Very cool spot. Seems to be mostly locals. Good drinks, not expensive, friendly bartenders, ass kicking live music- what els could you possibly ask for?!

My husband and I, along with another couple, had a drink and some snacks here on Halloween night. We chose this place because it had live music on the deck. Sadly the deck was packed so we sat inside where we didn't have to worry as much about social distancing. From what we could tell the music on the deck was great, I just wish we could have enjoyed it more. We stayed a bit longer than we intended, due to the fact that they were having problems with kitchen staffing, but the food that we got (when we got it) was real good. My husband and I got deep fried pickles, they were plentiful and tasty. Our friends got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which they said was really good, and some onion rings (which they shared with us and were some of the best I've ever had). I had a "Drunken Parrot", which was pretty good, and my husband had a beer. Service was friendly.

Horrid. We came here on a Sunday when most places were closing down or had long waits. We didn't have high expectations judging from the appearance of the place. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Besides, there wasn't much available seating inside. The menu was simple, with a half-dozen or so items. That was fine with us. We chose just to have a hotdog and it was microwaved, burnt and tasted like c**p. Speaking of c***, we kept smelling this stench outside. Then we noticed an outhouse not far from us. And it was by no means smelling 'fresh' either. It was absolutely gross. Horrible food, and awful environment. Just gross. Only positive was that the server was nice.

We arrived at the establishment excited to eat and have fun. Instead, they didn't even put in our food because "the kitchen was full" but there was only half a restaurant full. There was barely anyone and no reason for the kitchen to be delayed. The orders came out at different times and they didn't even take some of orders; our waitress ignored the other half of our table. Would NOT recommend. Also this was the coleslaw. LOL.

It is just A-OK and does the trick for a drink/bite to eat after a long day of traveling in the car. Our condo was not ready yet since we arrived down in NMB early, and this bar shares the same parking with our condo rental company. Simple, no frills exterior, lots of older local folks drinking here, basic beer menu but lots of yummy cocktails to choose from, and a menu with lots of the traditional bar food. Nothing here was bad, it was all around just an average experience. Our server was quite friendly, the drinks and beers hit the spot, and the appetizer platter was good to split. Nothing overly remarkable was served, but again, it did the trick when we were all starving after 11 hours in the car. I did not use the restroom but my mother tried to and the women's was out of order and the men's room toilet was out of order, only a urinal so I have no idea how women are supposed to use the restroom here. So that was interesting to say the least. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat or drink here on vacation, but it was fine to kill some time while waiting for our condo to be ready to check into.

The drinks and the food were really good! I thought the quesadilla was going to be like the ones you get from taco bell which has nothing in it, but they put a lot of food in it! It was so filling I had some for leftovers. You would think by ordering the jalapeño poppers, beer battered fish and chips, chicken quesadilla, cherry cola cocktail and the jolly josh shooter that it would be am expensive bill but actually it was less than $15! Also the place is very likely with people playing billiard, music and watching shows. Definitely would come here again.

Quaint divey bar with cheap drinks and live music in the off season. However if you are under the age of 55, this place is not for you.

All seafood, meats, & produce were of high quality and prepared to perfection. I recommend the Grouper Bites as an appetizer. The ambience was nothing fancy but still comfortable . You should go dine there and I know you will be glad you did.

Took our beverage orders, returned quickly with those and water. She told us the specials which we passed on. Fred ordered fried oysters platter, I ordered an à la carte crab cake and oysters Rockefeller. Our food arrived quickly. Fried oysters were plentiful and crispy. House made chips were crunchy and delicious. My crab cake was wonderful - as close to a Maryland crab cake as I've had in a long time. Lump crab, very little bread crumbs, pan fried and served with a dollop of hollandaise. It needed some Old Bay seasoning. The Rockefeller Oysters were delicious. Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. I'd definitely return!

The family owned restaurant was clean but smaller compared to the other huge seafood restaurants in the area. We ordered small plate of flounder (2) fillets, baked potato, slaw and a 3 item small combo with large (5) shrimp, scallops (3) and oysters (5) fries and a house salad. Complimentary hush puppies fresh out of the fryer. Probably some of the best fried seafood we've had in a long time. Seasoned great, hot but not a bit greasy as most fried foods. We ordered the small plates and it was a perfect portion for us. We didn't have any leftovers and filled with a great meal. We will come back and just remember to get there early.

We each picked a couple items, and at first I was skeptical about how well such a mixed menu would come together. That skepticism didn't last long. What's impressive is how they manage to cover different cuisines and still execute them well. The shishito peppers came perfectly grilled and paired with an amazing sauce that really elevated them beyond a typical appetizer. The meatballs felt like something straight out of a family kitchen comforting, rich, and reminiscent of grandma-style cooking. The shrimp scampi was another standout: flavorful, well-balanced, and not overdone with butter or garlic. But the real highlight of the night was the pistachio espresso martini so smooth, creative, and easily one of the most memorable cocktails on the menu. Overall, it's a great spot for sharing plates and trying a little bit of everything. It turns what could feel like a scattered menu into a fun, consistently solid dining experience.

The wine menu is massive, and the cocktails were incredible. The pistachio martini was a standout and a must-try. Our server, Laurie, truly made the night. The outside is great for families or for a date night. They have a section where they have an outside bar so you can be by the water. We had the steak with a side order of shrimp, had the Big chill burger with an extra side the Hawaiian pasta salad and the Big Chill Island salad with chicken. Service was good. The apps were tasty and if you like spicy hot it was good. The steak and shrimp was good and flavorful, the burger was good but not the pasta salad. It was not good, that even my daughter didn't like it. As for my Big Chill Island salad was also a disappointment. Not sure what it was but the flavors just didn't go well together. I always like to give places a second try so we might come back and I will try another dish.

