Most restaurants toss middle eastern cuisine into a big pile and call it all the same, however, at Lokum you get the FULL Turkish experience. Lokum means "Turkish Delight" after all. My husband is from İstanbul, and I am half Turkish/grew up in the USA. We both absolutely ADORED the people who run this amazing establishment. They were so sweet and running around making sure everyone had their needs met. The food is made fresh to order, so be prepared to wait and don't be a prude- It's delicious food just like mom makes it. Additionally, it IS halal. Everything we ordered was 10/10. Even the Döner was very close to what is served in Türkiye. The künefe was the best we've ever had in a restaurant, and it's made traditionally. The hospitality, the friendly faces, the delicious food- All worth giving a try- and ALL at a price you cannot beat, especially in this economy! I highly suggest trying the Ayran (salted yogurt drink). It is hand made and very good. If you're not used to it, you may not like it though, but this is the best place to try it! This is one of the best places in the entire South to get accustomed to Turkish culture, and we will definitely be back for the Lahmacun when we visit again. They do make it, but sell out early! If you're not into culture, they serve pizza- and it's fabulous. I was hoping the pepperoni would be sucuk but it is halal beef. Still so very tasty! Çok güzel!

The falafel was ok, but I am very judgmental as I love my local shop. I was very happy to see vegan options within walking distance. I ordered a side of hummus and pitta, not on the menu and wow!! We were a larger group & it was becoming difficult to find a restaurant that pleased everyone, until we stopped at Abraham's. Since 1992 they have been serving Greek food plus a variety of burgers, sandwiches, chicken, pizza, hot dogs, salads & even vegetarian falafel...all reasonably priced too. The friendly owner took our orders at the counter & brought our food out to us. He never asked for a name but somehow remembered who got what. The owner was warm & welcoming. Between all of us we mostly has the pizza, burgers & chicken dishes. Everything was yummy. We ate outside on the patio & enjoyed the beautiful ocean view & breeze. This was a fun stop with good food!

We decided to give Bombay at the beach a try, and oh we certainly loved the food and the service. We ordered the chai, madras coffee along with samosas, some onion pakoras and paneer pakoras. The chai was like a warm hug for our souls, and the hot flavorful pakoras left us all content. Our fav among them was paneer pakora. Besides the food, Mr. Prakash's stellar service made our dining experience memorable. Nothing extraordinary about the ambiance but we loved the food, hence we returned the following evening for more chai and pakoras. So, if you're in Myrtle Beach and craving authentic Indian snacks, look no further. The food here is pretty good, and Mr. Prakash's service adds that extra sparkle.

It is not easy to find Uzbek cuisine in America, espeically in smaller towns like Myrtle Beach…read more This one is thus a surprising addtion to the international dining experience at the beach. This hidden gem is located on Kings Hwy, with exotic decor inside and many big tables for large group dining. I went there two times during my three-day visit to MB. Tried their Grilled quails, Uzbek bread, Uzbek mushroom soup, and of course, Lamb pilaf. Overall, the seasoning of dishes are not as heavy as most restaurants, but more homemade-style, especially the grilled stuff like that quail and side of veggie. Simple, not salty, but full of the flavor from the ingredients -- the umami of quail meat, the sweetness of peppers, sweet-bitterness of brussels sprouts, etc. The staff told me that his mom cooked the food lol. For other things, the Uzbek bread look like a huge bagel, had very desne texture, but its outside was crispier than bagels. The mushroom soup had a special flavor from possibly some herbs. The Lamb pilaf was delicious and filling: six chuncks of fork-tender meat, lots of perfectly cooked rice soaked in lamb fat, and refreshing carrot slices. I wish there could be yellow carrots as well, but the staff told me that it was difficult to get them in MB. The restaurant undoubtedly did not have a "good" dining vibe for me because it was too quiet. In fact, I was the only customer in the restaurant the second time I visited it. I was told that during tourist seasons the restaurant is packed with ppl but I doubt it. Anyway, it is a restaurant worth trying in MB if you are looking for some special dining experience there.

Ofcourse I had to google Indian restaurant near…read moreme and we found this... though reviews were okay but I was craving Indian food, so decided to go. ? There was only 1 server and owner. What's with Indian restaurants and their lack of staff? I have seen this trend throughout the coast and it irritates me, waiting for simple items like napkins, or water or if I have to order again- in short service was terrible I have seen that they declined customers because the tables were not cleaned. Anyway, we ordered- * Egg fried rice: simple yet tasty * Chili chicken: indo Chinese style dish which was good- 4/5 * Chicken biryani: well, it's not a typical biryani (like dum cooked or any other variance), it's more like chicken pulav (gravy mixed with rice type)- but it was sumptuous. 4/5 They have spicy levels up to 10 and I choose 8. Surprisingly, the food was good, no doubt about that. But service/parking disappointed me Parking: there are only 6 spots and it was full, I am not sure what to do if you don't find parking as it is on main road so street parking is not an option either Overall 3.5/5

I had Filet Hibachi with Vegetables and Fried Rice . In my opinion it was good . But too much sauce and Fried Rice had nothing in it and was plain rice fried . No onion, or egg or anything. You should know they charge 18 % for tip and don't tell you wouldn't want you to pay tip twice . I don't like places that decide for you what you're going to tip. Tipping should be and always has been up to the consumer . That should never change . Over all it's a good meal .

I typically don't order rolls, my go-to is a sashimi platter, but they didn't offer one, which was a big disappointment. At that point, I wasn't sure what to order, so I ended up getting a couple of rolls along with some sashimi pieces. Unfortunately, everything was pretty mediocre, at best. Hamachi sashimi pieces were good, but way too small. =(( When we arrived, we told the hostess we'd like to sit outside. She told us to seat ourselves at any table. After sitting down, no one came to check on us, no server, no hostess, no one. Eventually, my boyfriend had to go ask for service. Regarding the ambiance, I can't speak for the inside, but the outdoor seating, where we sat, consisted of just a few picnic tables. Our bill came out to a little over $100. They had already added an automatic gratuity (I believe 18% or 20%), and then still prompted for an additional tip with suggested amounts like 18%, 20%, and 25%, which felt excessive. To top it off, I was still hungry when we left. Some people seem to like this place OK, but for myself, I will not be returning.
