We came back to Aromas At the Beach Food, Bar & Breakfast for the second year in a row, and somehow…read moreit was just as good (if not better) than we remembered. Everything here is PACKED with flavor. We tried a little bit of everything -- empanadas, fried yucca, chicken, soup -- and there wasn't a single miss. Every dish came out tasting fresh, well-seasoned, and like it was made with care. You can tell this isn't just your typical beach spot... this is legit. And the service? Just as impressive. Every table inside was completely full, so we sat outside on a beautiful day -- and even with how busy they were, the service was FAST. Our hostess was fantastic the entire time, super attentive and on top of everything. You'd never guess how packed they were based on how smoothly everything ran. The fried yucca was perfectly crispy, the empanadas were loaded and flavorful, and the chicken and soup tied everything together. Honestly, one of those meals where you keep saying "yo this is GOOD" after every bite. We made it a priority to come back this trip, and now it's officially a tradition whenever we're in Sunset Beach. If you're anywhere nearby and want something different from the usual seafood spots, don't sleep on this place.

Good food at really nice little place right in Ocean Isle. Been coming to OIB for 40 years yet…read morenever ate here. Yes it is a bar -but indoor/outdoor seating and a surprisingly great menu. I had SSpring salad w/blackened shrimp and the shrimp were large, fresh and perfectly seared -and plentiful (8 or so) on top of a fresh salad. Others raved about their big mac salad, onion rings, burgers and fries. Will definitely go again. Bar is very large and perfectly seared for a beer and sports viewing. We went on a busy June Saturday-so although we didn't have to wait -be forwarned though the restaurant is pretty warm inside with everyone in/out and beach heat.

I had the Shrimp Tacos that were flavorful. The service however was not very good. We sat down and were eventually told it was tiki bar style where we had to go to the tiki bar to get food. Once we were told this, we also asked for an umbrella to shade the sun at our table. When we did we were told that umbrellas weren't supposed to be open because of the wind. At the same exact time we were told this, all the tables umbrellas were up and there were two umbrellas unused behind the bar. It seems that the staff just didn't want to help us.

First time trying, and honestly won't be back…read more I'll start with the good. Place was clean, the service was excellent and very friendly, albeit slow as it wasn't very busy on this off season week. The friendly service is what upped the stars. Ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a toasted everything with butter, and an iced coffee. Husband said coffee was good. We waited 25 min for something that should've taken less than 5. When it came out the everything wasn't toasted but we also didn't want to wait any longer. The bagels were definitely not boiled, and tasted like a piece of bread, not at all like a bagel. The size was ok, but for what we paid, just not worth it. I will stick to my rule of only eating bagels in NJ or north.

You stand in line to order and they bring the food to you when it's done. There's a dining room and a bar as well as patio seating. We ordered four bagels: one plain with grape jelly, one blueberry with strawberry jelly, one bacon egg and pepper jack on Asiago and one bacon, egg, American and bacon scallion cream cheese on jalapeño. We also order two coffees - one iced one hot, orange juice, a sunrise smoothie and a mimosa from the bar. Our sweets order was: donut holes, an Oreo donut and a cinnamon roll. The bagels were all very fresh and made perfectly. The coffees were custom orders and delicious - I had a hot cinnamon hazelnut coffee and it was an amazing combination! The donut holes were our favorite sweet! You could tell they were made fresh! The service was outstanding and the ambience was ideal. The kids loved watching the surfers on the big waves playing on the television! Definitely a must visit spot at OIB!
