Dirty food prep surface with undoubtedly lots of cross contamination. .

Pick up order was a disaster. Couldn't find my order. Went home, no more than 10 minutes away, my falafel was cold. Tables were dirty while I waited and food area was messy with food scattered around--see photo. Surprised they had an A rating on the door.

Chicken and rice bowl, all the way.

I love this place! Very fresh ingredients, good service, and good atmosphere. I wish we had one closer to home.

I love Cava! This location lived up to my expectations - clean restaurant, fast service, friendly employees, and delicious food. I love how for $15, the bowls are absolutely packed with food!

Yesterday was the first time visiting Cava, and I would have to say I was a little disappointed. The service was good and helpful, but disappointed that I didn't choose my entree experience more wisely. Disappointed, that I didn't ask for a small sample of the Fan Favorite "Harissa Avocado" before ordering, so I would fully understand the heat level in that dish, before ordering it. Disappointed, that I didn't ask for the spicy harissa sauce on the side, so I could add my level of heat to the entree I selected. Not sure if those options were available prior to ordering or not, but would suggest that management make these available to customers who inform employees that this is our first visit. With that said, the amount of sauce added to my entree to me was over the top spicy, and took away from the freshness of the chef curated bowl. My wife's Chicken with Rice bowl, also chef curated, was more in line with my taste, but the Feta and the Kalamata Olives was again a little over the top, being the saltiest I have ever tasted. My concern based on other area restaurant experiences, is that standard operating procedures might not have been followed to a "T" as it relates to the quantity of the items added to these two bowls. Possibly, food preparation recipes had not been properly followed? All in all, I would give Cava a second try, but would definitely build my own bowl like I do at Chipotle, and try to figure out my likes and dislikes. I probably will be asking for samples of toppings prior to selection, to hopefully insure a better dining experience. I will definitely be passing on the arugula, and be adding the romaine instead. I have definitely found that froufrou salad toppings are not in my wheelhouse. With that said, I appreciate the specialty drinks that Cava has created, but I'm just not a fan of floral tastes in my drink selections either. With that said, the blueberry lavender juice, will definitely not be on my shopping list on my next visit. The lemonade was solid, the strawberry citrus juice was decent, the mint cucumber lime I did not sample. The experience of setting down in the dining room, only to find food particles swept onto the seats was also disappointing for a rather new restaurant chain hoping to build out its footprint in the US. The value of this first visit I would have to rate as low, considering a $36 price tag for 2 meals that was not very satisfying. Especially, when you consider the fact that these were both chef curated entree selections, and only minimal items were added that did not cause the over the top flavor profile. I have dined at several Mediterranean restaurants in the past, and this was definitely not remotely reminiscent of any of those experiences, and definitely not in a good way. The concept is definitely enticing, but delivering on a great Mediterranean experience needs work, and possibly better R& D. Will update review after next visit.

Took our beverage orders, returned quickly with those and water. She told us the specials which we passed on. Fred ordered fried oysters platter, I ordered an à la carte crab cake and oysters Rockefeller. Our food arrived quickly. Fried oysters were plentiful and crispy. House made chips were crunchy and delicious. My crab cake was wonderful - as close to a Maryland crab cake as I've had in a long time. Lump crab, very little bread crumbs, pan fried and served with a dollop of hollandaise. It needed some Old Bay seasoning. The Rockefeller Oysters were delicious. Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. I'd definitely return!

The outside is great for families or for a date night. They have a section where they have an outside bar so you can be by the water. They also have a small stage that I'm sure they have music outside. So we started off with drinks and some appetizers. We had the calamari, street corn dip and the margarita. We had the steak with a side order of shrimp, had the Big chill burger with an extra side the Hawaiian pasta salad and the Big Chill Island salad with chicken. Service was good. The apps were tasty and if you like spicy hot it was good. The steak and shrimp was good and flavorful, the burger was good but not the pasta salad. It was not good, that even my daughter didn't like it. As for my Big Chill Island salad was also a disappointment. Not sure what it was but the flavors just didn't go well together. I always like to give places a second try so we might come back and I will try another dish.

Let me start this review by saying the ONLY reason I'm giving this three stars is because our…read moreserver Abby A. was phenomenal! We had a reservation for 6:45 pm and arrived a little after 6:30. Almost everyone in the group went to the bar to wait and was told someone would come for them when the table was ready. I stopped in another store on the way in to the restaurant, so I was a few minutes behind. When I came in, I told the hostess that I'm meeting the rest of my party who is potentially already seated, if she could direct me to where. I gave her the name it was under, and she said they weren't checked in yet. I thought it was strange, but it was almost 6:45 and thought we should still be fine. I texted them to let them know what I was told-they DID check in, so I told the hostess I would wait until the table was ready with her so I could let the rest of my party know. I waited until 7:00 and asked her if we were still waiting for a table or if they were waiting for the rest of my party to come out front and she said she would go check. She came back and said that there still wasn't a table ready and we'd have to wait about 15 more minutes. I joined the rest of my group and went back up front since no one came to get us and asked again. We are now approaching an hour past our reservation and she had seated several other big groups one of which specifically told me they did not have a reservation. I got a little frustrated and let it be known and we were finally seated right about 7:45. If it wasn't for the fact that we had two small children with us that were losing their mind, I would've been fine, even if I was annoyed. When we were finally seated, we were fortunately greeted with a wonderful server, Abby A. I was not overly thrilled with the choices of food on the menu, but we had 6 adults and everyone found something and they were all famished, so I couldn't get many pictures. We ordered the street corn dip (delicious), crab hushpuppies (probably would have been really good had they not been so overcooked/on the verge of burnt) and island fries (I didn't try because 2 of the adults were tearing from the peppers) As for entrees, I settled for the steak skewers, which were well cooked, and tasted OK. I opted to get asparagus instead of the broccolini, but it was WAY overcooked, flavorless, and soggy. I wish I thought to ask for some other than fries because the 2 I tried weren't worth eating. Others ordered chicken peanut mango salad (good), Hawaiian Kalua pork (enjoyed), Capera Island salmon (done well), low country pasta added shrimp (shrimp was cooked nicely), and hamburger kids meal...thinner that McDonald's! She didn't even want to eat the burger "slice". The food was decent, but not nearly good enough for me to ever go back after waiting over an hour our time for a reservation that was made over a week ago without any apologies or even checking in on us. If I hadn't kept checking back, I don't think we would've been seated for a while. I could've spent about $400 somewhere else and had better food and treated with more respect while waiting for our LATE reservation.
