I love Middle Eastern food, and a coworker recently recommended a local restaurant where I tried…read moretheir chicken shawarma pita. It was absolutely fantastic. After looking into the restaurant, I was excited to learn that it's owned by the same person behind Jerusalem Café, where I've also had great experiences. As someone who advocates for Palestinian human rights, I try to be intentional about where I spend my money. I don't have any issue with Jewish people--in fact, my own ancestry includes Ashkenazi Jewish heritage, and I'm also Muslim, so I prefer to support halal restaurants whenever I can. My concern is specifically about whether a business supports Zionism or provides financial or public support for the Israeli government. I recognize that being Jewish and being Zionist are not the same thing. I've reached out to the owner several times because I'd rather ask directly than make assumptions. So far, I haven't received a response. Based on the research I've done, I haven't found any public statements or evidence that the restaurant supports either side or financially supports Israel, which I view as a positive sign. However, until I can get clarification, I'm going to put this restaurant on hold. I'm sharing this in the hope that the owners might see it and respond. If your position is one of neutrality, or if you do not support the Israeli government's actions, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing that directly. I simply want to make informed, ethical choices about where I spend my money.

Everything we had was delicious, and you get a good variation from the menu. The tasting menu is a great value for the cost and you leave with enough food for another meal for the next day. The vibes are great, it could be a great date night spot or a place to bring a group of friends. I already can't wait to bring more friends back to try!! Brittany (spelling, sorry!) was a wonderful server!! Brittany was very helpful and explained the menu well, made great recommendations, told us about the traditional ways the dishes are made, and answered our table's Star Wars related questions based on the little Easter eggs around the restaurant. Everyone we interacted with at the restaurant was so sweet and helpful.

Since we are ALWAYS looking for that curry fix, finally getting here felt like arriving at masala heaven. Why waste your tastebud experience eating seafood that you can pretty much find ANYWHERE locally at ANYTIME? Do something different, and walk fast to this corner restaurant hitting all the spice right. No, it's not too "hot". Yes, you can customize. Maybe, you should order everything.

They had no problem coming to the table repeatedly with chicken, sausage, and pork, but getting an actual cut of steak felt like I had to beg for it. At a Brazilian steakhouse. Think about that. The service wasn't much better. Whether the staff were intentionally ignoring us or were simply inattentive, the result was the same: we were constantly overlooked. The waitress came to Our table once and we never got the chance to order drinks. For a restaurant charging premium steakhouse prices, both the food and the level of service were below basic expectations. You'll probably realize something is off as soon as you walk in. This does not have the experience, quality, selection, or service I associate with a legitimate Brazilian steakhouse. The best comparison I can make is a slightly more upscale Golden Corral charging Brazilian-steakhouse prices. I came here expecting unlimited quality cuts of steak. Instead, I got an endless parade of cheaper meats and had to practically beg for the thing I actually came for. Extremely disappointing. Premium prices, mediocre food, poor service, and nowhere near the Brazilian steakhouse experience I expected. Don't waste your time or your money.
