Shrimp bowl

I wanted to love this place sooo badly, because the atmosphere is fun, the colors are vibrant and it is HUGE! However, I don't think we'd come back. Pros: service was attentive and relatively quick! My daughter got chips and cheese dip and it was really tasty. Cold beer is always a plus! Not as fun: our meals were just meh. The shrimp in my tacos didn't have any seasoning (I did like the sauce they served with it though), I didn't like the gumbo at all (my husband loves gumbo and he also though meh), the shrimp bowl was quite pricey and my "I love everything" husband was so disappointed - he wished he had tried something else. I'm glad we gave it a try, and we may come another time for live music and drinks (maybe chips and cheese).

Fun place in the summer when the kids can play outside but otherwise, nothing else is really remarkable. Food is decent but overpriced. Service is okay. They do offer happy hour and kids eat free on Mondays.

We enjoy the options at Barefoot landing and with everyone visiting the area for a family wedding, we needed a meal! We checked at the desk and put our name and phone number to be texted when a table was ready (about one hour). We explored the local shops around here and several members came out with bags of swag and treats! When the text came in we returned and were seated. Our server brought waters and took our appetizer order (Okra & Onion Rings). Our family from NY had never heard of Okra and a few gave it a try. Having the dipping sauce helped for sure. Our drink orders were delivered and meal selections were taken. The service was timely and our meals came out in two sakes of a lambs tail. The portions were generous and half our party needed ToGo containers for a second meal back at our cottages. We did sample some fudge that was purchased at a shop for a light desert! All in the bill was $275 with tip which I tried to contribute to but my brother in law paid first ! One life hack- when the restaurant closes at ten (on this Friday night) there is a fire works display over the water which lasted for ten minutes. It was enjoyable and a smart way to empty out the shops and restaurants!

Had a very nice lunch today with friends and all enjoyed what they had to eat. My only issue is that I expected a bit more gumbo for the money spent.. Our waitess Cassidy did a very nice job taking care of us and all parties agreed that we would return another time..

The service is pretty nice with polite waiters and waitresses. They always refill your drinks when they are empty. Everyone is really kind! The ambience can be loud but if you don't mind it it's pretty fine. This place can be full during tourist season so sometimes it can be packed. The colors of the building is quite pretty with the pink and teal! We ordered some side meals for a lunch and since its bust it does take a bit for us to get our order today (We ordered side fries and Onion ring basket)

Love this place! So much on the menu to choose from! Never been disappointed. I could live on their crab claws alone!

Okay, so I've been to Lulu's in Gulf Shores, but this was my first time in Myrtle Beach. I'll definitely be back. The food was delicious. The portion of the fried crab claws was HUGE. There was definitely enough to share. We also shared fried okra and queso dip and they were both great. The daiquiris were wonderful. The views were stunning. I'm dying to go back. The service was okay. I was disappointed that we shared we were there in celebration of something and there was no acknowledgement of that, but the service was quick and friendly overall.

We loved this place so much we came back twice on our 5 night visit. There is tons of seating indoor and outside right by the water. Service was great! The hurricanes didn't taste anything like the ones in NOLA but they were strong and good. All the food (especially the desserts) were amazing! The atmosphere alone is worth a visit!

Great views and vibe. Food and drinks are little above mediocre and are too pricey in my opinion. But, you forget about all of that when taking in the views and vibing out.

The food was amazing and reasonable priced. The vibe was great. There was various seating options. The server was laid back and there was a view of the lake so we got to see boats.

The best nachos I have ever had! Don't know what spices or flavors the chef added to the ground beef? But WOW. Sincerely, A Nacho addict from Maryland Our bartender was Drew and he met our every need despite the bar being busy

Ambiance: Nice location. Near shopping and other activities. Great to have a walk right after you eat. Facility was clean. There was live music, which was a nice touch. Service: Our server, Mary, was excellent. She he led on us often and ensured that we were well taken care of. It took a long time for our drinks and food to come out, and they were not busy at all. It's off season, so the place was probably at 10-15% capacity with plenty of staff. Food: Grouper Shrimp Those oysters left something to be desired though. They were not fried well and tasted like dirt. Now, I love oysters so I was disappointed. Then you see my mule. Does not look like the pic, but it was decent. Taste like a mule with peach syrup.

Ask the Community - LuLu's North Myrtle Beach

Is the waitlist still available? Normally I can set it up to send me an alert when it starts to get busy and it will tell me to go add myself to waitlist for my specific time that I want to go. However nothing is showing up on yelp...

Sure is. The same as before

We r doing a join wait list for sat for 50 ppl I know I need to do it by 10s but it's not letting me do I wait for tonight to do it?

Hey there! You will need to use a different phone number for each group of 10 for the system to recognize them as "different" parties.

Do you take reservations?

They do offer "call ahead seating" online. where you can join the waitlist. I STRONGLY recommend! There are huge crowds here every night of the week.

We checked in for 6pm. We have a party of 16 but would let pick 10 max. We can split 2 tables of 6. Is this possible?

yes, please submit your party as Nikki Party 1, Nikki Party 2, so that the front desk knows . You might have to use two separate cell phones to submit.

