Fresh bread.

Benjamin's is now my favorite breakfast spot in Surfside. We got there mid morning on a Saturday and the place was packed. The line to order was wrapped around the dining room but it moved quickly. While in line you can check out the walls lined with baked goods that they make in house. After we placed our orders, they gave us a number to set on a table outside and they brought it to the table. I had the Lotsa Lox bagel which came with cream cheese, capers, and of course lox. It was a delicious bagel. My wife loved her BEC bagel. I definitely recommend sitting outside if you come here as it's way too busy inside. Highly recommend Benjamin's.

We stopped at Benjamin's Bakery on our way back from Myrtle Beach and were thoroughly impressed. We ordered the egg and cheese sandwiches on New York-style Asiago cheese bagels, and they were exceptional. The bagels had a shiny crust with just the right amount of hardness and a beautiful glaze, while the eggs were cooked to perfection. We couldn't resist grabbing a paczki (a Polish donut), which is a rare find in South Carolina. We chose the Bavarian Cream, and it didn't disappoint--it was giant, fresh, moist, and surprisingly not overly sweet. I'd definitely return to try the Raspberry paczki next time. With great prices, a fantastic food selection, friendly staff and top-notch quality, Benjamin's is an easy 5-star experience.

Quaint little sandwich and bakery shop. Excellent breakfast bagel and traditional sandwiches. Indoor and outside seating. Delicious coffees as well. Even when the line is long, the service is qu Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Cute little bakery serving up delicious bagels, pastries, sandwiches, coffees, etc. service has always been impeccable...they go above and beyond. It does get very crowded inside so be prepared to wait a bit and be cramped, but it's worth it. Basic food, done well. What more can you ask for?

On a recommendation from my brother and sister in law, we tried Benjamin's one morning for breakfast while on family vacation. All I can say is wow. Not only is every menu item beautiful, they are also equally delicious. The bread on the sandwiches was extra soft which I loved and the combos of sandwiches and toppings were elite. Their pastries were also super yummy. I love coffee cake and this one was moist with a thick layer of crumble on top. The real show stopper was the apple fritter. Rich, buttery, and scrumptious is how I would describe this little gem of a treat. They have an efficient way of ordering at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. Indoor seating is limited. This will definitely be a regular breakfast spot for our family in the years to come!

Austin's Choice - Egg, Roasted Red Pepper, Provolone, Sausage with Jalapeno Roasted Red Pepper Mayo on a toasted Everything Bage

The staff at Benjamin's are so sweet and helpful. I had the Austin's choice breakfast sandwich. Egg, Roasted Red Pepper, Provolone, Sausage with Jalapeno Roasted Red Pepper Mayo on a toasted Everything Bage It was sooo good. The roasted red pepper along with the mayo was the perfect amount to enhance the sausage. The bagel was phenomenal. Perfectly toasted with great chew.

I love be Benjamins everything is good from their bagel sandwiches to their pastries. Everything is fresh and there's always a line even in the offseason. The food came out quick and it is worth taking a trip when in Surfside!

So good we went three times in two days. They have indoor and outdoor seating and ample parking around the store. Service was quick and staff kind. They additionally have to go breads, cookies and muffins. I have never heard of a bialy but now I need to find a way to get them shipped home to Charleston. It ate lighter than a bagel but with all the same flavor and texture. The breakfast sandwich cannot be missed with fresh ingredients but get it on the everything bialy. We got a variety of baked goods including the donut holes, dossant, black and white cookie and coffee cake + blueberry muffins. All were great with the coffee cake muffin and black and white cookie being our favorites. We also loved the iced coffees. Best part? The prices! All so reasonable we didn't feel guilty going back for lunch or ordering half the baked counter. This is a must stop when in Surfside.

I walked into the establishment, and the line is wrapped around to the door. This is my first indication of the popularity of this place! The business has a lot of staff behind the counter, patrons assigned numbers as they order. The staff are making food, drinks, and taking the complete orders out to patrons as they finish. This shows very efficient operations as line does move fast. There are many drink, and food choices! The decor is wonderful, vintage cameras, and cooking equipment. Excellent place!

A must everytime we are in town! The best bagels, breakfast sandwiches, coffees and even dog treats!

Menu board plenty of selections

Very small place, not enough tables, especially during tourist season. The seating area could be way more efficient. The Bagels and bakery items are fresh and delicious. The staff runs around shouting names, when they should buy an inexpensive PA system. We love going here for breakfast but stay away on weekends! They should find a larger place or blow out the wall next door for more room.

This is the extra au jus

First time customer and not impressed at all. Sandwich was flat and meat did not have much flavor, bun not toasted at all. I asked for extra au jus and they gave me what a 1/2 oz? I would hate to see what I would had gotten had I not asked. I hope they put more effort into there baked goods

Benjamins is a staple of our family vacations! We love a breakfast sandwich or a sweet pastry for breakfast. We highly recommend the mango smoothies, but they do come with whip cream so opt out if that's your preference!

First time trying, and honestly won't be back…read more I'll start with the good. Place was clean, the service was excellent and very friendly, albeit slow as it wasn't very busy on this off season week. The friendly service is what upped the stars. Ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a toasted everything with butter, and an iced coffee. Husband said coffee was good. We waited 25 min for something that should've taken less than 5. When it came out the everything wasn't toasted but we also didn't want to wait any longer. The bagels were definitely not boiled, and tasted like a piece of bread, not at all like a bagel. The size was ok, but for what we paid, just not worth it. I will stick to my rule of only eating bagels in NJ or north.

You stand in line to order and they bring the food to you when it's done. There's a dining room and a bar as well as patio seating. We ordered four bagels: one plain with grape jelly, one blueberry with strawberry jelly, one bacon egg and pepper jack on Asiago and one bacon, egg, American and bacon scallion cream cheese on jalapeño. We also order two coffees - one iced one hot, orange juice, a sunrise smoothie and a mimosa from the bar. Our sweets order was: donut holes, an Oreo donut and a cinnamon roll. The bagels were all very fresh and made perfectly. The coffees were custom orders and delicious - I had a hot cinnamon hazelnut coffee and it was an amazing combination! The donut holes were our favorite sweet! You could tell they were made fresh! The service was outstanding and the ambience was ideal. The kids loved watching the surfers on the big waves playing on the television! Definitely a must visit spot at OIB!

We enjoyed trying a wide variety of their bagel flavors, and every single one was delicious. The bacon, egg, and cheese bagel was scrumptious, and the bacon was always perfectly crispy. We also had the lox bagel with capers and thinly sliced red onions, which was absolutely fantastic. One thing I really appreciate is that they don't overload the bagels with cream cheese. The balance of flavors is just right, allowing the wonderful texture and freshness of the bagels to shine through. The staff was friendly and welcoming every time we visited. We even tried the Reuben breakfast sandwich, and it was unexpectedly delicious. If you haven't tried Bagel Port yet, do yourself a favor and give it a try. As a matter of fact, we were waiting for them to open at 7:00 a.m. on our last morning of vacation just to make sure we could enjoy their bagels one more time before heading home!

Not a huge deal but felt like I was there early enough in the day that they'd still have some, a few other flavors were already out too. Didn't love the coffee, but still 4 stars because the actual bagel was pretty good and looks like they have lots of good options for lunch.