Almost everyone in the group went to the bar to wait and was told someone would come for them when the table was ready. I stopped in another store on the way in to the restaurant, so I was a few minutes behind. When I came in, I told the hostess that I'm meeting the rest of my party who is potentially already seated, if she could direct me to where. I gave her the name it was under, and she said they weren't checked in yet. I thought it was strange, but it was almost 6:45 and thought we should still be fine. I texted them to let them know what I was told-they DID check in, so I told the hostess I would wait until the table was ready with her so I could let the rest of my party know. I waited until 7:00 and asked her if we were still waiting for a table or if they were waiting for the rest of my party to come out front and she said she would go check. She came back and said that there still wasn't a table ready and we'd have to wait about 15 more minutes. I joined the rest of my group and went back up front since no one came to get us and asked again. We are now approaching an hour past our reservation and she had seated several other big groups one of which specifically told me they did not have a reservation. I got a little frustrated and let it be known and we were finally seated right about 7:45. If it wasn't for the fact that we had two small children with us that were losing their mind, I would've been fine, even if I was annoyed. When we were finally seated, we were fortunately greeted with a wonderful server, Abby A. I was not overly thrilled with the choices of food on the menu, but we had 6 adults and everyone found something and they were all famished, so I couldn't get many pictures. We ordered the street corn dip (delicious), crab hushpuppies (probably would have been really good had they not been so overcooked/on the verge of burnt) and island fries (I didn't try because 2 of the adults were tearing from the peppers) As for entrees, I settled for the steak skewers, which were well cooked, and tasted OK. I opted to get asparagus instead of the broccolini, but it was WAY overcooked, flavorless, and soggy. I wish I thought to ask for some other than fries because the 2 I tried weren't worth eating. Others ordered chicken peanut mango salad (good), Hawaiian Kalua pork (enjoyed), Capera Island salmon (done well), low country pasta added shrimp (shrimp was cooked nicely), and hamburger kids meal...thinner that McDonald's! She didn't even want to eat the burger "slice". The food was decent, but not nearly good enough for me to ever go back after waiting over an hour our time for a reservation that was made over a week ago without any apologies or even checking in on us. If I hadn't kept checking back, I don't think we would've been seated for a while. I could've spent about $400 somewhere else and had better food and treated with more respect while waiting for our LATE reservation.

This Thursday I was heading up with the wife to buy some fish and we decided to go for it. Of course there was zero parking with a parade of cars in the parking lot waiting to pick up food, when my wife noticed a pick up truck right in front of the place about to exit. She sped right next to the spot and jumped in before anyone realized it. We're in...or so I thought. We strolled up and there were about 35 people sitting on benches and rocking chairs under a tent right in front of the place all waiting to get in. I figured this is not going to be easy. I went up to the hostess station and asked how long for a table for two and she said 35 minutes or so. I looked at my wife and gave her my name. I had to find out what all the hub bub was about. In about 30 minutes they shouted my name and I sprinted to the front door...I wasn't about to lose my table. In we went and we're shown a nice size table in the middle of the place. It kinda reminded me of a beachy mom and pop diner. The friendly waitress came to the table right away, gave us our menus, showed us the specials board and took a drink order. The menu was simple but had some choices on it. While we were thinking, she came back with our drinks and we quickly ordered an appetizer. In this case, onion rings. A few minutes later my wife settled on a crab cake app and a salad which she asked to be combined. I went for the soup of the day(NE clam chowder) and one of the specials...pork chops(I took my grilled not fried) with 3 sides, Lima beans, okra & tomatoes stewed and green beans. The meal came with a choice of cornbread or roll. I opted for the cornbread. In a flash, the onion rings came out followed by the soup. Now I do love me some onion rings and these were fantastic. Crispy, flavorful and not stringy. The soup was home made. Creamy with bits of clam and chunks of potato. No salt or pepper was needed as it came out steaming hot and perfect. It was a meal in itself and I ended up taking 3/4 home with me(something rarely do). After a few minutes, the main course came out. My wife dug into a very large homemade crab cake, chock full of crab meat and very flavorful. She loved it. The salad was fresh and crisp. My pork chops came out and the size of the plate shocked me. Now, I almost never talk about price but my plate was $12.49 and I got two large perfectly prepared, juicy pork chops with a healthy helping of the best okra and stewed tomatoes I ever had plus absolutely delicious green beans and tasty lima beans. What a deal! The only thing that wasn't above average was the corn bread which was a tad dry and plain. Most of the regulars opted for the home made roll(and the fried chicken which was being served at every table!). I was stuffed and had trouble finishing my plate. My wife who said she was full, managed to save enough room for dessert. Now everyone was eating the homemade peach cobbler so I suggested that. My wife never had it before and was thinking about the Oreo pie, but I persuaded her and she was glad I did. Instead of the usual whip cream she wanted vanilla ice cream with it and it was a fantastic combo. The cobbler came out piping hot and crumbly with sweet chunks of peaches that paired well with the cold vanilla ice cream. She attacked it so fast that I couldn't get a picture. I broke my own rules and dipped in for a few spoonfuls and I'm glad I did. It was heavenly. The bill came and I couldn't believe how reasonable it was. Now I know why you can't get into the joint. We paid our bill and gave the super friendly waitress a nice tip and were on our way. We will absolutely be back and will try to time it a bit better so we can find parking...or we'll take an Uber...it was that good.

The fried chicken is what Chic-fil-A wishes it could be. The collards and mac & cheese are both top-shelf recipes ... to the point that my 6-yo - not usually keen on either - ate more of them than his french fries (which were also good). The peach cobbler and banana pudding weren't pretentious by any means, but they were definitely elevated compared to the average blue plate sweet course. We'll be back for some fried seafood soon!
