True polish store and restaurant-so friendly don't pass this place up! Buy the pierogies and the shirt.

If you like Polish food even a little bit - GET YOURSELF HERE! And show up hungry. The sandwiches - great! I had a combo of pierogis, golabki, and stew. It was wonderful! People, so nice! And the market has all kinds of things. You can get pre-made frozen pierogi, golabki, all kinds of meats, beers, sauerkrauts, pickles, breads, etc. This transplant from the Chicago area is so happy!

Excited to try Kowalski's Deli for the first time! Being of Polish and Russian descent, I'm always a harsh critic of Gołąbki and Pierogi! The Pierogi brought me back to my grandma's kitchen. Doughy, cheese filled Pierogi topped with butter and onions. Yum! The Gołąbki are cabbage rolls stuffed with a seasoned mixture of beef, pork, rice and onions. Also very good! I just wish the sauce was a little less runny. I thought it was great to see the pronunciations spelled out in Polish and written phonetically in English. We also purchased the Chocolate, cheese Babka for dessert. Cute little find! I felt like I was in Little Poland.

We had the absolute best experience here. First of all, my brother, who lived in Poland for two years (twenty plus years ago) got to speak Polish with the owner. His Polish is pretty rusty since it's been so long but it was really cool for him to see what he remembered. Second, my grandfather was adopted and after taking a DNA test a few years ago, I was able to confirm that his biological parents were from a small village near Sanok in Poland (see pic). Since we didn't grow up knowing this, I definitely embrace every opportunity I get involving anything Polish....so give me all the Polish food because I want to try it all! I ordered the #5 Cracow Submarine. It was absolutely delicious. The meal came with choice of soup or salad and chips. I got the salad with red peppers and my daughter got the soup with her meal. We both loved our choices-so yummy! I also really loved the chips I got too (sea salted). My brother got multiple things but he highly recommends the Apple Mint juice. They sell two sizes of it and he got both. There was also a mango drink my mom got that she loved so much she went back in and bought three more to take home. If you aren't wanting to pick up a meal, they have tons of other grocery items and even Polish jerseys for very reasonable prices. My meal and my daughters, plus the two candy items I got were around $21 which I thought was a great deal. Lunch is until 2 pm and (hot) dinner is from 2-6. See their Facebook page for up to date menus or offerings. There are a couple of tables out front so you can eat there if you don't want to take your food to go. We loved everything about our trip here. The owners are amazing and so kind. Can't wait to come back to try more things!!!

Kowalski's serves authentic Polish cuisine and serves as both a market and deli! My girlfriend introduced me to the Chocolate cheese babka and it was excellent. My first time trying a Polish bread! We also ordered the pierogies and stuffed cabbage. The pierogies were excellent with the perfect blend of cheese and onions. The stuffed cabbage is a pass for me as the sauce was a bit watery. The ambiance was pretty standard and what I would expect. Nothing fancy, but worth a visit for great food. Service was OK and prices were a bit high!

Incredibly friendly family deli and store. You can get everything that is traditionally Polish including hot food and deli items. They will gladly let you try things from the deli. The food was delicious.

We went to the Christmas Polish festival over the weekend and there were a few food vendors. We started off with this one because I had just heard they opened a little deli/store near piggly wiggly and had already wanted to try it. The menu for the event may not always be available, so you'd want to check in with their website to see their daily offerings and/or specials. We got two polish kielbasas with mustard They had ran out of kraut when we got there. They were big and flavorful with the perfect snap when you bit into them! Next was the Croquettes Krokiety- which are crepes with cabbage and meat. These were also flavorful and the crepe has a nice crisp texture like and eggroll. And lastly we had their stuffed cabbage Golabki which was stuffed with meat, rice and tomato sauce, it was so flavorful and you could easily cut it with a fork! My 11 month old liked this one a lot! Anyways, we can't wait to check out their store front and try some other items. The soup looked tasty! Wishing we would've tried that too

Polish Grocery store and deli. We're able to get favorite Polish drinks. Sandwiches were fresh delicious. Small outdoor seating area or take food to go. Service was friendly. Apple cake was like what we had in Poland. Recipes are authentic and flavorful. I also got several bottles of mango juice to go.

Great, authentic polish food. Wonderful owners! The pierogies were perfect although they are quite small. We would buy them again!

I've been going to the island for a decade and somehow missed this delightful takeout joint. The fridges are filled with take and bake Italian delicacies. This is going to be a new must stop for me on each visit!

Think lasagna, baked ziti, grilled sausage, peppers and onions, and a lot more. The classic Italian desserts looked delicious but I'm trying to stick with my New Year's resolution a little longer. Today, I ordered "Godmother's Turkey" (turkey, artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, spinach, mozzarella, garlic mayo). I think this was the best sandwich I've had in Mount Pleasant. Everything was fresh and perfectly portioned. I added a Caesar salad - and while very simple, it was made of crisp lettuce with crunch croutons. Dressing was the classic variety. The counter staff was very friendly and our order took only about 5-7 minutes to make. There's indoor and outdoor seating and a little shopping area where you can browse wines, oils, and more. Very casual atmosphere. No servers as it's counter service only. I recommend take out as they do a great job boxing and wrapping everything.
