Pulaski Deli is one of those rare places that quietly delivers exactly what you hope it will: authentic, homemade Polish comfort food without shortcuts or tourist-trap pricing. I first visited about five years ago and remembered it immediately when we were back in Myrtle Beach. This time confirmed it wasn't nostalgia talking. The food is still outstanding. The pierogi were top tier. Tender dough, well filled, and clearly handmade. The potato pancakes were crisp on the outside, soft inside, and exactly what they should be when done right. The Polish sampler plate is a ton of food and easily the best choice if you want to experience several traditional items in one visit. It's perfect for a first timer and more than enough for a solid lunch. The folks working there are incredibly friendly. Sometimes places like this can feel a little intimidating if English isn't the primary language, but everyone was welcoming and kind. I never felt like a stranger or like I was imposing. Just the opposite. This place feels like a neighborhood deli you'd stumble into somewhere up north, not something you expect tucked into Myrtle Beach. Great lunch spot. Definitely worth a stop! The food was comforting, delicious, and the portions were very generous. We had the Italian sandwich and Kielbasa sausage plate. We should have shared. The star was the hunters cabbage stew that was served under the sausage. It tasted slow cooked and full of meat and vegetables. We used all the bread soaking up every drop. The Polish Sampler lunch was tasty at Pulaski's deli, but very messy if you get it to go. I suggest eating inside the restaurant or asking them to package anything with liquid inside a sealed plastic container. I got the Polish sampler, but it did not survive the car ride. There's Hunter's stew in the sampler that is thick, but still has a lot of liquid and much of it ended up in the bag the styrofoam container was in. All napkins and utensils were coated inside the bag. Otherwise, the flavor was awesome. I got the Polish sampler. It had a kielbasa, cabbage roll, hunter stew, 3 pierogies, a slice of bread, and sauerkraut. I've never had pork filled pierogies before, but they were excellent! My husband's Polish mother taught me to make cabbage rolls, and theirs were even better than my MIL's. Full of meat and flavor. The Hunter's stew had tiny sliced sausages in it and was also very good, despite being messy. Good enough to ALMOST forgive the new stain on my shirt. (Hopefully, it will come out in the washing machine.) They were speaking full on Polish to the customers until they got to me. I guess my red hair gave me away. The staff was very friendly. They chatted with every customer and it is a very welcoming place. Not only do they have my favorite cookie - kolaches- they had different kinds of kielbasa to take home, a mini - Polish store with beers and such, in addition to the deli/ restaurant to order sandwiches or Polish food. Seating had padding and was actually very comfortable. They also had a catering van so I assume you could call them for pricing on that also. I'll definitely be back.... Do not sleep on the Pulaski Deli! Holy cow! This was probably the best food we had while in Myrtle Beach! It was a close walk from where we were staying, and I could have eaten it for lunch every day! I tried the Polish Sampler and the food was so fresh, juicy, and tasty! Even though they had a steady amount of people order food and checking out groceries, they got the food out to us very quickly! It's a great spot for families! It's clear the locals love this place because there were people speaking to each other in different languages and laughing. It has a lovely community atmosphere. The chips and drinks can be bought for a dollar which is a steal compared to other prices in the area! Our meal was very affordable and we got to support a local spot! Being Polish and brought up on these dishes the bar is high for my review - but this passed it. Except for the pierogi which had a flour coating on them necessitating a boiling and then frying. Puklaski's Deli was a highlight of our trip to Myrtle Beach from California back in October. It appeared to be a primarily family ran business and they were all very nice. We had the sampler platter and it was all very good. My wife will not eat sauerkraut but loved the hunter cabbage stew. I really visited the deli for the homemade Kielbasa and Cabbage rolls, I was not disappointed. We ate inside the deli where they had a few tables in a small dining area in the deli. I enjoyed a great Dark Warka Beer with my meal. We did go go back right before our departing flight and picked up some sausage sticks for the flight home. This place has some solid Polish food! We have two different sandwiches and some cheese pirogies. The restaurant doubles as a mini Polish market. As I looked at the prices and goods they definitely had some unique items and everything seemed fairly priced. The sandwiches were tasty and satisfying. They were not ultra fancy and they did not come with any sides. They were reasonably priced. Mine came with onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. The cheese pirogies were really good! I mean some of the best I've ever had. They came with sour cream and some cooked onions on top. I would definitely recommend those. Overall it was worth checking out. Wow! I am so happy we stopped in here for lunch. My friend suggested it and I was a little nervous because I had never had Polish food before but I'm so glad I went with it. I ordered the sampler figuring if I didn't like something, I would have other options on the plate. We ordered at the counter and then sat and waited for them to bring us our food. Maybe 5 minutes passed and our food arrived. The sampler had 3 pierogis, a stew with a kielbasa(?) on top, a roll of cabbage stuffed with rice and meat topped with a tomato sauce, and some sauerkraut and a pickle. I enjoyed everything except the sauerkraut but the star of the plate was that stuffed cabbage. It was so delicious, like a home cooked meal. I ended up cleaning most of my plate. They also have some grocery items you can purchase so I ended up getting some chocolates for home. This has definitely opened up my eyes to a new food and I look forward to coming back when visiting MB. read more

Food was just meh. We felt the pierogies were small and the prices were high. Pierogies could have spent more time in the pan as they were just plain soggy. We werent fans of their version of crispy onions on top of the potato and cheese filled dumplings. We prefer chopped grilled onions. The cabbage roll was fine as was the kielbasa, but nothing special. Nothing really wrong with the food generally speaking, but it's alsototally forgettable and it was over 25 dollars for 1 Polish sampler and 1 order of pierogies. Based on all of that we probably won't be back. Service was fast and you can also order ahead online if you'd like. We like to find places with regional or international flavors, and try to avoid chain stores when we can. We were looking for something else when we drove past this place and everyone in our car (14 of us in a Transit van) yelled to turn back and try Pulaski instead. We were glad we did, it's a Polish deli, small sitdown seating for more traditional dishes, and a small Polish grocery. It was hard not going nuts trying all the things in the packaged goods but we limited ourselves to some Polish cookies and some frozen treats. It took a while but like everywhere they were short-handed and we walked in needing food for 14! The sandwiches were ok, I don't recall them being memorable. But everything else we ordered was great. We sampled a few entree dishes and that's where they shined. The two guys were patient with us, as we asked a lot of questions about the foods, where things were from, and about them. We tend to be good tippers and either that or because they were a bit slow as we were gathering the troops to leave they started tossing in chips and cookies and snacks from Poland for us to try. Although I have lived in Myrtle Beach 16 years, today was my first visit to this wonderful establishment. I don't know where to begin with the accolades. Since it is a food establishment, I shall begin with that. OUTSTANDING. I was dining with my mom and we both chose the sampler platter (Combination of 3 pierogi, 1 cabbage roll, cabbage stew and kielbasa). I highly recommend. Cold beverages are available opposite register, self serve. There is a sitting area if you wish to eat in. When we arrived, mid afternoon, we were the only patrons. While dining several other parties arrived, dining in, taking orders to go and visiting my second favorite area - the well-stocked grocery area, in the back of the deli. The deli is very clean and spacious. It can get crowded though because it deservingly has a very well known reputation for excellent. Specials are also run, which are very popular - for their quality and price. We did not make any deli purchases, but they are available! I can not close my review without mentioning the absolutely delightful, kind, patience, customer-focused staff! They are truly wonderful. As wonderful as the food they serve. During my visit to the folks in Myrtle Beach, SC, my Mother announced that we would be having Polish food for dinner. This led to our zipping over to the Pulaski Deli to purchase some pierogies and guwampke or dumplings and stuffed cabbage to those who don't know the Polish words for the delicacies. We also ordered some kielbasa and everything smelled wonderful inside the place that I couldn't wait to eat it all up when I got home. The stuffed cabbage was prepared on the spot BTW. The staff was friendly and masked and maintained a proper distance and the store was only permitting 4 customers in at a time. While they prepared our orders we stood outside and it was only about a 10 minute wait before we were off to the next errand. Once at home and dinner time we noshed and everything was incredible. Such rich flavors and a high recommendation for those who enjoy this kind of cuisine. Clearly the folks of Myrtle Beach will be treated well by the Pulaski Deli. read more
