Quaint lil place and a pit stop before Myrtle Beach. A perfect sized and yummy chicken quesadilla hit the proverbial spot! Very good, as well as Joey's chicken salad sandwich. Only ding ... the bathroom. No t.p. left and a bit dirty . However, I was Queen of the Throne lol! read more

While I didn't get to experience the restaurant itself I was able to get a coworker to pick me up a cup of their shrimp bisque. I've heard wonderful things from locals about this place and wasn't disappointed at all. Bits of corn, bacon (lord the bacon was good in this), and lil ole shrimpies. My coworker said it was a little spicy for her but I didn't notice it too much. It did have a surprising touch of sweetness to it. Wasn't what I expected, but a pleasant surprise instead! Would definitely get this again in the future preferably with a sandwich next time! Wait time was a bit extensive at 25 minutes for just two cups of this. But I also think they've been having staffing issues so if that's the case, some things are uncontrollable. read more

We stumbled upon this little place by accident, and it was the best thing ever! The food was great, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy and homey. We have lived in the area for 6 months, and have been looking for a place like this, but places around here seem to close way early, or they just weren't what we hoped for. Doesn't look that great. But boy oh boy, the food is excellent. Service is ok. Again, small restaurant so there aren't a lot of servers. We had 3 people in our party, food came out pretty fast, everyone was satisfied with the food and portion size. The bill came and it was $55.00 with the drinks. read more

The food was awful. We asked for the mahi basket but instead were served the mahi dinner. The mahi was thin and overcooked. They put some crushed pineapple on top of it. Two sides. Fried veggies...5 pieces of over fried squash. Burnt and greasy onion rings. Some bread toasted on one side. Price...30.00. Never again. read more

we went here for lunch on our road trip from myrtle beach to virginia and stopped here on a whim, the place was quiet and empty which was shocking for how amazing the food was. service was quick and easy and the food looked and tasted amazing. recommend this place for families who want a quick bite that is not a part of a fast food chain or restaurant. the stop was well worth it read more

First off the food was very good. Enjoyed everything we had. now the problems. restaurant was full of flies. the waitress was using a flyswatter while people ate. I had a view of the kitchen. three cooks with no gloves picking up handful of lettuce to use in salads. this same cook was using two cellphones with those same hands. phones were then put on the prep table. during all this the tickets were backing up. they seemed more interested in eating and drinking for themselves. I believe the health dept does not allow you to have any open drinks or eat in the kitchen. get new help and this could be a nice little gem. waitress was great trying to keep up. read more

The food is yummy, but they skimp on the ingredients. The restaurant itself is DIRTY. Someone needs to clean the floor and especially the ceiling and the fan filters, YUKKY, I don't think it's been cleaned since they first opened their doors! Been a customer for years. Fairly priced menu, as well as specials here and there. It is tucked away so easy to overlook, but it is a great place to stop. Best sweet tea and Joey is very nice. A small place, which feels homey. Almost always busy. Variety of foods on the menu from salads and steak to seafood and sandwiches. read more

We used to eat here quite a lot. Always noticed the owner cooking, and the waitress is always as sweet as can be, and very helpful, very good! Went for lunch last week, was nothing but disappointed! Have an hour break, and the service was so slow we could not eat our lunch. I did notice that the owner was not in the kitchen, but two people who looked lost in what they were doing. I used to really love eating here, but will support other business in Loris for now! Hope they get back to speed! read more

Friends came to visit from CT.....we just moved from there ourselves & we went there for lunch! The special on Friday was superb! Very tasty and plenty of it! The waitress was very helpful & we met the owner and he gave us a little history of this restaurant and town! I cannot wait to go back & try other items on the menu.......they were busy, but we were treated nicely and quickly! If I could give more stars, I would~! read more

We had previously enjoyed eating here but won't be returning after tonight. We entered the restaurant, which had many other guests dining, and as my granddaughter sat in the booth the waitress held her hands up rudely stating, "No! No!" and that they were closed repeatedly. The restaurant was nearly full with dining guests looking up at us from their plates in response to the waitress. This was at 8:15pm and their advertised hours everywhere, including the door, are 11am--9pm. After we left, I called to inquire about the hours and if they had changed and was told by the man that answered that they had not changed their hours. He went on about COVID and running out of food. I asked when did they close and he responded between 8:30-9:00pm, it depends, and that every place is like that now with COVID. The place was full of people eating. This wasn't because of COVID or a shortage of food. It was rude and unprofessional. Take your money elsewhere. read more

Back Street has great food but it is hidden away on a side street so if you don't know it's there you will miss it, which would be a shame. The food is good and they have daily specials. The shrimp bisque and fried fish and shrimp plate are two of my favorites. The owner comes and checks on you and runs the kitchen. Their shrimp salad is great too. Prices are reasonably but seating can be a problem because it's a small restaurant and so many people love it. Hopefully they will move to a bigger place so they can accommodate the number of people that love this place. read more

This restaurant is GREAT! We ordered a pork chop plate and a fried chicken salad, both were great! I thought the plates were going to be small, but the plates were huge! The pork chop platter filled two people up and we didn't even touch the salad and were so full we had to put the salad into a takeout plate and take it with us! I love this little place to eat. The food is great and so is the service. My favorite is the grilled shrimp salad and my husband says they have the best burgers he ever had in SC. The decor needs to be updated but the prices are low. I guess that is the trade off. read more

My sister and my mom are from out of town. We went there for dinner last night. We arrived at 7:00 or a little later. We went in set down at a table. A lady came over and said sorry but we are closed. We have a party coming in, some are here already. Now people were still getting there food and they didn't close until 9:00 pm. So I said we have to leave and she said yes. Here is my point. If you are having a party PUT A SIGN ON THE DOOR. CLOSED DUE TO A PRIVATE PARTY. No she just came over and said we had to leave. Very rude of the business, especially when the place was still serving customers and was not closed. read more

Great food, selection, service and prices. Downside--the decor. Very boring. I come here at least 2 times a week for lunch. Miss Peggy very much. Hope she is doing better soon. read more
