This deli has Yankees memorabilia all over! The Yankees game was on the tvs. It's obvious that actual New Yorkers own this place. They even serve chopped cheese! My stepmother had the turkey Reuben and she enjoyed it but she wanted more cheese and sauerkraut, and less turkey. She also liked her cole slaw, but felt that the serving was too small. My father got a pastrami sandwich, which he loved. I ate a cold turkey sandwich and greatly enjoyed it. I liked my little side of pasta salad. Four stars! read more

What a great little find! The small-town atmosphere made this restaurant feel warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. My sister and I stopped in on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The homemade egg salad was absolutely to die for, and the portions were very generous. We had the spinach salad with bacon and the spaghetti and meatballs, both of which were delicious and clearly made with care. The desserts were also amazing -- especially the pineapple upside-down cake, which was a perfect ending to the meal. A special thank you to Cathy, our waitress, who was so friendly, helpful, and attentive, especially since it was our first time visiting. Next time, I'd love to try the outdoor seating area because it looked like such a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal. We would definitely revisit this restaurant again! read more

Let me tell you this you better arrive hungry as the portions are massive and they are made fresh to order and are delicious and the pricing is good as well They use all Boars Head products here folks, not the cheap stuff. . I wanted an Italian sub so I stopped here. They call it the Delmonico. First of all, their menu is hung so high from the ceiling - I had trouble reading it. I asked the cashier for an Italian sub and she said it was the Delmonico. I got the pasta salad as my side. I was not impressed at all. The pasta salad was dry as dust and the sandwich was tasteless. The bread was hard (this was a cold 1/2 sub). I cut the sub in 1/2, only ate 3 bites of the 1/2 and 1 bite of the pasta salad. I couldn't take another bite it was that bad - hate to say this but subs from Subway are better than the one I got. I didn't complain because there were about 7 people in line so I just left my uneaten food there on the table. A waste of $14. NY deli was great!! I went to NY deli about 1 or 2 years ago. I had a pork roll samwich, it was excellent. The People there were so friendly. I am a Yankee fan (who are in the world series at the time of weighting this review) so the ambiance was great with all the Yankee stuff on the wall. Wow!! You get a huge bang for your buck here! I walked in for the first time today and asked what they were known for and the cashier told me the DiMaggio was their most popular. So I chose that, it's an Italian sub, and it came with whatever toppings and dressings I wanted which was nice. It came with a side and again I asked what was popular and she said their top three which includes their homestyle potato salad, which is what I chose. The food was ready quickly and she was nice. I'm glad I got it to-go as there is a very strong smell here which is my only down point. Maybe it's baking bread that was slightly burning? I don't know. The decor was fun with all the baseball paraphernalia. They also sell a lot of pre-packaged goods. My first bite of the potato salad was a WOW! I even said that out loud. It was DELICIOUS! I haven't had really good potato salad in ages! If you like onion, you'll like it as it is onion forward but it blends in perfectly with the potato salad. Spot on and will for sure be getting more of that in the future. The sandwich, I got a 6", was HUGE!! Y'all, this thing had tons of meat, all the toppings I asked for, and to me it looked way larger than 6". In total I think my meal cost just over $11 and WOW you get way more for your money here! If you are from the Northeast and have been searching for a real NY style deli down here, this is the place. I'm a Yankee fan so I'm ok with the decor, but if you're not a Yankee fan my advice is let it go, and enjoy this place for what it is, a NY Deli right here in Myrtle Beach. This is our 4th time going here, and each time the sandwiches have been exceptional. They use Boars Head products, which is my personal favorite, but the immediate impact when you walk in is that it smells exactly like what an old-time NY/NJ deli use to smell like. The shop is very clean and the staff personable. The sandwiches are generous and built to customer request as far as toppings. Pricing is actually a little cheaper than Jersey Mikes, but the product is far superior. Thrilled to have found this place!!! read more

So I was out bebopping around had several errands to run and I got hungry I had spent the day at Spectrum went to a consignment shop in the small shopping Center where New York deli is located. They have an extensive menu lots of things to eat. I chose the turkey melt. It had tomato American cheese turkey and bacon on rye bread toasted. It was delicious out of this world it came with a small side of coleslaw which was very good and I'm coleslaw picky. When you walk in there are pictures and paraphernalia from New York baseball teams all over the walls and on shelves. I gobbled down my sandwich savoring each and every bite. I'm a dessert kind of gal so after my sandwich I went up to the counter to pay my bill oh by the way this delicious sandwich was less than $10, and I didn't have any delicious desserts at home so I decided to pick some up and I picked up this chocolate fudge and I picked up a mint chocolate fudge. I left a very satisfied customer. I've been meaning to try this place for the longest time I finally got to I'm glad I did. read more