Is there any beach you can bring your pets to, and please tell me where?

Hi, Wolfie! Sorry for the late response. Although Barefoot Landing as a whole is pet-friendly, LuLu's only accepts service animals at this time due to keeping both the pets and children safe in our outdoor areas.

Is there a Happy Hour?

There is a happy hour, during the off season, for locals. It isn't great.

Are they pet friendly?

No. Child friendly though. Fun place!

I hold give this a 3.5 if I could. I reserve 5 stars for excellence. I feel like a 3 is too low,…read morebut a 4 is too high. We have been here many times. It has almost always been a good experience. However, I was disappointed this time because we have ALWAYS been told (in or off season) that they do not take reservations. We even checked their website again before coming this time and it says on their website that they DO NOT take reservations. Upon arriving to the restaurant we were told that we would have to wait longer because we did not have a reservation. We were told that even though they say they do not take reservations, they do now because it is the off season. I guess we were supposed to read their minds and know that their policy changes at an unadvertised date. Poor customer service if you ask me. The food was good as usual (we love their fish spread). Our waitress was kind and helpful, even making sure that we got the best price possible on our food by choosing an item off the happy hour menu for us. The dining area was adequately clean. The bathrooms are adequate as well. I will say that the most trouble we have had is with the host staff. This is not our first time having issues with them being unfriendly or not paying attention to customers. For these reasons I feel like a 4 star review would be too generous.

The outside is great for families or for a date night. They have a section where they have an outside bar so you can be by the water. They also have a small stage that I'm sure they have music outside. So we started off with drinks and some appetizers. We had the calamari, street corn dip and the margarita. We had the steak with a side order of shrimp, had the Big chill burger with an extra side the Hawaiian pasta salad and the Big Chill Island salad with chicken. Service was good. The apps were tasty and if you like spicy hot it was good. The steak and shrimp was good and flavorful, the burger was good but not the pasta salad. It was not good, that even my daughter didn't like it. As for my Big Chill Island salad was also a disappointment. Not sure what it was but the flavors just didn't go well together. I always like to give places a second try so we might come back and I will try another dish.

Let me start this review by saying the ONLY reason I'm giving this three stars is because our…read moreserver Abby A. was phenomenal! We had a reservation for 6:45 pm and arrived a little after 6:30. Almost everyone in the group went to the bar to wait and was told someone would come for them when the table was ready. I stopped in another store on the way in to the restaurant, so I was a few minutes behind. When I came in, I told the hostess that I'm meeting the rest of my party who is potentially already seated, if she could direct me to where. I gave her the name it was under, and she said they weren't checked in yet. I thought it was strange, but it was almost 6:45 and thought we should still be fine. I texted them to let them know what I was told-they DID check in, so I told the hostess I would wait until the table was ready with her so I could let the rest of my party know. I waited until 7:00 and asked her if we were still waiting for a table or if they were waiting for the rest of my party to come out front and she said she would go check. She came back and said that there still wasn't a table ready and we'd have to wait about 15 more minutes. I joined the rest of my group and went back up front since no one came to get us and asked again. We are now approaching an hour past our reservation and she had seated several other big groups one of which specifically told me they did not have a reservation. I got a little frustrated and let it be known and we were finally seated right about 7:45. If it wasn't for the fact that we had two small children with us that were losing their mind, I would've been fine, even if I was annoyed. When we were finally seated, we were fortunately greeted with a wonderful server, Abby A. I was not overly thrilled with the choices of food on the menu, but we had 6 adults and everyone found something and they were all famished, so I couldn't get many pictures. We ordered the street corn dip (delicious), crab hushpuppies (probably would have been really good had they not been so overcooked/on the verge of burnt) and island fries (I didn't try because 2 of the adults were tearing from the peppers) As for entrees, I settled for the steak skewers, which were well cooked, and tasted OK. I opted to get asparagus instead of the broccolini, but it was WAY overcooked, flavorless, and soggy. I wish I thought to ask for some other than fries because the 2 I tried weren't worth eating. Others ordered chicken peanut mango salad (good), Hawaiian Kalua pork (enjoyed), Capera Island salmon (done well), low country pasta added shrimp (shrimp was cooked nicely), and hamburger kids meal...thinner that McDonald's! She didn't even want to eat the burger "slice". The food was decent, but not nearly good enough for me to ever go back after waiting over an hour our time for a reservation that was made over a week ago without any apologies or even checking in on us. If I hadn't kept checking back, I don't think we would've been seated for a while. I could've spent about $400 somewhere else and had better food and treated with more respect while waiting for our LATE reservation.

Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. We each picked a couple items, and at first I was skeptical about how well such a mixed menu would come together. That skepticism didn't last long. What's impressive is how they manage to cover different cuisines and still execute them well. The shishito peppers came perfectly grilled and paired with an amazing sauce that really elevated them beyond a typical appetizer. The meatballs felt like something straight out of a family kitchen comforting, rich, and reminiscent of grandma-style cooking. The shrimp scampi was another standout: flavorful, well-balanced, and not overdone with butter or garlic. But the real highlight of the night was the pistachio espresso martini so smooth, creative, and easily one of the most memorable cocktails on the menu.
