Well gosh dern, this place is slap your mama good!! Yes, I am writing this review after one of the amazing mimosas I ordered here so it is champagne charged but with alcohol comes honesty. This place is AMAZING. From the vibe in the older renovated cottage, to the quaint seating, and the old school price is right playing on the tv at the bar, I was in love just walking in. The food, my gosh THE FOOD. I ordered the brioche French toast with fried chicken and blueberries sauce and it is the best bite of food I've had in years. Sweet, salty, sugary, crispy, soft....all in one. All I can say is order it! My husband's quiche was also delicious but I only got one bite before he devoured it. The cornbread and biscuits are also house-made! The afore mentioned mimosas was the perfect blend of a lot of champagne and little orange juice, like they should be! If you're looking for a cool brunch, with unique options, come here! I did make reservations and I recommend if you want to sit inside as the seating area is smaller. Also shout out to John for the awesome service!

Everything about this place is great. My husband and I consider ourselves "foodies." We are also seasoned travelers and when it comes to food we have high standards. We loved the cottage ambiance and our server, Daniel, was extremely attentive and really authentic is his service to us. Nothing fake about him and he genuinely cared about our experience. The shrimp and grits were amazing and my husband's steak omelette had tender chunks of steak inside. Our food came out very quick also. At Daniel's suggestion, we rounded up our brunch with dessert -- a homemade banana bread with ice cream cream on top, served piping hot. Yum!! We will be back and bring others.

Adorable vintage house turned bar/restaurant. We didn't have reservations, but we were warmly greeted and accommodated with two seats at the bar. Daniel was friendly and knowledgeable, plus made a delicious Bloody Mary. The food was well prepared. We will definitely return.

Made this one our last hoorah meal headed home from our vacation at cherry grove and I did not expect it to be the best meal we ate while here for the week. I consider myself a food snob, most things I try I know I can just make better myself as a chef or I can find somewhere else for cheaper etc but this is one that I'll def be giving credit for and telling others about . I read a review praising the French toast and fried chicken so I gave it a try and I'm so glad I did, I cleaned my plate which is rare for me, my husband got the blueberry pancakes and he cleaned his plate too, our son got the kids portion of pancakes and bacon (they don't have that on the menu but our server told us about that which was super helpful, half the portion half the price) and he almost finished it which is saying something for him, the service was fantastic as well, from our server bringing out a dish of fruit for our son to keep him happy while he waited for food to our coffee cups never going cold with refills . the detail was something I noticed , chilled tin of cream for coffee, the chocolate syrup swirled on the cup of my sons chocolate milk etc . I also wanna mention that during my whole trip there were very few places we felt at ease in as two dads, with myself being alternative as well, haha but I didn't feel gawked at - at all here , me and my husband both felt very comfortable, this has become a new tradition for us when we are in the area, to come get brunch

Great service and even better food! The Bloody Mary was excellent, perfectly balanced, and a standout drink I'd definitely order again.

Cute little place, food and service were good. Only downside is small, we ate outside and the flies were insane. Next time would get to- go.

It was okay - the granola was really good but the yogurt was very sour, and the berries were a little sour too because they weren't ripe. I also ordered a side of toast and sausage links. The toast was good (I mean how can you really mess up toast?) but I do wish they offer to add butter to it so the butter has time to melt when it's warm. I don't expect that but it is a nice touch when restaurants do it! The sausage was actually really good though and was probably my favorite part of breakfast. I really wasn't sure if I should give this place 3 or 4 stars but unfortunately the service was pretty bad so I settled on 3 stars. Our server didn't refill our drinks which is unfortunate, especially because drinks have gotten pretty expensive lately. Our check was also brought out before we were finished eating. I still had half of my meal left over so I thought it was weird. I had also wanted to get coffee to go but that didn't happen since our check was brought out. Overall, the food was just okay and the service didn't make our experience any better.

This Thursday I was heading up with the wife to buy some fish and we decided to go for it. Of course there was zero parking with a parade of cars in the parking lot waiting to pick up food, when my wife noticed a pick up truck right in front of the place about to exit. She sped right next to the spot and jumped in before anyone realized it. We're in...or so I thought. We strolled up and there were about 35 people sitting on benches and rocking chairs under a tent right in front of the place all waiting to get in. I figured this is not going to be easy. I went up to the hostess station and asked how long for a table for two and she said 35 minutes or so. I looked at my wife and gave her my name. I had to find out what all the hub bub was about. In about 30 minutes they shouted my name and I sprinted to the front door...I wasn't about to lose my table. In we went and we're shown a nice size table in the middle of the place. It kinda reminded me of a beachy mom and pop diner. The friendly waitress came to the table right away, gave us our menus, showed us the specials board and took a drink order. The menu was simple but had some choices on it. While we were thinking, she came back with our drinks and we quickly ordered an appetizer. In this case, onion rings. A few minutes later my wife settled on a crab cake app and a salad which she asked to be combined. I went for the soup of the day(NE clam chowder) and one of the specials...pork chops(I took my grilled not fried) with 3 sides, Lima beans, okra & tomatoes stewed and green beans. The meal came with a choice of cornbread or roll. I opted for the cornbread. In a flash, the onion rings came out followed by the soup. Now I do love me some onion rings and these were fantastic. Crispy, flavorful and not stringy. The soup was home made. Creamy with bits of clam and chunks of potato. No salt or pepper was needed as it came out steaming hot and perfect. It was a meal in itself and I ended up taking 3/4 home with me(something rarely do). After a few minutes, the main course came out. My wife dug into a very large homemade crab cake, chock full of crab meat and very flavorful. She loved it. The salad was fresh and crisp. My pork chops came out and the size of the plate shocked me. Now, I almost never talk about price but my plate was $12.49 and I got two large perfectly prepared, juicy pork chops with a healthy helping of the best okra and stewed tomatoes I ever had plus absolutely delicious green beans and tasty lima beans. What a deal! The only thing that wasn't above average was the corn bread which was a tad dry and plain. Most of the regulars opted for the home made roll(and the fried chicken which was being served at every table!). I was stuffed and had trouble finishing my plate. My wife who said she was full, managed to save enough room for dessert. Now everyone was eating the homemade peach cobbler so I suggested that. My wife never had it before and was thinking about the Oreo pie, but I persuaded her and she was glad I did. Instead of the usual whip cream she wanted vanilla ice cream with it and it was a fantastic combo. The cobbler came out piping hot and crumbly with sweet chunks of peaches that paired well with the cold vanilla ice cream. She attacked it so fast that I couldn't get a picture. I broke my own rules and dipped in for a few spoonfuls and I'm glad I did. It was heavenly. The bill came and I couldn't believe how reasonable it was. Now I know why you can't get into the joint. We paid our bill and gave the super friendly waitress a nice tip and were on our way. We will absolutely be back and will try to time it a bit better so we can find parking...or we'll take an Uber...it was that good.
