We ordered coffee, an omelet, and a scrambled egg sandwich. One of the things that attracted us was the restaurant's claim of being a scratch kitchen that uses premium ingredients. We were told they grind their own dark roast beans, which led me to expect an excellent cup of coffee. We specifically asked our server to make sure the onions were well caramelized, but they were not. Even more noticeable was the amount of bacon. It completely overwhelmed the dish--it felt more like bacon with a little egg than an omelet. Finally, the scrambled eggs on the sandwich weren't really scrambled at all. They were cooked as one solid sheet, more like a thin omelet. For a restaurant that specializes in breakfast, brunch, and lunch, consistently preparing eggs should be one of its strengths. I truly hope whoever oversees the kitchen takes these comments in the constructive spirit they're intended.
