Great location, great View and great staff! We were here on vacation and some friends took us to this new place. It overlooks the ocean and it's right on the pier. We had the infamous Italian Stallion charcuterie and a glass of wine. A charcuterie was enough for all four of us to share and we didn't even need to have dinner after. Great wine list also. Try it out if you're in the area.

Came here after a lovely day on the beach. Lovely ambiance, great service, super selection of plates and wine. Full bar too. Desserts. Omg. Fantastic. My go to for Surfside has now become The Whistling Duck.

I cannot say enough great things about this cute & cozy spot! The ocean views are phenomenal, on top of the great service & amazing food! We ordered drinks (cheesecake sour & limoncello spritz), tomato bisque & the choose any 3 bruschetta. 10/10 and I can't wait to come back!

Whistling Duck is a welcome alternative to all the large seafood oriented restaurants in this area. We are from California and we love wine and small plates and this place did not disappoint. The bruschettas (pick 3 of 5 - great to be able to try a few) and the artichokes with lemon aioli were fantastic. We also had a nice arugula salad. We almost ordered the southern oriented charcuterie - but we couldn't eat any more. We were able to view it and it was huge - would easily serve 3-4 people. The wine list was nice. A little bit pricey but worth it for the pairing with the food and the view, with the restaurant sitting right on the Surfside pier. We also enjoyed the ambience of a smaller quieter place after having sat through a raucous dinner at one of the Murrell's Inlet bit restaurants. The staff we attentive and the head of the kitchen even came out and chatted with us for awhile. We strongly recommend this place for a peaceful and delicious change of pace.

So excited that this spot is finally open! We enjoyed the sunset, delicious food and wine. Also our service was excellent! Only comment is that is a bit warm inside I hope they can work out their AC system issue.

    Sharable bruschetta (pick 3)

2/26- this quaint gem is located right on the pier. Restaurant has great views all around. Wonderful staff, efficient, and on point! Food was delish!! Sandwiches are sharable, great wine selection @ $13-$19/glass. Outdoor bathrooms are clean and nearby.

The bar was double packed, a few bar tables were open but really no room to walk anywhere once you've made it inside. It took a solid handful of minutes to get some beers ordered, but they were cold and cheap so can't complain! I love a good dive bar, and maybe the vibe would have been better if we were able to sit at the bar, but it was insanely loud and everyone seemed to know each other, prompting me to finish it up and go along in search of somewhere slightly more chill!

A true dive bar with some of the funniest karaoke you'll ever experience. The clientele like to drink shots and they will pull you in to have them with you. The bartenders are wonderful, funny, and will throw a shot back with you too. This is a small place that hasn't been updated. Weirdly the bathrooms are updated. This is the best dive bar in all of Myrtle (North, Main, Seaside, Murrells). It's not really close. Always so much fun. Remember, you have to enjoy dive bars, funky clientele, and shots. Love THE BAR!!! Thanks

They were gone in about two minutes between the 3 of us, not because of the quantity, but because they were so good. They were not overly spicy in case that's a worry. They have a full gluten free menu. The kids menu also includes seafood which I appreciate for my seafood loving crew. I ordered the Fry Basket with Shrimp and Oysters. My mom ordered the same but also had flounder with it. My son ordered a Caesar salad with a side of fried flounder. Everyone was very impressed with the amount and quality of the food. I honestly didn't take great pictures because we were too busy eating! It was a very busy day the day we were there bc of the Kentucky derby party but we were still seated quickly and our food came out fairly quickly. They take a lot of precautions when dealing with allergies and it was appreciated. They even identify that it is gluten free when they deliver the food as well. I can't wait to return and try the short rib macaroni and cheese. The ambiance is booths and tables around a bar. They also have a great outdoor space due kids to run around and play.
