We have been wanting to try this place. Now that we have tried it I need to come up with more reasons to come back to this area! The menu has many things to choose! From hot dogs to Gyro and meatball subs to of course their name sake cheesesteak sandwich. The counter person was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu items. This was my 2nd time here and was as great as the 1st, two great 7inch cheesesteaks with plenty of meat and great onion rings, while the mozzarella sticks are very commercial they were extremely fresh and hot with great pull. The service was great food was brought to our table piping hot. The ambiance is really quite relaxing with plenty of seating even for larger groups there are a few TVs for viewing enjoyment as well. We have passed by Cheesesteak U several times and finally stopped in today to try them and man are we glad that we did. This is easily the best cheesesteak we have had outside of Philly. It was absolutely delicious and pure perfection for the hubs and I. I added mayonnaise to mine which to a purest would be sacrilegious but I like it on mine. lol The fries were a little too heavily seasoned for me and next time I will probably get just the cheesesteak and skip the fries. They have a much larger menu than I expected but appreciate that they have a wide variety of items for people to choose from. We will definitely be back again and this will definitely go on my list of restaurant recommendations for friends and family visiting the area. I went here on the recommendation of my Uber driver. Once you tell people you're from Philly - it's evidently a rule that you have to talk about cheesesteaks. She seemed to know her stuff and talked this place up. It's out in the boonies - a 30 minute ride from my MB hotel - but it was worth it. The Chanticleer (spicy cheesesteak) was full of flavor and the spiced fries were a perfect compliment. The place has a cool diner vibe too. It is very nicely decorated with a Coke theme, lots of cheesesteak choices, salads, wings, burgers, shakes, and various other sandwiches, but they also have a toppings and fixings bar with peppers, olives, relishes and other items. We were in Conway and looking for a place to eat. We turned to Yelp and we're not disappointed. My son and I split the 10" MOP cheesesteak. It had onion, peppers and mushrooms. They served it to us split into 2 baskets and we chose homemade chips. It was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. The Coca Cola decor is very cool and it has a great vibe. The place was clean, two people were actually cleaning up when my wife walked in. The staff was pleasant and efficient. Even though they were relatively busy, they took care of each customer quickly, and accurately. I had a chicken cheese steak sub, the wife a BLT, and we shared a large fry. Both sandwiches prepared correctly, and had a decent amount of meat on them. The fries were a little heavy on salt, but hot and bountiful. I actually really enjoyed this cheesesteak, despite being wary of the previous mixed reviews! It was awesome, can't find anything to complain about. Toasty light bread (zero sogginess), perfect ratio of creamy cheese mixed with the beef, onions, and mushrooms, and seasoned crinkle cut fries on the side. Having malt vinegar available was a great plus for me too. The only thing I didn't care for is the homemade chips that my friend ordered, especially if you like them a little more "floppy" (like at Ham's) - they're all pretty browned and crunchy here. The atmosphere of the place is quirky and has a retro dive feel with all the red decor and checkered floors. Cleaner than I expected, and there's a whole lot of other options I want to try. My cheese steak was the Best cheese steak ever! My hubby has the same one but the larger. His was very soggy on the bottom of the bread. What a major difference. Weird. And, while the fries are not my favorite because they season them. (Hopefully I can order them unseasoned next time) they were cooked perfectly. Very well done but not burned. Unfortunately there are some shady businesses out there. Meet Cheesesteak U... A little while back my wife and I are driving by and we see a sign on the front of the building that says Buy One Get One Free on cheesesteaks at lunchtime...can't miss this sign. We go in and each order a cheesesteak. The cashier, an older man of about 50 or so (owner??) rings it up super quickly, but doesn't tell us the total cost. My wife hands him her credit card without thinking and I see that he has charged us literally double what he should have. I say "Whoa, whoa, whoa" as he attempts to run the card through the machine as fast as he possibly can. He finally stops as I continue to raise my voice and I tell him about the sign on the front of the building. Right there in front of all the customers, including a Sherriff's deputy who was eating in the lobby, he says there is no such sign. I say sure there is...it's why we came in. He continues to argue!!! To my shock and horror he says I have to take him outside and show him the sign. I'm like, are you kidding me? ALL, and I mean ALL of the customers are watching this entire scene unfold as they eat their lunches. My wife is standing there like a statue in total shock and I follow the dude out the door and around the front of the building and I show him the sign. All the customers are watching this through the windows. He proceeds to act like he's never seen the sign before and then has the nerve to say that he "just does what he's told and that people that work there have no idea what they're doing." So yeah, we go back inside and he finally gets around to charging us the correct amount and of course never apologizes or anything. No sorries, no nothing. Dude embarrassed the crap out of us, me in particular. So much for Southern hospitality!!!!; you'll find none here that's for sure. My wife and I both believe the guy was purposely trying to overcharge us. I am 100 percent convinced; he was literally trying to ring us up as fast as he possibly could and we were the only customers at the register. It was totally obvious what he was attempting to do. Of course, several other customers came in after we paid and sat down and were served their food way before we were. We just sat patiently and waited and waited. It was as if they purposely skipped our order for about 10 minutes or so. Took about 1/2 hour to get our food. Food was meh, nothing special, but of course our mood was completely ruined by everything that had already happened. Honestly, I've never been embarrassed as a customer before...there's a first time for everything I guess. This embarrassment was simply unacceptable. He could've walked out front by himself if he wanted to. He didn't have to yell in front of everyone..."where's the sign???? Come out here and show it to me!!" This restaurant just moved in to town closer as they were located in Red Hill prior. They offer wings, salads, milkshakes, cheeseburgers, and of course cheese steak sandwiches. I ordered a cheeseburger and ff while my partner in crime had an original cheesesteak sandwich with jalapeno poppers. I asked prior to ordering if the hamburger was hand patted or frozen and she said it was hand patted. When our food arrived it looked good and service was fast. Upon biting into my burger I knew no one had patted it out. Patty was small after cooking also. Bun had good taste and ff were crinkle cut frozen which is fine with me. My daughter got poppers with her cheesesteak but the peppers were pretty thick and hard for her to bite through. I tried one and they had good taste but again the pepper was pretty thick. She did love her cheesesteak sandwich. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the place was really clean and decorated in 50's car and rock decor.
