I had the Traditional Eggs Benedict which was very good. The accompanying home fries were probably the best I ever had-cooked & seasoned perfectly. What a treat! I was met and seated by a very personable server (Amber) who described the specialties of the establishment and the "specials of the day." They all seemed palatable, but I had come for the shrimp and grits and asked how they were. She said that they were very good but the dish is unique from place to place. The service was generally good with the server checking on us from time to time. The menu has the standard breakfast item but also some unique offerings. My wife had her typical breakfast. Scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage, home fries, and an English muffin. She said it was pretty good. I decided on the Athenian Omelette which has feta cheese, green peppers, tomatoes and onions. I also had grits and rye toast. The omelette was good but not very fluffy. The grits were fantastic. They had the perfect consistency. The toast was somewhat light. Tartar sauce was good which is such a rare thing. Only thing we didn't care for and should've skipped is the clam strips. (Seemed frozen and mostly crust) Also, would be helpful if servers would let you know there is an upcharge when you request substitution or something like an extra pickle.
