was a standout and a must-try. Our server, Laurie, truly made the night. She gave the best recommendations, was incredibly attentive, and made great conversation. Top-tier service all around! Overall, an unforgettable experience. The batter was not as good as we were expecting, and it was rather on bland and tasteless side. It worked ok for the oyster and shrimp since they have a little taste themselves, but didn't do well for the scallops and clams (we didn't finish the clams). The fries were ok and not the best we have had either. The crab stuffed mushrooms were just ok. The best thing was definitely the clam chowder and coleslaw. Staff was friendly and attentive, and dine in area nice. Overall, we had a ok experience but definitely not worth the price we paid.

Craving She Crab Soup? This spot will hit the mark--just not quite the top spot…read more I came here specifically for the she crab soup. It's good--a solid version with generous chunks of crab and a comforting flavor profile. While it wasn't served piping hot initially, the staff was amazing when I asked to warm it up a bit more--they even topped it off with extra soup. That kind of service deserves a shout-out! What held it back from being the best in the area for me? Personal preference. I like a thicker, creamier base with a bit more sherry and bold crab seasoning. This one was just a little lighter in those aspects. Still, if you're jonesing for she crab soup and need a fix, this place works! Add in the full bar and a small but solid tap selection (5 beers), and it's worth a visit--especially if you're nearby. #NewEnglandFishHouse #SheCrabSoupFix #SeafoodStop #CrabLovers #SoupSeason #ComfortFoodCravings #FoodieReview #OysterBarVibes #SolidBite #ServiceMatters #WorthATry #SupportLocalEats

My wife and I have been coming to Myrtle Beach for years, and every time we drive past JEM I always…read moresay, "We have to try that place sometime." The parking lot is usually full, which always felt like a good sign. Well... after years of saying "maybe next time," we finally stopped in -- and we're glad we did. We were in town for a few days doing some work at our place and decided to try something new for dinner. I checked Yelp beforehand to see if they had a happy hour menu, and they did -- and it looked good. We arrived around 5:00 pm. There were only a few cars in the lot at that time, and the building (which used to be a Pizza Hut) is easy to spot. When we walked in, we were told to sit wherever we liked, so we headed straight to the bar. The bartender greeted us right away, gave us menus and waters, and made us feel welcome. Since it was our first visit, we had a lot of questions about the menu. The food seemed like a fusion of Asian and Korean flavors, and we weren't very familiar with it. She was fantastic patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. She even mentioned their Date Night special, which turned out to be a great deal. She made my wife an iced tea that was different than the usual but very good, and I had an Old Fashioned that was excellent. We decided on the Date Night Special, which is a prix fixe menu for two for $45. It includes one starter to share, a selection of small plates, each person choosing their own main from a list of six (two with a small upcharge), and a dessert to share. For our starter, we chose the Scallion Pancakes. They aren't really pancakes in the traditional sense -- more like a thinner batter that's deep-fried and served with two sauces. Both sauces were excellent, and the appetizer was a great way to start the meal. For our mains, my wife ordered the Bibimbap with chicken, and I had the Korean Fried Chicken (+$3). When they set the plates down in front of us, I looked at my wife and said, this looks really good -- why haven't we stopped here before? Her dish came in a shallow bowl with cucumbers in a sauce, thinly shaved carrots, kimchi, rice topped with an egg, and a piece of fried chicken with sauce. Mine came with coleslaw, fresh-cut French fries, and two chicken breasts covered in the same flavorful sauce. The chicken on both dishes was the same, and that sauce was outstanding. My first bite was literally, "Why have we passed this place so many times?" My wife loved everything on her plate, and I enjoyed every bite of mine as well. Our dessert, the Apple Crumble, came out before we were completely finished with our meals. This was really the only thing that could have been handled a little differently. Even though we didn't eat it right away, it was still good we just felt a bit rushed trying to finish our food so the dessert wouldn't get cold and the ice cream wouldn't melt. Overall, we found a new top-5 restaurant to eat at when we're in town. To top it all off, while sitting at the bar we were talking with a waiter named Logan. He asked where we were from and mentioned he had family there. It turned out he's a cousin of a friend who grew up with our son and was actually in our son's wedding. Just a few weeks earlier, they were all in Myrtle Beach for a bachelor party for his cousin. Small world! Don't be like us driving past for years and saying "maybe next time." Just stop in and give it a try. The food is wonderful, the service was great, and we will definitely be back.
