This quant resturant is nestled into the side of a Circle K gas station and you would not expect a restaurant to be. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated. This small but mighty restaurant is clean and welcoming, with spices and herbs wafting from the kitchen. We ordered fried oakra, hummus, veggie pitta with a side salad and lemon potatoes. The food came out quickly, my favorite was the fried oakra. The tomato sauce it's served with had warm spices, making it unique. read more

Searched out a Mediterranean place on Yelp for the area I was in and this place had solid reviews. If you judged the appearance of the location only, you may not have wanted to stop here as it's located near a gas station and a few other shops. The restaurant is quaint inside and can accommodate many during lunch and they were busy. We were seated near the back. We ordered the gyros one with chicken and one traditional with beef and lamb. I ordered the beef and loved it. It was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The sauce was plentiful and the blend of toppings just right. I always ask for no onions and the pita bread was nice and soft. We enjoyed our lunch here. The prices are a bit high though. This seems to be the trend lately - lunch with an iced tea and tip $35.00 average. read more

i like the food and have been going their for years, but things have gotten worse their. Need more help the waitress who is their is great but the kitchen is slow, unorganized with their order system. The smoke from the kitchen ends up in dinning room, A/C was not working great last year, worse this year and was cooler outside then in. Waited over 1 hour for our food and one dinner came out 15 min after the other . The food not as good as use to be portions are smaller. The also have same person cleaning tables and serving you food without washing their hands. Dont sit back corner thats where kitchen door and all the dirty dishes are and bathroom. A/C terrible back their. Wont be going back anytime soon, sorry but 2 bad experiences. Dont like to be that person who gives bad review. read more

Quick and friendly service. Authentic Greek food. Generous portions. Love that the menu has GF options clearly labeled too!

Lovely ambience, fresh, well made Greek Food. My husband had the gyro and the eggplant appetizer (wish I could have a bite but I'm gluten intolerant). He said it was delicious! Great gyro salad and old bay wings! Best service and easy parking , looking forward to trying the new diverse menu!!

I don't normally do this but the owners need a wake up call for their business acumen. Ive been to Greece numerous times and found the folks there welcoming and cheerful. Greek folks in Greece bend over backwards to ensure you have a warm and welcome experience in their restaurants. The owners and operators of the Bistro are to put it bluntly...cheapskates. They serve a salad with their platters with one ounce of dressing. If you ask for more, they charge you a dollar for another one ounce portion. Soup Nazi has nothing on these folks and olive garden looks like a great deal compared to this establishment. In addition, they are ripping off wine customers. The wife and I witnessed the server being scolded by the owner for using a 6 oz glass to pour 6 oz of wine into their ridiculously small wine glasses. The owner stated she poured too much into their ridiculously small glass and said to stop using the 6 oz glass. It's a classic rip-off. Owners should be ashamed and stop pinching pennies. Maybe that's why it was empty on a Friday night 6:30 PM. That being said...the food is good, hence the 2 stars. read more

Mediterranean Bistro - Vinegar and oil worth a dollar? Olive Garden does better. - Mediterranean Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

My family and I were looking for restaurants that accommodated gluten and dairy free diets. A quick Yelp search brought us to this place. As others have stated, this bistro is a "hole in the wall" kind of place- next to a gas station and easily missed. But do not judge this book by its cover! We made reservations though at the time we went I don't think we had to. Do you need reservations? No, but it can't hurt. They had the table waiting for us when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Waitress was super nice and quick. She accommodated our requests for gluten and dairy free (for one of us). My sister and I devoured the spanakopita and pita bread. So so good. The hummus was delicious - not oily and tasty. The highlight was the chicken platter. The chicken was soo tender. For some, it may be a bit salty, but since I love salt, I was ok with it. The platter came with a Greek salad which was fresh with lots of veggies. The tzatziki sauce was perfect with a good balance of dill and cucumber. All in all, I would definitely come here again and recommend it to anyone looking for something different and away from the crowds and tourist traps! read more

This was by far the best authentic Mediterranean food I have had. It was full of flavor and the desserts (baklava and tiramisu) were incredible. Our server was friendly and helpful. We did not expect this to be a nice, sit down restaurant based on the exterior of the building, but it had a lovely ambiance. read more

This is hands down the best gyro I've had. From the fluffy, soft, well seasoned pita bread to the fresh crispy hot fries. Absolutely chefs kiss. Food was absolutely delicious!!!! I wish we lived closer and we could eat here all the time!

