First time visit on Father's day. Interesting offerings and options which look healthy. Ordered Salmon Bowl with strawberry dressing and enjoyed. Wife had Greek Salad that also found likable. However, seating area looked messy, needed a good cleanup. While spooning out food, there was some spillage between bins, also not very appealing. Perhaps hard to keep the ingredients off the countertop but a little more cleanup between serving would improve overall looks. So maybe a little more attention to appearance would raise my rating. read more

Pick up order was a disaster. Couldn't find my order. Went home, no more than 10 minutes away, my falafel was cold. Tables were dirty while I waited and food area was messy with food scattered around--see photo. Surprised they had an A rating on the door. read more

We love the food at Cava. This location in N. Myrtle was filthy. Nearly every table had crumbs left on it. If the table wasn't covered in crumbs it was so sticky our arms stuck to it. It wasn't busy at the time we were there. There was one other family in the dining area. read more

While the food is pretty good, this restaurant needs a little help in the management department. We got to the restaurant about 11:45 on a weekday and the table was dirty, the ice machine was empty, the unsweet tea container was completely empty, and the diet Mexican was completely empty as well. Since we had paid for drinks, the cashier allowed us to swap out a side in place of one drink, but the overall experience left us with a lot to be desired. read more

CAVA - Harrissa Avocado Bowl ($15) - Mediterranean Near Me - North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Yesterday was the first time visiting Cava, and I would have to say I was a little disappointed. The service was good and helpful, but disappointed that I didn't choose my entree experience more wisely. Disappointed, that I didn't ask for a small sample of the Fan Favorite "Harissa Avocado" before ordering, so I would fully understand the heat level in that dish, before ordering it. Disappointed, that I didn't ask for the spicy harissa sauce on the side, so I could add my level of heat to the entree I selected. Not sure if those options were available prior to ordering or not, but would suggest that management make these available to customers who inform employees that this is our first visit. With that said, the amount of sauce added to my entree to me was over the top spicy, and took away from the freshness of the chef curated bowl. My wife's Chicken with Rice bowl, also chef curated, was more in line with my taste, but the Feta and the Kalamata Olives was again a little over the top, being the saltiest I have ever tasted. My concern based on other area restaurant experiences, is that standard operating procedures might not have been followed to a "T" as it relates to the quantity of the items added to these two bowls. Possibly, food preparation recipes had not been properly followed? All in all, I would give Cava a second try, but would definitely build my own bowl like I do at Chipotle, and try to figure out my likes and dislikes. I probably will be asking for samples of toppings prior to selection, to hopefully insure a better dining experience. I will definitely be passing on the arugula, and be adding the romaine instead. I have definitely found that froufrou salad toppings are not in my wheelhouse. With that said, I appreciate the specialty drinks that Cava has created, but I'm just not a fan of floral tastes in my drink selections either. With that said, the blueberry lavender juice, will definitely not be on my shopping list on my next visit. The lemonade was solid, the strawberry citrus juice was decent, the mint cucumber lime I did not sample. The experience of setting down in the dining room, only to find food particles swept onto the seats was also disappointing for a rather new restaurant chain hoping to build out its footprint in the US. The value of this first visit I would have to rate as low, considering a $36 price tag for 2 meals that was not very satisfying. Especially, when you consider the fact that these were both chef curated entree selections, and only minimal items were added that did not cause the over the top flavor profile. I have dined at several Mediterranean restaurants in the past, and this was definitely not remotely reminiscent of any of those experiences, and definitely not in a good way. The concept is definitely enticing, but delivering on a great Mediterranean experience needs work, and possibly better R& D. Will update review after next visit. read more

The bowls are fresh, healthy and surprisingly tasty. Service cannot be better, it is like they just hire nice people. Oh, and the fountain drinks are cool, like the Mexican cola. 100% recommended. read more

We did a takeout via their app on feb 4. I had a spicy chicken + avocado pita sandwich. Very good and very spicy. The pita has the consistency of normal flatbread. Very tasty. My wife had a create a grain bowl with lamb. She said it was great, and the lamb was delicious. The ordering was easy to use, and the order was ready when they said it would be when we picked it up. I had the harissa avocado and it was good. The food is very different and fun. The service and location was suspicious. The group serving seemed uncoordinated and unsure of what they were doing. There was no "system" to what they were doing. The drink selection is too narrow and the tables were sticky and unclean. I'd get take out but i would never eat there again. read more

Today was my third time dining at Cava in North Myrtle Beach. All three visits were great. The food was great but the staff were even better. They are always so pleasant and helpful. I made the initial visit at the request of my daughter and wife. Good place. One other comment, please make sure tables are kept clean along with trashcans emptied. Scott, not Susan here. read more

CAVA in NMB is one of our family favorite "fast food" restaurants. It is always clean, the food is always fresh with amazing customer service. Jared, the manager, is very personable and always makes us feel welcome, even when he has a long line of customers waiting. He always acknowledges us with a smile or pleasantries. Drew the GM is very professional and actually cares, not just about the customers, but his team. He only had wonderful things to say about his amazing team. The food is great! It doesn't make us feel sick, like other fast food places and I can count calories easily. My kids absolutely love coming here. If you are in NMB, you have to stop by CAVA and try them out.
