It is by no means fine dining, but if you want a casual environment with good food, it is a great lunch spot while in Surfside! Food is really good. I've been to this spot a few times over the past couple of years and it's very reliable for a good lunch or dinner. My only "problem" is the price is a little high, I usually spend about 16-17 dollars for a full Philly and fries. The Phillies are always very loaded so it's usually a meal and a half for me. The staff was the best part, they were very pleasant. I wasn't impressed with the cheesesteak or the fries. The place needs a full cleaning; ceiling tiles are filthy and need replaced, and all surfaces need deep cleaned. In no means considered pricey in my book. I had mine with mushrooms, onions, and American cheese. I like them with the cheese wiz but, felt like American at the time - don't judge. I'd like to try their buffalo chicken one too but that's for another day. The place is pretty small. They have a walk up counter to order and a handful of booths and tables to sit at.
