As a visitor for the week, I was looking to find a good cafe to start my morning off with, and everything I found here at Main Street Cafe far exceeded my expectations. The customer service is great, as with every customer I saw, including myself, we all received great service from everyone working at the Cafe. The food is delicious, especially the bagels. The atmosphere is great, thanks to the workers; they make your mornings not feel bland but joyous. Lastly, the owner of the store made my experience as pleasant as possible, helping me with great customer service and addressing any issues I was having on my trip. Walked here from our rental place. Short walk for some delicious breakfast and coffee. I got a large iced coffee with cream and toasted marshmallow syrup. The bagels were perfect. Really good cream cheese flavor options. You can get breakfast meat and eggs on them too. They also had some pretty amazing looking muffins. Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite. Wow. Just wow. I got off of 17 and headed in their direction. To be sure of where I was going I pulled over and called them to ask why they were next to. Sooooo this place has SO much potential! Main Street North Myrtle Beach, with so many people around as customers. The only coffee shop in walking distance from many of the local hotels. Walking distance to McLean Park, too! They offer coffee, cold coffee/espresso drinks, breakfast sandwiches, bagels with assorted cream cheese, pastries, sandwiches and soups. I stopped in around 10am on a Thursday- yes, this is Easter week but the beach isn't overly crowded. 4 people were ahead of me in line, and that's when it started moving like molasses! Most people were ordering bagels or breakfast sandwiches. When they were ready the employees didn't know where they were going (it wasn't THAT busy)... so they were yelling out and wandering. Very slow on preparation. 3 total employees working, which would seem to be enough but it was a struggle. I ordered an iced Americano which seemed to be a less than often request. It did not taste good at all. I'm not sure what i was actually given. I can't speak of food options because I didn't try any. Cute spot with potential- 3 or 4 inside tables as well as outdoor seating. Great spot to people watch Main St and steps away from Ocean drive. My husband and I stumbled upon this little cafe on an early morning walk during a recent trip to NMB. We ended up coming back three days in a row. The owner is a sweetheart and makes the best iced coffee. My husband and I both had made to order bagel sandwiches and really enjoyed them. I had the jalapeño bagel with egg and cheese and my husband had a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagels were toasted but still soft and easy to eat. The egg was freshly fried and was a perfect complement to the melted cheddar. The next time we visited we both had toasted bagels with flavored cream cheese: me again with the jalapeño bagel and scallion cream cheese. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town and grab a sandwich for the beach. read more

It was one of the worst coffee's I tasted in 10 years. They need to up their game with it since they are pretty much only "coffee shop" there. I've been patronizing Main Street Cafe' for a few years. Although I found it expensive, I was willing to pay the price. Today I opted to purchase a breakfast sandwich, however, when it was delivered to me, I noticed the meat was wrong and I mentioned that to the server. She offered to make me another one and I said no that's fine. I'll eat it as it is. I had already waited 15 minutes and I really didn't want it to be a hassle for her nor did I wish to wait any longer. When I opened my sandwich, I realized the cheese was American cheese, which I find disgusting. When I mentioned this to her, she said they were out of provolone, which is what I had ordered. I'm not sure why she didn't tell me that and give me an option before making my sandwich, however, she did not. Anyway, when I mentioned this to her, she offered to make another one and I said I appreciate that, but no thank you. I really don't have any more time to wait, please just give me back my money. At that point somebody else got involved, who I believe to be the owner. She was very snippy with me and finally gave me back my money after she verified that I had paid $9.31 + tip for a breakfast sandwich! When she gave me the money back, I said I'm sorry... She said that's OK. To which I retorted, you should say, you're sorry. Behind me, an individual who apparently is related or affiliated with this individual, said you better watch your mouth! We were out strolling and they had a lunch special advertised of a grilled cheese sandwich and soup for $5.99, we decided to try it. The soup was AMAZING. It was a white bean, cheese, chicken chili. It was so hearty that I couldn't eat half of the sandwich. This is the first day of vacation. My husband said he'd go to lunch there every day if we could get that soup. There are three people working and they do not communicate to each other whatsoever. Has so much potential but there are many things wrong. First of all all the workers were not wearing gloves and would touch the money and handle the register then make food the one lady was also wearing rings while making food. Lots of cross contamination going on over here. I also asked for a hot latte with 2 pumps of vanilla and got an iced coffee with 6 pumps of vanilla. They also charge more if you use your card.
