It was rather dry given the size bun and size sandwich What's not good I got a salami and Muenster. The meat tasted off, it wasn't good. Couldn't get past a few bites. The sandwich fell apart and it was difficult to eat. The portion of coleslaw was pretty tiny for $2...Think condiment container for dipping. Service time took a bit. 10-15min for the sandwiches to be made. There was as one other couple in there besides us when we went 30 min before close (2:30) They were out of bagels, croissants, pasta salad, maybe other things but that's what we would've gotten. Overall, based on this one experience I wouldn't go back. The employee said they had a rush earlier that day, maybe they would've normally had the things they were out of. Idk. A true blue NJ deli and you can tell these guys and gals know what they're doing based on the clientele. I was in search of a bagel and came across JB&S. I ordered the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on Egg Everything and noticed they had a Chipotle Chicken Sub on special so snagged that, too. Y'all, this half a sub was ginormous and so packed full of delicious Boars' Head meats, plus a drink and chips for $10. Can't beat it! The bagel was super tasty and fresh (we saw them making them there!) The staff is also so nice and efficient. I love the old school decor and it's a perfect spot for NY Giants fans! Even an Eagles, Cowboys, or Commanders fan would appreciate this spot, though ;). It's a little off the beaten path if you're staying on the Grand Strand (this is definitely a locals spot), but totally worth it! read more

We went here for breakfast while visiting Myrtle Beach. Based on the reviews we gave them a try. Walked in to an old time feel and decor. The staff were nice. However the bagel not so much. I had the pork roll w/ egg and cheese. Good flavor cook properly. However the star off the show just didn't perform well. The bagel didn't have a great chew and seemed fairly old. Good bagels are hard to come by in South Carolina or anywhere outside of NY or NJ for that matter. But my mission the morning I came to to Jersey Bagels and Subs wasn't to get bagels but to get Kaiser buns. My wife and I had a hankering for bacon, egg, cheese on a roll and finding a good hard roll is pretty tough in this area but we found this place on Yelp. I got to the store about the time they opened. It's a typical old style delicatessen / bagel shop that serves Boars Head Cold Cuts with their offerings in the deli case in front. There are several tables all around and for the most part it's a great little place that makes you feel welcome. I got to the counter and asked for some Kaiser rolls and it turns out that the they make their hard rolls themselves but only enough for sandwiches which they serve to their customers. However, they lady behind the counter was nice enough to sell me two. Now granted, I could have ordered two bacon, egg, and cheese on rolls and taken them home but we live an hour away and they would have gotten cold. Anyway, the rolls were out of this world delicious. I also took home 1/2 dozen bagels which were fantastic as well. I definitely found my go to bagel shop in Myrtle Beach. read more

First if all, menu is so bad. I can get a complex turkey sandwich but no lox and capers? Second of all, half our bagels tasted stale. 1 person working register and is super slow, bad attitude, and made a rude noise when I changed 1 thing on my order. Also, none of my bagels were toasted or warmed! Who wants a cold bagel!? Terrible bagel place and would rather go to a franchise over this poor attempt to profit off the Jersey name. read more

We just moved from Colorado and stopped in for breakfast/lunch. Husband had the turkey, ham and cheese with the works sandwich. I had the egg, sausage and cheese on an everything bagel. It was so good! The sandwich was big enough for two. The ingredients were fresh and tasted great. We came back the next day with our son-in-law for lunch. Jersey Bagels and Subs is a hidden gem. I was going to give this place a 3 star rating but I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. I have been coming here for years & never was I ever so disappointed. So when I got to the counter I ask if they had hard rolls & 2 girls answered yes & soft rolls. I said 2 hard rolls with egg, bacon, sausage & cheese & one with ketchup & mayo. They must of changed owners or something because this is NOT anywhere close to being a Jersey hard roll this is a southern soft roll with everything I asked for except they put extra Mayo & NO ketchup. Being they put extra & I mean extra Mayo that's all I could taste. I could of made this better & cheaper at home. I am from Long Island & was craving for a hard roll & didn't get it. Had a pork roll, egg & cheese on a roll yesterday with a small coffee. $8 & change, It was ok, have had better here. Was there again this morning & realized I had forgotten my wallet & asked if they took Apple Pay. I had people behind me & allowed 2 gentleman to order while I fumbled through my phone. I ordered the same thing & then was unable to complete the transaction as the 2 counter employees were unable to help either. Old tech there BTW. So with my coffee on the counter & my order in the works (3 minute exchange at the most) I asked if I could pay on way back from my place near the high school since I just moved into the neighborhood. Ok? ask the Boss. He said, why don't you just go back to get your wallet because "I don't know you from Adam"! Wearing a Vietnam Veteran cap, this non homeless looking 77 yr old was dispatched over $8 & change which I presume The Boss indignantly or happily ate himself. Bagels as so-so, certainly not worth $15/doz. Outside the toppings, there is no taste. There is not enough salt in the batter and I'm sure there is no molasses used as a true NY (better) Bagel would be made. And forget about boiling them as the traditional method. Been looking for a good deli in the MB area and finally found one! Place is relatively dark and dated on the inside which adds to the ambiance. Ordered the Italian which was incredible- tons of meat and toppings- by far the best sub in MB. Will definitely be back! read more

The wife and I stopped in for a breakfast bagel this morning. Most awesome! Great bagel, and even though it was just sausage, egg and cheese, it was perfect. We have been here before the covid, and have been waiting for things to open up before venturing out, especially down Rt 501 in the summertime! It's usually a winter time visit when the rude people from NY and NJ have left. I see by the reviews, they don't appreciate hard work, great food, and nice people. We always get great service here. Now, I'm never in a hurry, because you can't hurry good food. The place has enough nice atmosphere where you can feel comfortable and still hear people sitting at your table!!
