Their restaurant is very nicely appointed kinda like a Ski Lodge without snow and the fireplace (it's Myrtle Beach, yo) big, open, and inviting. Our Server Riley was personable, and polite. Our food was out fast, that's right, hot food! The Waffle with a side of bacon was "perfect" with a flavor fantastic, cinnamon forward taste and not too sweet but well balanced, I mean you can always get sugar rush from the syrup but you don't need it. The texture was soft and pliable. The side of bacon was again "perfectly cooked", and three big pieces, so yes Granny, you can save a piece and a half in your purse for your BLT at lunch. Their California Benedict, was "superb", with a terrific taste. Yes, you health freaks can go to Johnny's and keep you figure in tack, while you enjoy the feel of your meal. Then, last but not least, I got the Crab Beast, Benedict. Their portions on all of our meals were generous, but you will really get to feast, on the Crab Beast. I tried the spicy Remoulade sauce which Riley suggested that I put on the side and she was spot on. Thanks Riley! As I lightly tried it on one half of my Crab Beast Benedict, and for me the taste was harsh and just did not blend. However, that is my tastebud sensitivity. I also asked for the old bay on top of the hollandaise because I wanted to taste my poached egg, and that deliciously enthralling crab cake. Yea man, I am definitely a fan, because "it was a so nice", I ate it twice. While I realise that breakfast for some of us is break fast, a pop tart, or cinnamon roll and coffee. To me it sets the tone and tenner for my day. So if you want that pep in your (yea, the coffee for me, could be a little stronger but is good) step, and a song in your heart, than Johnny Dee's be the place when you want to filla ya face! Enjoy!

It's in the location that was formerly Waterway Golf parking lot and sits right on the Intercostal Waterway. The menu is extensive and we had top tier service with Yanna who is from Honduras. I had the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, it was outstanding! It had some unusual spice and seasoning that 'kicked it up' a bit. The coffee was so good! The order came within a reasonable time and was exactly what we'd ordered. Pancakes were light and fluffy serve with warm syrup on the side. Bacon was perfectly crispy not burnt. The omelette was massive, stuffed with vegetables, mushrooms, diced ham and cheese. We had enough for leftovers, half the omelette, 1 pancake. As a 24\-year special education teacher and the sister of a brother with cerebral palsy, this experience was especially painful and disturbing to me\. We have eaten there many times, but after what happened today, we will not be returning\. I overheard a grown man and two grown women laughing about the "short bus" and making fun of children with disabilities, including children who wear helmets and hit their heads\. At one point, the child with them, who appeared to be around 10 years old, fell onto the floor and pretended to have a seizure while the adults were laughing\. What made this especially disturbing was that a young adult with cerebral palsy was sitting with his family approximately 10 feet away\. He was in a wheelchair, and his family was helping feed him\. I initially asked to move tables because I didn't want to listen to it anymore\. While we were moving, I asked our waitress if the man making the comments worked there\. She told me he was the owner\. He was wearing the restaurant shirt and was on duty\. I decided to tell him how I felt\. After we moved, he came over again, apologized, and said he has a "big mouth" and needs to watch what he says in public\. He then offered to pay for our lunch\. I declined\. I wanted to pay for our own meal\. I wasn't looking for a free meal--I wanted him to understand why his behavior was unacceptable\. Our waitress was very nice, and this is not about her\. I am sharing this because I believe people deserve to know what I personally witnessed when deciding where they spend their money\. An apology is appreciated, but disability should never be something adults teach children to laugh at\. People with disabilities deserve dignity and respect whether they're sitting ten feet away or nowhere in sight\. As a special education teacher and someone who had a brother with cerebral palsy, I know firsthand that people with disabilities and their families deserve compassion, respect, and inclusion--not ridicule\. Not to mention what a miracle my sweet Sam is\. Sam and I will be choosing another restaurant from now on\.

They have other buffet days (I think Sundays too-check schedule) There is a bar attached and you can eat at either the bar or restaurant side.
