from the moment, but I walked in. I like the way it looked. Very quaint with the vintage vibe. Then I was greeted and see it quickly. that French toast was so very good. Even though it is very large, it did not over stuff. I ate one and took the other home. The price was reasonable, and it is so good when you can make more than two meals from one order. I have since returned, and I felt consistency. This time I had their corned hash Benedict. This time I forgot to take a picture. I will have that dish again, so there will be an opportunity later. We stopped by here to grab a late brunch. The staff were very friendly. We got seated at a booth and the food came quite quickly. We got a Crab Cake Benedict and a Breakfast Skillet. Called in a to-go order. Arrived at the restaurant 10 min later and paid. Then sat for 55 minutes with zero interaction from any waitstaff. Watched several tables get sat, order, eat and leave all while I just sT idle. At the 60 minute mark, I had the waitress CXL the order and refund. Never even got a "sorry about that". We are definitely breakfast folks and love small, local diners. I'm actually not sure if Early Riser Diner is a chain, but if they are they are just like a small local place. The service is excellent and they were COVID compliant when we were there for breakfast. I had Beef Hash and Eggs over easy with grits. My wife had scrambled eggs, sausage links and home fries. I can't say enough about the hash. It was obviously homemade and had that fantastic, slightly sour taste. It was perfect. The grits were typical but good and if you have fresh eggs that are cooked correctly (which these were), it's hard to screw them up. My wife enjoyed her breakfast as well. This is going to be our go to breakfast spot in Myrtle Beach when we are there. read more
