I decided to try it here. The appetizer had just a little bit of lettuce, so I ordered the small house salad. My friend ordered the 'regular' salad with the tuna. The menus at both restaurants are different, with a few same items. This place has a long list of wings and a bigger menu. Nice service by our waiter.

So my buddy and I came back tonight with the bartender name Marhria we were there for several hours. We met amazing people we met their puppy that was there and their cat. Was there name, Frankie. We hung out there for an hour and we met amazing people while we played pool. We The bartender pretended to be our friend when I left my bill was 328 fucking dollars. So let's get to Straight. I bought a few rounds for some people a few beers for some people but my friend and I only drank Coors light bye-bye and I had a few bullet bourbons. Can you fucking believe that their bullet bourbons were $30 apiece? The bartender totally ripped us off because we were not locals. Let me ask you a question. When have you ever been to a fucking dive bar with a charge $30 for a double bullet bourbon? My wife and I travel all over the country and we've even been to California and just never been more than $18 for a double of bourbon. This fucking place ripped us off and she laughed about it as we left . My bill was $328 for two guys to drink. There's no food included in that. Keep in mind we were there twice earlier during the day and the bartender Amanda did not rip us off. This other bartender fucked us so bad. I can't even imagine all the places I've been to with my wife even in California our bill was never $328. So when I confronted her, she laughed and she had her boyfriend a mix Hispanic black guy behind the bar who said well that's our price. Like are you fucking kidding me. Do not go there. I'm actually calling my attorney because I'm bringing them up on charges for ripping me the fuck off I don't mind paying for my drinks, I expected a $220 bill. I did not expect a $338 fucking bill. So needless to say if she was a human being and treat us good I would've given her the $90 tip but she wanted to stick it to us and play scumbag games. She got a $20 tip on $338. And we are not like that. Do not go to this bar I repeat do not go there. I can't say enough do not come here go to pelicans 2 miles down the road and they treat you so much better

The dining room is very small and the tables are very close together. There was one table available and the man behind the bar pointed at it. We stepped over and we were about to sit down and we each reacted to how LOUD it was in there. Not from patrons. From some game. I am hard of hearing and the sound resounded in my head like being inside a church bell. Before either one of us sat we each motioned for the door because speaking would have been useless and we made a beeline for the parking lot. We are not old fogies. To the manager that day: Pay attention to what's going on in your restaurant! We went to Provisions and actually had a conversation.

I wanted to sit outside, but some of the tables were not in any shade. Too hot in the sun today. The bar was full (10 seats, I think). Once again Scuba Steve was my waiter. I ordered the fish and chips. I was told I could order regular fries, sweet potatoes, or onion rings. Well, one must have the correct chips! Watch out when you take your first bite. Both the fish and chips were pipping hot - right out of the fryer. The haddock was very tender while the batter was so crispy. Loved it and the chips too. Both were not greasy at all. Cooked perfectly It also came with a small cup of coleslaw, which was tasty and not overly heavy with mayo. I do think the pricing is a little on the high side for some items but the portions and quality of the food outweighs it. I plan to return and will bring my husband. He loves a good fish and chips.

Once we were told this, we also asked for an umbrella to shade the sun at our table. When we did we were told that umbrellas weren't supposed to be open because of the wind. At the same exact time we were told this, all the tables umbrellas were up and there were two umbrellas unused behind the bar. It seems that the staff just didn't want to help us.

This review is for the off season menu: I appreciate places…read moreoffering cheaper options during off season, to make it more affordable for the locals and giving the restaurant continued business. However, it would be best to just discount your regular menu slightly, but keep the quality of food the same. We can go anywhere during the tourist on-season and get a truly delicious $15 burger + fries around Ocean Isle (& even cheaper at Beaches). So when we saw the $10 off-season menu burger for Pelicans Perch we assumed the quality would still be good but that it was discounted as a way to keep busy during the off season. But it was reminiscent of a school lunch burger or a fast food burger (but even worse). The chili was ok, and that was why I did give it 2 stars. After that experience, I could not bother to go back to try the regular menu or recommend this place. So their regular menu may be wonderful. But serving an extremely low quality burger for $10 as a type of special for locals was disappointing.
