This place was good considering it is at a resort on the beach on the east coast. To me that means not the best. Five stars for service and attention. These people were great. Hated paying to park. But the server and host were awesome. The crab legs were ok about a three on a five scale. Just not flavorful or loaded The tomatoe bisque was flavorful and the fish and chips were great the fish was light and tasty. The slaw was a train wreck. Whoever thought to make it savory instead of sweet missed the mark. The flavors of the slaw clashed with the rest of the plate. The fish was tasty and the chips were seasoned well and plentiful. From the moment we walked in the restaurant and Jake welcomed us. We knew we were in for a treat. Jake set us at an oceanfront window. There was also live music the evening we were there which was just lovely. Steven, our server shared the evening specials and was very attentive to us throughout our meal. Our table enjoyed delicious margaritas, the Autumn Power salad - fresh spinach, dried cranberries, fresh apple slices, and a refreshing dressing. The crab legs were delicious, two clumps with butter and lemons. We also had the shrimp and fries- 8 large shrimp lightly breaded with shoestring fries. Our land lover enjoyed the Reel burger- a juicy combination of chuck and brisket cooked to order. The bun was toasted and held up well to the burger. Overall the experience was very enjoyable. Reel is located inside the Hampton Inn and Suites in Myrtle Beach and while I'm not usually fond of hotel restaurants, this one was quite good. It's well decorated and it was quiet when we came but it is December so it's definitely not tourist season. Our bartender was a fantastic guy and made a mean drink and fun conversation. Although we came for a few drinks, we ended up getting some dinner as well. The food isn't anything fancy but is was surprisingly tasty. I had the Heat Burger and wow was it flavorful. My only problem was the bun. It was stale and fell apart while I was eating the burger. Still good though. We also had the Margarita Flatbread which was also flavorful. Loved the texture and the fresh ingredients. Definitely worth checking this place out even if you're not staying at the Hampton. read more

My mom and I were looking for a place to grave a drink on Christmas and to our surprise, Reel was open! It is not in the best part of Myrtle beach and is located in a Hampton inn but to our surprise, was a cute spot! We were uncertain where to park or get into the restaurant, entering from the garage. We finally made it in after wondering through the lobby. We loved the bartender, very personable and he crafted the best drinks-- a very balanced and strong espresso martini !! It was too cold to sit outside but the views were very pretty! If you're in the area, it's def worth stopping in! read more

Staying at the Hampton Oceanfront we chose to eat at the hotel for lunch. Their restaurant is well appointed and a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. Staff was very polite and attentive We ordered a steak quesadilla and a fish and chips. Wife's quesadilla had 4 well packed wedges that were very good. She got the salsa and chips on the side and felt the chips were a bit salty. My fish and chips were excellent. Fries perfect. My only complaint was I wish there was more. Overall, very tasty and would eat here again. If you're staying at the hotel, or nearby, the restaurant is open 12-10pm. read more

I saw some nice pictures of the interior and decided to stop by for lunch. Nestled in the Hampton Inn with off street parking I was greeted by David, a bartender who was kind and smiling. The restaurant is adorable and the food and drink was SPOT ON. I had their spicy margarita which mentioned it paired well with the heat burger. They marinate their own spicy tequila and it tasted so fresh and refreshing. The burger (medium) came cooked exactly as I ordered and the meat was a great blend. The burger lacked some spice so I tossed the extra jalapeños from the Marg on top. Chefs kiss for a lunch at a great price. 100% will be back. It was undergoing some renovations on the exterior so the view is temporarily covered. I can imagine when you can see the ocean it's really one of the best spots for value. Thanks for a good meal and nice conversation. I got a photo of the drink but the burger stood NO chance once it placed in front of me. Came with fries nicely salted and the bill was around $30.
