    Uzbek pilaf: yummy!!!
    Ben P.

I was watching travel video blogs about Uzbekistan which featured food. I was just riding along Hwy 17 and spotted Caravan. Turned around and was happy that the first item recommended was the Uzbek pilaf. Ordered to go, went to the park where they play pickleball and thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. Will be back to try more. Recommended!

My husband and I are visitors here in Myrtle Beach and saw the 5 star ratings here on Yelp and decided to go here for dinner. We were so glad we did!! My husband ordered a rice pilaf dish with carrots and I got the lamb on shank bone with quinoa and veggies. Both were delicious!! Presentation was attractive too. And you must try the dessert - Medovik! So so good!! The owner, Tim, was very friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. The decor featured beautiful items from Uzbekistan and the music very soothing. We highly recommend this restaurant!

You need to try this place! The food and flavors are incredible! The eggplant plant caviar may not sound that fancy but it is delicious! The stuff cabbage are not going to be what you expect but are truly excellent. The rice pilaf is to die for. We took Manti's and Baklava home can't wait to try them.

The duck legs were so good, and the honey cake was perfectly made! The guy who was serving us was super nice, and delivered us the food really fast. I loved the ambiance of the place it was super cozy. It is a must go if you are in Myrtle beach SC.

We had never had Uzbek food before and happily came across Caravan and it was DELICIOUS! The server/host/owner? Was phenomenal, everything he recommended was perfect. We had the pirogies, beef stroganoff. , Uzbek pilaf and honey cake dessert (forgot the name). Highly recommend! Phenomenal service and food.

First of all, we were welcomed and enchanted by gracious & convivial hosts Tim & Nikita. Enjoyed every minute just interacting with them...and then WOW! Such luscious food. The 4 of us shared THE best hummus (ever; seriously) and the spicy carrot app--which we finished as a "side" with our entrees. We each ordered a different dish and shared. All absolutely fresh, tasty, and memorable, as we've never eaten this cuisine before. We 4 then shared 2 scrumptious homemade desserts--both light/complex/satisfying and not too sweet. SUCH a memorable dinner. Top quality. DO give Caravan a try and you will definitely have a dining experience "to write home about" (or, at the least, leave another rave review on YELP...and recommend to friends who enjoy a dining adventure).

Having lived in a community of Crimean Tatars and Uzbeks for over a decade, I can say this is truly authentic and high quality food! Don't be afraid to try it, you won't be disappointed! Timor and Nikita will take care of you!

We stopped at Captain George's Seafood Restaurant and it ended up being a great experience…read more It's about $50 for an all-you-can-eat buffet, which I'm usually hesitant about because I don't always eat enough to make it worth it--but this is a seafood buffet with crab legs (my favorite), so we decided to go for it. And it did not disappoint. The crab legs were the highlight--always stocked, served warm, and cooked really well. I tried a few other items that were just okay, nothing super standout, but for a buffet the quality of the crab legs alone made it worth it. We waited about 20 minutes in line to be seated, which wasn't bad, but just a heads up--there wasn't really anywhere to sit while waiting, so that could be a bit tough for anyone who needs accommodations. The desserts were also pretty good, and the place itself is huge. I loved the design details--everything has a nautical/boat theme, even the buffet stations and tables, which made it feel unique compared to other buffets. Service was great. We just had water, but staff constantly came around refilling drinks, clearing plates, and taking away crab leg shells, which made the whole experience smooth. Overall, we left full and very happy--definitely worth it if you're a crab leg fan!

Whoever thought to make it savory instead of sweet missed the mark. The flavors of the slaw clashed with the rest of the plate. The fish was tasty and the chips were seasoned well and plentiful. The crab legs were delicious, two clumps with butter and lemons. We also had the shrimp and fries- 8 large shrimp lightly breaded with shoestring fries. Our land lover enjoyed the Reel burger- a juicy combination of chuck and brisket cooked to order. The bun was toasted and held up well to the burger. Overall the experience was very enjoyable. They have a full gluten free menu. The kids menu also includes seafood which I appreciate for my seafood loving crew. I ordered the Fry Basket with Shrimp and Oysters. I honestly didn't take great pictures because we were too busy eating! It was a very busy day the day we were there bc of the Kentucky derby party but we were still seated quickly and our food came out fairly quickly. They take a lot of precautions when dealing with allergies and it was appreciated. They even identify that it is gluten free when they deliver the food as well. This year, in thinking ahead, we made reservations to ensure we'd have a table at a time convenient for us without a wait. Absolute heaven! As usual, I began with a margarita and She Crab soup. Their soup is my favorite. The hushpuppies that they bring to the table and the butter that accompanies them cannot be beat. Hubs had the shrimp and grits and he loved it. It reminds him of his mom's which is the highest compliment he could ever give. This is the only place we came to eat twice while down here so bravo. I will tell you that the drink options are great and the portions are large. Great unique kids entertainment as well with your kids placement (Wicky sticks) my OT wife LOVED that they do this. The wildcard is speed of service. Both times the girls were great but the second time, man was this young lady in the weeds and she wasn't even getting hammered by her section size. I don't think she had a lot of experience and was likely new so I won't judge too hard butt you have to be able to read the room when you are dealing with people with kids. When families with young kids get done you got to get them out of there. Our daughter is very patient lucky for this place but we waited almost 20 minutes to close out.
