Home made onion rings that are just stellar.
Ruth B.

Heading towards a nearby highly rated restaurant when we passed this little gem. Looked at the menu which looked pretty good but kept walking towards the other place and turned around when we saw the line. Not sorry at ALL that we ended up here. I had the fish of the day which was fried grouper with coleslaw, hush puppies and homemade onion rings. M had their burger and tots and rings. Goodness me, the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. His burger was one of the best I've seen in ages. Thick and juicy and perfectly grilled. The onion rings were also stellar. My fish was enough for three meals and just great. The atmosphere is good on the deck (the upper deck is closed) but inside was a little stale. I would prefer not to be inside. Prices are reasonable and service was great. Went back for live music and had a great night. It's a little divey but really really good.

Very cool spot. Seems to be mostly locals. Good drinks, not expensive, friendly bartenders, ass kicking live music- what els could you possibly ask for?!

My husband and I, along with another couple, had a drink and some snacks here on Halloween night. We chose this place because it had live music on the deck. Sadly the deck was packed so we sat inside where we didn't have to worry as much about social distancing. From what we could tell the music on the deck was great, I just wish we could have enjoyed it more. We stayed a bit longer than we intended, due to the fact that they were having problems with kitchen staffing, but the food that we got (when we got it) was real good. My husband and I got deep fried pickles, they were plentiful and tasty. Our friends got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which they said was really good, and some onion rings (which they shared with us and were some of the best I've ever had). I had a "Drunken Parrot", which was pretty good, and my husband had a beer. Service was friendly.

Horrid. We came here on a Sunday when most places were closing down or had long waits. We didn't have high expectations judging from the appearance of the place. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Besides, there wasn't much available seating inside. The menu was simple, with a half-dozen or so items. That was fine with us. We chose just to have a hotdog and it was microwaved, burnt and tasted like c**p. Speaking of c***, we kept smelling this stench outside. Then we noticed an outhouse not far from us. And it was by no means smelling 'fresh' either. It was absolutely gross. Horrible food, and awful environment. Just gross. Only positive was that the server was nice.

We arrived at the establishment excited to eat and have fun. Instead, they didn't even put in our food because "the kitchen was full" but there was only half a restaurant full. There was barely anyone and no reason for the kitchen to be delayed. The orders came out at different times and they didn't even take some of orders; our waitress ignored the other half of our table. Would NOT recommend. Also this was the coleslaw. LOL.

It is just A-OK and does the trick for a drink/bite to eat after a long day of traveling in the car. Our condo was not ready yet since we arrived down in NMB early, and this bar shares the same parking with our condo rental company. Simple, no frills exterior, lots of older local folks drinking here, basic beer menu but lots of yummy cocktails to choose from, and a menu with lots of the traditional bar food. Nothing here was bad, it was all around just an average experience. Our server was quite friendly, the drinks and beers hit the spot, and the appetizer platter was good to split. Nothing overly remarkable was served, but again, it did the trick when we were all starving after 11 hours in the car. I did not use the restroom but my mother tried to and the women's was out of order and the men's room toilet was out of order, only a urinal so I have no idea how women are supposed to use the restroom here. So that was interesting to say the least. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat or drink here on vacation, but it was fine to kill some time while waiting for our condo to be ready to check into.

Jalapeño poppers with ranch

The drinks and the food were really good! I thought the quesadilla was going to be like the ones you get from taco bell which has nothing in it, but they put a lot of food in it! It was so filling I had some for leftovers. You would think by ordering the jalapeño poppers, beer battered fish and chips, chicken quesadilla, cherry cola cocktail and the jolly josh shooter that it would be am expensive bill but actually it was less than $15! Also the place is very likely with people playing billiard, music and watching shows. Definitely would come here again.

The bar!

We got 12 wings, half with the black gold or whatever, and they were good. I mean, really good. My daughter got the club, and if you look through the pictures, you'll see a HUGE sandwich. She could only eat about 1/4 of it. My granddaughter got mozzarella sticks and fries, and was oohing and ahing over the sticks. I got the Apple Pecan salad with the raspberry vinaigrette, and it was very good, lots of interesting flavors and textures. I'm glad I got it because I hadn't had a nice, big salad in a while. Everyone seemed pleased with their food, except my ex, but he saved his food for later (the other 6 wings). Looking at the pictures, now I'm wishing I had gotten that good-looking chocolate cake. Oh well, next visit. Thanks to Christian for making it an enjoyable experience.

There was also live music playing, which really brought the place to life and made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. For food, we ordered the shrimp meal and the gumbo soup. The gumbo was delicious and packed with meat, very hearty and flavorful. My only complaint is that I asked for less meat due to an upset stomach, but they weren't able to accommodate that, which I understand. The crackers served with the soup also tasted a bit old and off. The shrimp, however, was very tasty and enjoyable. We attempted to visit LuLus on Thursday, but they were closed due to A/C issues. We came back on Friday and were glad we did. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind from the moment we arrived. They also have a cute shop attached to the restaurant where I was able to get some Aloe Vera to help ease my sunburn, which was super convenient. Would highly recommend!

We had orders taken and waited many minutes for our server to return. We did catch her eye and inquired about our order and she waved us off and said "it's coming". She came back a few minutes later and told us ticket times are usually 35-40 minutes so our order was not late. When we received our food, shrimp and fish were not hot and were overcooked. We had one GF order which was the smallest serving of fish for $30. Definitely not worth the hours or money.

While walking around Barefoot Landing, we decided to stop in for lunch, and the atmosphere and views definitely did not disappoint! We ordered the fish tacos and pulled pork sandwich so we could each try a little of both. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the quality of the food, especially considering the price point. The fish tacos were incredibly dry and lacked flavor. The pulled pork sandwich was also very dry, even with the slaw on top. I requested a side of the Japanese BBQ sauce to add some flavor, but unfortunately, that sauce wasn't very good either. Another disappointment was that we couldn't substitute the regular fries for the Island Fries without paying the full appetizer price. Our waitress explained that adding the Island Fries would be the full cost of the appetizer, which seemed a little excessive when ordering an entrée. That said, our waitress was very friendly and attentive, and the beautiful Intracoastal view and fun beach-style décor really added to the experience. Those positives are what kept me from giving it a lower rating. Overall, we really wanted to love this place, but the food just didn't live up to the atmosphere or the price. The setting is beautiful, but unfortunately, we left disappointed with the meal.l

We each got the Mama Todd's dinner plate. Loved everything on it, & I asked for sweet butter to slather on my cornbread + half and half of the Sweet Tea. I also got the Lima beans and mac and cheese for the side. Service was pretty quick for a party of five, and we were seated within 20-30 min at most. Grabbed a Pinot Grigio and a beer at the side bar while we waited. They brought out hush puppies when we sat down, & those lasted about 30 seconds at our table :) The staff was simply wonderful; We also asked the hostess to help us take a family pic outside before we left. They have a cute shop where you can pick up a t-shirt as a souvenir- which I had to do because I LOVE THIS PLACE. If this was close to me, I would eat here every weekend. The prices are reasonable, the food is wonderful, and the staff was kind and hospitable. There are many places to eat in Myrtle Beach, but we love supporting local businesses that are family owned. If you're craving fried chicken or country fried steak with all the fixin' on the side, look no further. Fantastic place for locals and tourists. Cheers
