This was the most disappointing breakfast food I've had in a while. Giving it 2 stars because it was at least edible, except for the grits. The grits were literally the worst grits I've ever had in my life - watery, flavorless, and congealed like jello. Classic eggs Benedict was fine & best thing i had but that's not saying much and the griddle blueberry muffin tasted like an off brand little Debbie's muffin. Nice and cozy breakfast/brunch spot near Myrtle Beach that serves up some mean scrambles and omelets. The service was great and location is close to lots of fun and entertainment. I ordered a chorizo scramble and got a large flour tortilla on the side to enjoy it properly. I mean, how could I not flex my Mexican heritage roots by foregoing the fork and using a tortilla to enjoy this scramble. It was a good size portion and only thing I did not like was the seasoning on it overpowering the savory, salty chorizo. We also got an omelette and some hot cakes. It's my boyfriend and I's first time visiting Eggs Up Grill in Myrtle Beach, SC. We were looking to grab a bite to eat before hitting the road back to our hometown in Maryland. After doing some research, we ended up choosing Eggs Up Grill after seeing the good reviews. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was nice and the woman at the front who greeted and seated us was very sweet. It was then that we were introduced to "Catherine H" (or so it said on the receipt). The initial greeting was very personable and friendly, so we were off to a good start. Towards the end of the first interaction is where things start taking a turn. When asked if we would like anything to drink, my boyfriend politely asks for a water, to which he was given a blank stare in response. She then asks me if I want a water as well, to which I respond, "Yes, please." She says nothing and walks away. My boyfriend later ended up ordering a coffee as well. Catherine brought it to the table without saying a word and spilled some on the table and the seat my boyfriend was sitting on (with no apology). We look at each other in confusion when she returns with a rag to clean up only the spill on the seat. My boyfriend thanks her and receives an "Mhm" as a response. Our food comes out and my boyfriend notices that they had brought out the wrong food. He lets Catherine know he ordered something different and she stands there with a blank look on her face before taking out her tablet and looking over the order. She realizes my boyfriend was correct and she takes the plate, passes him the salad, and says, "You can keep the salad", since that part of the order was correct. In total she checked in on us once and the last interaction we had with her was her bringing out the check (without us asking for it) as I'm still eating, saying there was no rush and asking if there was anything else we needed. Maybe things are done differently around here, but I'm used to being asked if anything else is needed BEFORE the check is brought out. Overall, the whole experience felt very rushed and insincere. The service could definitely use some help and the food wasn't anything to rave about. Needless to say, we will definitely not be returning. read more

Loved my Greek scrambler, It was so fresh and light. They have a great menu selection and recommend it! They have outdoor seating, which is great if you have a dog, but they also let my small Havanese puppy inside with her in her carrying bag. I went to Eggs Up Grill because it was close to our condo and boy was this a great choice! Got seated immediately and I ordered the three little deuces (pancake platter) and these pancakes are the REAL DEAL! Homemade batter, fluffy and just plain delicious! It took forever to get our bill, and when the waitress was shown the hair, she said it was disgusting! She did take the home fries off of the bill. Our server was quietly patient with our slow decision making (ok, really just my indecisiveness) as I finally placed an order of Founder's Hash Benedict. I also ended up ordering a cafe mocha, which the server claimed to be the least sweet of the coffee options. The corned beef hash definitely made the Hash Benedict more unique. It's a little heavy but flavors were on point. The coffee was a little sweet and creamy for me (definitely not a strong coffee) but it was yummy and comforting.