We came here due to reviews. Pulled up into a gas station parking lot and say well it has great reviews. We walk in and it is an oasis. Beautifully done on the inside. Great ambiance. Ordered the pork gyro and the lemon soup. Fries are $3 extra. Comes w chips. Not a fan of anything w chips : ) Looks family run based on the momma running the kitchen and waitress seemed like family. Very authentic. Definitely made to order as it took a little bit for food to arrive. 10-15 min. Not bad but not in and out fast. Food came out separate for my wife and I. Substantial difference between her food and mine. I noticed that process for multiple tables. Wife said lemon soup was like chicken noodle w lemon. Very good! Side of pita bread was warm and seasoned well. Pork gyro was very good. The filling of salad, tomato, taziki and other items were mouth watering. I would likely get the lamb and beef next time. Pork was good but a little dry. A touch overcooked. Food, ambiance and greeting 5 star. Service from being served substantially different w wife waiting to eat for me to get food a 4 and pork gyro was like a 4.5 only due to a touch dry. Bottom line. EAT HERE! It was a pleasure. read more

Omg I'm greek and it reminds me of my yiayia meals. From the iced greek coffee to their gyos

We came here to eat a healthy meal as yesterday was bbq day and we were still feeling the effects. When you walk in, I thought to myself, "Oh boy another diner". We sat down and met our waitress. She was very nice. We ordered a tzatziki appetizer along with 2 small like 4 oz cups of hummus and baba ghanoush. We also ordered a lemon soup chicken salad and chicken platter. The soup was good. Not the best I had but good. The tzatziki was also good not great but good. The hummus was different. Not your typical texture as it was more wet paste and not the dry paste. A lot of lemon. Chicken came out and was delicious. Moist and delicious. The salad was good but basic. Overall delicious meal. I'd say this place got a 4.5 score. The only thing I saw was a cake being cut up from a store when I thought maybe everything was homemade. read more

I loved all their food and the service was excellent. The only thing is it's a bit too steep for my pocket. I went back a second time anyway. The first time I bought for takeout the SAMPLER DINNER $28.99 Pastichio, mousaka, gyro meat, grilled chicken, souvlaki, pita and Greek salad and Tzatziki. It was delicious but for me it was too expensive. Since I've had them before in New York City, I had to have the PASTICHIO $18.99. Thick noodles, meat sauce, and bechamel sauce. Served with Greek salad and pita And the MOUSSAKA $18.99 for Eggplant, potatoes, meat sauce, and bechamel sauce. Served with a Greek salad and pita. Everything tastes as good as the description. Superb! I just wish that they weren't so expensive for me. Don't be put off by the fact that they're in a little strip mall with a gas station. I think they must've been there before the gas station was but I'm not sure. read more

This little restaurant, tucked into a strip mall in Myrtle Beach, is a hidden gem. The food is OUTSTANDING. The waitstaff, especially Jennifer, is attentive and personable, and the manager, Yanni, makes you feel like you've come home when you walk through the door. The Greek wine is interesting, the grilled chicken and gyro mixture of beef and lamb are delicious, but the blackened wild-caught salmon was among the best I've ever tasted. If it wasn't for online reviews, we'd never find this place. Situated between a BBQ joint and a gas station, this little gem doesn't shine from the outside... But, oh does the food inside make up for this! With about 10 tables inside this little strip-mall setup, the doors never stopped opening for people picking up take-out. We were seated quickly and given menus. They are simple... Appetizers, salads, mains and desserts on a two-sided menu. My wife has the gyro salad, I had the souvlaki dinner with the house salad. I've been to Greece... This was just like being in the Old World! Simple, clean and above all... Tasty! The multitude of 5 Star reviews are not wrong! Don't spend your time in line waiting for a chain restaurant dinner that tastes the same as in your local town. Eat here instead! read more
