Decor inside

We came here for the fish n chips. We only like cod fish for that and this place was the winner tonight. Over all our experience was excellent. Our servers was top notch, the decor made us feel like we were really in Ireland. Food was excellent, hubby loved the fish n chips and I decided to get their special: roast beast, horseradish mashed potatoes, snap peas. Many options for beers and ciders. This was one of our favorites during our trip!

We were looking for something different and came upon this gem. We were met at the front and immediately sat at a table. Lisa, our server came quickly and took our drink and appetizer order. She came back to take our order and was extremely knowledgeable. She helped us make a great decision on our orders. We got the fried potato chips as our appetizer and they were outstanding. My wife got the chicken pot pie and stated that it was the best thing she ate all week. I got the corned beef and cabbage, which was the special for the night. The cabbage was cooked perfectly and the corned beef was extremely tender and seasoned perfectly. We topped off the dinner with a wonderful bread pudding. Highly recommend Flynn's and if you go ask for Lisa, she is amazing.

Landed in town for an overnight en route to HHI. While some restaurants were closed (it's pre-season), Flynn's appeared to be hopping. It's obviously a magnet for locals. There was live music in the bar with limited seating. We got seated in the dining room. The host was exceptionally friendly, but not necessarily the case with our server. We got the feeling it didn't matter if we were there or not--since we were not locals. No offer of bread with dinner and very little attention paid. Food was plentiful but really just okay. Irish potato pancakes are just large tater tots smashed into circles. Meh. Meatloaf dinner was sturdy. Chicken pot pie was more of a loose soup. Fish and chips weren't very sexy. No one really checked back to refill drinks or offer dessert. As I said, we felt like a nuisance. We paid the bill and left. My dining companions would give this a 2-I'm upping it based on the friendly host.

This wasn't my first time to Flynn's but I have to say it was my best experience there. The waiter was very personable and attentive. We ordered the Shepards pie, fish and chips, chicken pot pie, bangers and mash and the Jameson chicken. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We even ordered some homemade key lime pie for dessert. I am not a fan of key lime pie but this was the best I've ever had. The menu choices and service will make us visit again soon.

Outdoor seating area...open Thursdays through Saturdays i believe

Enjoyed an Irish meal tonight in North Myrtle Beach while visiting a friend... Pretty cool outdoor seating area that is open Thursdays through Saturdays with entertainment...will probably have to visit again on one of those days during another trip. Enjoyed a Smithwick's draft to start. Appetizers were absolutely delicious...we highly recommend ordering the Tavern Pretzel and Irish Egg Rolls ! Guinness Beef Stew...nothing like what we had in Ireland...was a little better after adding some salt and pepper...probably would not order again, but so many other items to try during future visits.

It's a fantastic blend of a traditional pub atmosphere with an unbeatable beach view! They also have a solid happy hour menu, quality Guinness, extensive whisky selection and serviceable bar food. There is also an old style arcade section which was also cool. They have outdoor seating with an ocean view. Some covered and some not covered. I decided to sit outside and enjoy the view. The waiter brought me a water and a fly spinner deflector. I ordered a beer which was good. They have a large selection of local and craft beers along with mixed drink specials. The menu only had a few Irish dishes and the rest was salads and burgers/sandwiches. I wasn't happy with the selection but decided to go ahead and order the fish and chips. It was a very large portion. When it came I ate some of it. It just wasn't for me. I would like to try this place again to try another dish but I'm giving it 3 stars because the dish wasn't that great.

Over all I used to love this place but it has gone way down and to pay $10.00 to an attendant for parking and no one is even there is ridiculous. Beers were $6.00 . And don't forget the cockroach for the win. I have mixed feelings .. because it could be a great . Maybe get an exterminator.

I believe the owner sat us at our table and was very friendly. The waitress quickly came over with menus and took our drink order and informed us of the soup of the day. My wife and I love soup so we each ordered a cup of the soup special (chicken tortellini). I asked about the chicken wings and was told that they are excellent so I ordered 12 barbecue chicken wings and my wife ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The soup had excellent flavor but the tortellini's were way over cooked. My chicken wings were excellent as described. They were large and crispy. Some of the best I've had in a while. She became extremely hostile that she had to remake the glass of club soda. she screamed at me that this was her bar! Me, thinking to myself...so what, bring what I asked for simple, right? You do not own the business! I sought out the owner who has always been present during my 3-4 previous visits to share what happened. He explained she has a problems when it gets busy...... and gets agitated. Honestly, the place had a trivia contest but it was not all that busy. I was there the night before for St Paddy's Day dinner, there were no issues. The place was packed. I was seated quickly, ordered and the club soda and the Rueben was served in am amazingly short time. The Rueben grilled and hot! The server was wonderful. I had fried fish there at lunch, great. I had prime rib for dinner. The prime rib was, delicious, cooked to perfection. The 6 oz cut yielded 3 oz of pure fat. I brought the fat home and weighted it. So be careful of the so called specials. My fault, I should have not accepted the cut. Bottom line, food is good as is the service, except for this JJ bartender. As a seasoned business owner, I wonder why he keeps such an unbalanced individual on during the busy times if he knows she cannot handle it in a professional manner? Maybe put her on lunch schedule or out to pasture. There are so many restaurant's and bars to choose from, no one should have to put up with surly waitstaff.
