I got emotional when I walked in and saw John and Manny. Same great couple that has always served up goodness at Manny's since I lived here in '97. This place is nostalgic to me. Different location but same tables from way back when. They do such a great job with everything on the menu. Chicken & Ham sub with potato salad is my go to and always has been. We were tipped off to Manny's by my sister-in-law, who is a local. I packed my liver wurst, cheese, and mayo hoagie for our road trip home to NJ. It was so ding dang delicious! Previous customer mentioned the smell and it's still there. It ruins the eating experience. The dining area is not very clean. The owners were not especially friendly. The sandwiches are huge though and they are very generous with the meat. They were good enough so maybe if you can take them to go it'd be better. Thanks also to the reviewer that mentioned it's attached to a fireworks store. We wouldn't have seen it otherwise. Worth the drive!! We visited based on a recommendation from our hotel front desk and it was certainly a great experience. Tucked into the corner of a Fireworks warehouse, we almost missed it. Small diner with about 8-10 tables, the sole cook/cashier/server easily managed a steady flow of customers! Our sandwiches, made with Boarshead meat, were lean and tasty, and piled high. I had the Reuben as a sub and my wife had hers on Rye. Both were outstanding! If you're anywhere nearby, Manny's is definitely worth a visit. read more

I forgot to take pictures, but we went here yesterday for lunch. The subs were decent. I'm from New England, and they were about what you'd expect from any mom and pop sub/sandwich shop back home. I did expect more based on the positive reviews here and all of the awards on the wall- but it was not a standout for me. However, I have no specific complaints about the food, either. That being said, this place smelled AWFUL inside!! My kids actually waited in the car because they couldn't stand it. I'm not sure if they were having plumbing issues that day or what but it smelled like a port a potty in the restaurant- not exactly the vibe I'm going for when I'm about to eat. Simple but certainly comfortable and roomy. I'll take that any day over the opposite. Friendly staff though. Seemed to know some regulars by name. Nice. Took my Bride out for lunch today, to a place I recently discovered on the Web. Manny's has to be the best kept secret in Myrtle Beach because of the location. It is tucked away at the end of one of those touristy Fireworks & Beach Wear strip malls and not really easy to see from 17 Business. It's a place that is loved by locals and not geared for fast paced tourists. Manny makes all of the sandwiches and his wife runs the register, answers the phone and brings you your food. A true "Mom and Pop" gem, serving up huge sandwiches, great sides and New York Deli portions. Joy had the Steak and Cheese with, fried onions, lettuce, tomatoes and Mayo and I opted for the Godfather. We ordered the "small" and shared. The Godfather was a great assortment of Boar's Head meats and good sharp provolone, lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar and Italian dressing. Joy's steak was excellent with the bun toasted for a bit of crunch. Nice touch for a cheese steak Sub Both sandwiches and the potato salad were truly New York, delicious and the best we have found here. If you want a great sandwich and don't mind waiting for it to be prepared with love, this is the place to go. If you are in a hurry, hit Subway, Jersey Miles or Jimmy John's, but you won't find anything like Manny's subs on their menus. Add this to our favorites here at the Beach. First time for me to try this deli. My family has been bragging about it and so I got to try it. Ordered roasted beef and reuben, with mashed potato and mac and cheese.
