The service was good . There are some friendly people you will find here. However, the food was kinda meh . From what I had, the bacon was dry, and even though my waffle had a cute smiley face on it, done with whipped cream, it had too much strawberry sauce on it, which made my waffle soggy. (I was actually expecting fresh strawberries rather than strawberry sauce, but it's my fault for not reading "Strawberry Topping" ‍). In terms of the interior I give it a 3/10. The first indication that I should've followed up on was that the restaurant was empty when we came in. The restaurant is quite dated, but was clean. However, since we were already there, we decided to eat the waitress was very friendly, and the service was quick and prompt. I enjoyed my Belgium waffle although it was quite crispy. My friend got the biscuits and gravy, and it was edible. My other friend got pancakes, bacon and eggs. After taking two bites of the pancakes, she did not enjoy the taste at all. Y'all can't tell me that with the probable kickback y'all are getting from the tow company (better watch those signs if you aren't eating here--and you will be eyeballed to make sure you are), that you can't afford a creamer bowl that doesn't look like a rat gnawed on it. I'll help you. Dollar General has NEW PLASTIC BOWLS that aren't chewed on. I asked for hot sauce and I received a Texas Pete bottle with a shattered cap that had I not checked, would have doused my omelette with 50,000+ Scoville units of hot sauce. Is Atlantis just tired and worn out? Or do they feel like that being across the ocean gives a special license to be cheap and unpleasant? The owner sits behind the register like a toad waiting for someone to park in his lot that God forbid isn't a customer. He keeps an ancient accounting ledger stuffed with all kinds of papers next to him. I can imagine how crafty he must feel, rubbing his hands together, as he totes up the savings of not replacing decrepit crockery and maintaining a decor that must have seemed fusty back in 1977--not to mention the savings of not having an iPad to do some of this stuff. Again, one cart full of stuff at Dollar General would solve a lot of the decor issues. Anyway, my bacon and cheese omelette and grits were passable for just a regular breakfast and after I told my server to refill my coffee cup every single time she passed by without me having to ask/beg for more coffee, I felt better. She refilled me on the fly at least 3 times and I didn't have to stress about that, and I could concentrate. Syrup and butter come in those plastic containers. That's cost efficient and all but the waffle was dry and I needed more syrup and butter. And I defy you to open up a container of syrup and not get it all the way up your arm to your elbow. Cute little place with a diner feel & with some original menu ideas like, pork chops & eggs or a zucchini omelet. The breakfast was good, but a little pricey. Everything seemed to have an up charge. Hash browns instead of grits...up charge. Cheese in your omelet...up charge. Rye toast....upcharge. A cup of coffee was $3.20. Super nice staff! This is officially the first restaurant at which we've "dined in" in months. Nobody was dining here, except for one other table, and we sat very far away. The waitress wore her mask PROPERLY, and, out of respect, we did the same whenever she approached the table. Our omelets and grits were good. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad. Excellent coffee. My boyfriend & I walked to this restaurant for breakfast while visiting family at the beach. We quickly wished we would have driven to a different restaurant in the area. I can comfortably say the coffee we were served was some of the worst I've ever had. As any coffee lover will tell you, this is a truly terrible way to start the day. I wasn't upset when our waitress did not offer any refills. Our food (scramble eggs, omelet, bacon, & toast) was fine... until we received the bill. $39 for two simple breakfasts & two cups of terrible coffee. I assume that total was correct, hard to be sure when looking at a handwritten bill with circled dollar amounts all over it. Ended our meal with someone splashing water all over my back when tossing dirty dishes into a plastic bin. We were then cashed out by a child who was maybe 9-10 years old. As a general manager of a restaurant myself, I support small business. Here are my thoughts: the restaurant was very slow , only a few tables, over staffed during the time we went with a bus person , a cook (wearing a basketball jersey) with an apron I might add, 3 or 4 servers and possibly the owner/manager. Our server was mostly attentive, seated immediately (again it was dead), food came out very fast, food was pretty good. Pricing was a tad high, although it's right across the street from the ocean so you'd expect it to be a little higher.To the staff: as a general manager myself , I would be appalled and most likely hire anyone who applied if you have nothing better to do than sip coffee at a table, and roll silverware while shooting the breeze. Maybe I need to say that because the owner can't or won't, they shouldn't have too. Help advertise, do something to help, if you get more customers , you'll make more money too. Just sayin. Find something to do, clean, something. Obviously the owner/manager tolerates it because there's a help wanted sign in the window, otherwise I'd fire all of you if I were that person. The food quality is good, so maybe if your slow, advertise, your in a great location it seems, improve your customer service , it's not horrible, it was decent, and your not a huge company, I'm worried you won't last much longer unless you do something , anything to improve sales. Take advantage of social media, myrtle beach guide, offer discounts to drive sales,. Overall it was just "ok" , find something to get customers in there, maybe this will help by putting your employees on notice because it needs to be said, it's noticeable they don't really care. Just my opinion. Hopefully it's not as dead like that all the time and what I noticed doesn't always happen. To the owner: everyone is replaceable, remember that. Shake things up or your business will die a slow death. If the foods good, the service is good, which it technically was, find the customers! People will choose a small business with overly polite employees, pay a higher price, over a big company. read more

I asked her a simple question what type of soft drinks do you guys and she rolled her eyes and said "coke products" umm it's your job to explain to your customers which type of drinks you have not just come products. This place is just ok in my opinion, I did not think anything about it was special. The coffee was ok the Greek omelets was fine, and the grits were way to much butter in them. I finished 1/3 of my omelette and a few bites of grits. Everyone at the table had some of their breakfast but no one finishing anything. The waitress was nice but we were the only table most of the time we were there. The biscuits and gravy were not a table favorite. The bacon and the sausage links were good. The Belgium waffle was ok. When we paid at the counter up front we noticed a sign, it said they only allow cash tips.
