Hi Everyone, Johnny…read moreDee's be the place when you want to filla ya face! When you walk in to Johnny Dee's you are greeted with smiles, even at 8:00 AM. Their restaurant is very nicely appointed kinda like a Ski Lodge without snow and the fireplace (it's Myrtle Beach, yo) big, open, and inviting. Our Server Riley was personable, and polite. Our food was out fast, that's right, hot food! The Waffle with a side of bacon was "perfect" with a flavor fantastic, cinnamon forward taste and not too sweet but well balanced, I mean you can always get sugar rush from the syrup but you don't need it. The texture was soft and pliable. The side of bacon was again "perfectly cooked", and three big pieces, so yes Granny, you can save a piece and a half in your purse for your BLT at lunch. Their California Benedict, was "superb", with a terrific taste. Yes, you health freaks can go to Johnny's and keep you figure in tack, while you enjoy the feel of your meal. Then, last but not least, I got the Crab Beast, Benedict. Their portions on all of our meals were generous, but you will really get to feast, on the Crab Beast. I tried the spicy Remoulade sauce which Riley suggested that I put on the side and she was spot on. Thanks Riley! As I lightly tried it on one half of my Crab Beast Benedict, and for me the taste was harsh and just did not blend. However, that is my tastebud sensitivity. I also asked for the old bay on top of the hollandaise because I wanted to taste my poached egg, and that deliciously enthralling crab cake. Yea man, I am definitely a fan, because "it was a so nice", I ate it twice. While I realise that breakfast for some of us is break fast, a pop tart, or cinnamon roll and coffee. To me it sets the tone and tenner for my day. So if you want that pep in your (yea, the coffee for me, could be a little stronger but is good) step, and a song in your heart, than Johnny Dee's be the place when you want to filla ya face! Enjoy!

The gritts however were swimming in butter they were inedible, my waffle was also swimming in butter as well and was so doughy I only had half of it and left the rest. The bacon was crisp but way to salty. Service well not the best we have had at Johnny's our waitress was inattentive to say the least, never asked how was the never asked if we wanted refills. I do miss Johnny's pound cake french toast and the great service we used to get. The ambiance is very casual and relaxed maybe to relaxed for the wait staff. Overall this experience rates 2.5 stars. It will be a long time before we go to Johnny's in NMB again because there are to many better options especially at this upper end price point.

It was pretty good, I just wish there were more sauce options like cajun, lemon pepper, etc. There was really just cocktail sauce, oyster sauce, and ketchup. It was fairly warm in the restaurant so it made it a bit uncomfortable but not unbearable. Our server, Clover, was absolutely amazing! She was very friendly, quick, and checked on us. It is on the expensive side if you're going to eat from the buffet so definitely come expecting to pay the price of endless seafood. From what I saw, there was a nice selection. The only complaints I have is stuff in our drinks and undercooked shrimp. We had something floating in our water (a few particles, couldn't tell what they were) when we first got there, which a little off putting. However, Clover had no issues swapping it out and ensuring the next one didn't have anything in it. There were some pieces of shrimp in the boil that were way overcooked to the point they were mushy. I would say it's worth a try.

The waitress we had was Emily I believe is what she said her name was. Very sweet. It took about 15-20 minutes for our food to arrive, so that's why I took off 1 star. However it was pretty busy when we went, which was on a Thursday evening might I say. When our food arrived to our table, it was sooo good. We all got Turkey burgers with different toppings. They also serve alcoholic drinks which we didn't partake in. Also they serve shakes and cookie skillets. The noise level can get pretty loud, but it wasn't anything too crazy. All in all, this place will definitely be added to my list of places to visit whenever I'm at Myrtle Beach!

Not only is the food good, it's affordable. Where else, in this day and time, can you get a 3-leg special that comes with two sides and a drink for $7.99? The two ladies working the front of the house have a nice rhythm. They are definitely locals that have taken time to get to know the regulars. Service with a little joke or bit of spiciness is what you will get. There's plenty of room in one section of Maryland Fried Chicken that is available for indoor dining. If you want to enjoy your food while it's piping hot, there's plenty of seating space. However, from what I could see, the majority of people do takeout. On this trip, we ordered the three leg special, and liver dinner, and a single pork chop. Everything was prepared well. The fried okra and the french fries that came along with the specials were also tasty. No complaints here. We will be visiting again before leaving town. I hope to get some pictures the next time before all the food is devoured! LOL! Happy eating!
