The atmosphere is of course old time feel with some black and white TV shows like Lassie, Lone Ranger, etc. And the place is clean. You order at the counter and the staff will deliver it to your table. Not sure what to order, the staff was fantastic and knowledgeable! I wish that this was in Richmond Virginia! Went to Chuck Wagon for lunch. It's a bit hidden but overall worth a visit whether you're a local or a tourist. The staff was friendly and the inside is what I would describe as a western theme. Although known for their burgers, I went with the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. For not being as known for Chicken Sandwichs, I thought it was pretty solid. The only bit of feedback I'd say is that the buns made it very difficult to eat and got messy quick. read more

The restaurant was clean with many ways to customize your burger/sandwich. The chicken on these sandwiches are HUGE !! Portion sizes and quality were good for the burgers and sandwiches. Just a side of onion rings were a bit on the expensive side. The onion rings were a decent size but almost $6 for about 10 onion rings I think is a little excessive. a combo comes out to be around $15 depending on what you get, but you only get to choose from the tater portion on the menu not the actual sides portion. the burger itself is a decent price considering whats around in myrtle beach (around $11/12) then adding the taters & a drink for $5. read more

Best burger ever. Don't walk run and get you some!! Especially the Mac burger, mac & cheese was delicious clean and quick service

First and last meal at Chuck Wagon. First red flag should have been only one other customer in the middle of lunch time. Second should have been the sticky floor in the ordering area. But we pressed on. Ordered the Kansas pork sandwich and the Mac & cheese burger. Add a side on tater tots and two drinks, cha-ching, 32 dollars and change. Better be outstanding at that price, alas it was not. Sticky floor continued into the dining area. Found the cleanest of the dirty tables and awaited our food. Burger arrive first, pork sandwich and tots arrived a few minutes later, guess kitchen struggles with multi-tasking. Burger showed no sign of any seasoning and was cooked to within an inch of its life. Pork on the sandwich tasted like it came from a can and was totally drowned in sauce. Tater tots barely warm and over cooked as well. On the plus side, the iced tea is pretty good. Maybe they were having a bad day, you may say. In food service, you can not afford to have a bad day. Management needs to take a really close look at the operation of this establishment. My shadow will never darken their doorstep again. read more

I walked in for the first time after seeing the Facebook video made by who I assume is the owner making a Beef and Cheddar sandwich which made me want to definitely give it a try. The service while entering was good and the look of the dining room for the style of food they were serving. One of the employees showed me a picture on the screen of the beef and cheddar sandwich which which I was excited to try and as you can see by my pictures it's definitely not what I saw on their screen. The waffle fries were nice n hot so clearly they were cooked to order but the sandwich was a whole different story. It had a burnt flavor to the sandwich and one slice of cheddar for an almost $20 combo maybe two slices of cheese would be a nice upgrade. The look and flavors of the beef prevented me from even finishing the sandwich. The restaurant was clean but the trash can needs a change. That flopping door left food all over it and the dishes were stacking up. Also, the men's room hand towel dispenser was out. Will I give it a second try? Probably not. read more

We visited Chuck Wagon for the first time a couple days ago, it was fantastic. We had the steak and cheese egg rolls, they were crunchy and flavorful. I had the Ol' Smokey burger, it was so delicious and hot I burnt my mouth multiple times because I couldn't stand to wait to finish it! My husband had a burger off the special board, it was a burger with a hot dog on it and he said it was delicious. My kids had a hot dog, grilled cheese, and Mac n cheese. I stole a bite of the grilled cheese and homemade Mac and they were both fantastic. Service was top notch, the wait was only a few minutes and everything was cooked fresh. The owner came and talked with us a bit too which was really nice. Amazing food, nice decor, and awesome service makes this a must stop place for us! read more

The peach cobbler didn't even appear baked it was just raw peaches with some crumble on top and gross. Hot dogs were shriveled and looked 3 days old. I'm on the fence on if we'll be back again because there were both negatives and positives. I was impressed with how clean it was and it is a cozy little spot. We both had different burgers and they were both so bland. Like zero flavor! The scoop fries and beer cheddar sauce were pretty good though. If we go back we'll try something other than the burgers. Everything did seem fresh. We were the only people in there for the first half of our meal. We struggled to have a conversation because of how loud the girl was at the counter. She was going on and on about all of her drama, people going to jail etc to the man that was cooking. You could tell he was annoyed too by his one word "yups" to her. It just made it an awkward experience. We noticed the burgers didn't come with fries so we were going to order one to share since I usually don't even finish them. The girl asked if we wanted to make it a combo. Usually a combo means the meal, a side and a drink so we were a little shocked to see we were still charged for each item separately. Don't say it's a combo when you are going to charge for a soda and then an additional $5 for a small order of fries that even I could finish. It would have been less deceptive if she asked if we'd like to add a side or a drink. So be aware that if you are asked if you want to make it a "combo" that you're going to be paying an extra $7+ per meal. If we go back and have a better experience I will update my review to reflect that. read more
