Great prices - Great food - Great service. We both got the Senior Pork Sandwich for $10.75. It comes with one side, hush puppies and a soft drink. The pork had a nice smokey flavor and the sandwich was a nice portion. My side was fried okra which tasted great. I finished my wife's mac and cheese because she was too fill. However, she did not save any hushpuppies for me. The server even asked us if we wanted drink to-go. My directions left me 2000 ft. short of the location. read more

I normally get a pound of beef brisket to go. I usually get three or four meals out of it. It's lean and juicy and melts in your mouth! love the spicy herby bark on the edges! Definitely some of the best around!! Today I got a rack of ribs to go. I was pleasantly surprised at how juicy and meat they were! I got tangy and a mustard sauce that was quite delicious! I've never ordered anything that wasn't great! Their prices are very good as well! The staff is always friendly efficient! Definitely worth the 30+ mile round-trip! My family had dinner at the Bar-B-Que House back in early July. I've wanted to try eating here for years. We arrived and were promptly seated (party of five). Three of us had the pick two, my oldest son had brisket tacos and my father in law had a brisket sandwich. All of us really enjoyed our meals. Brisket was much better than the pulled pork. BBQ sauces were excellent. I wish the fried corn on the cob was larger. Service was great, very clean, and from the outside not what you think a BBQ restaurant would look like but you definitely want to stop here. It's excellent and I would certainly return. We used to eat at BBQ House several times a month but probably will not again. They have good BBQ and food but after finding a tooth / crown in my wife's BBQ. After we paid they took my name / phone number and tooth, was told the owner would call us and make it right, never heard from anyone. We came here for dinner to try some famous Carolina BBQ. Plenty of parking and seating. The restaurant was very clean. The staff was friendly and on top of things. Lots of fun and quirky decor. I'm a sucker for puns and they are all over the restaurant. The food was very good. I got the Big Daddy Platter. I chose brisket and pulled pork. The pulled pork was really good, especially when I added the bbq sauce at the table. The brisket was a little dry, but still tasty. I also tried the buffalo chicken taco. The chicken was very crispy and battered nicely. The sauce had a nice kick to it. I would definitely order that again on a Taco Tuesday. read more

Got the Granddaddy plate via DoorDash. It was well packaged and sealed as you can see from my photo. Ordered ribs, brisket and pork with collard greens and Brunswick stew for the sides. Also got their banana pudding and 1/2 gallon of sweet tea. The meal also came with their hushpuppies and cinnamon butter. In my opinion this is bbq only if you use the sauce. All 3 meats looked and tasted like they spent more time in the oven than inside a smoker. There were 4-5 ribs, a big slice of brisket and a good portion of pork. I will probably get a lunch and another dinner out of all the food which was the plan. Gotta maximize value with these deliveries, even when you have a 1/2 off coupon. The brisket has a good roast beef taste and will make a good sandwich once I chop it up and add a little mayonnaise to the bread. The pork will need sauce all over it as it didn't have much flavor. The meat pulled off the ribs with ease and the bones were soft from lots of time in the oven. Not much taste without dipping them in the sauce. The greens were good and the Brunswick stew as well. The side of Texas toast was sad. Those are not Texas toast slices but regular bread slices. The banana pudding is not pudding but something akin to thick banana flavored Cool Whip. Tastes good though. Those hushpuppies are dessert. Sweet flour dough that satisfies when dipped in the cinnamon butter. I can see why people love them. read more

At each table there is a selection of bbq sauces that range from super sweet to spicy and vinegar. I loved that the ingredients were listed on each bottle and you could purchase any one of the sauces at the register. The food was great. My fried chicken sandwich was cooked to crispy perfection and my boyfriend's pulled pork was seasoned slightly but super tender. The French fries were fried and salted just right. The hush puppies were crispy but fluffy fried to perfection. My only 2 complaints were the coleslaw was flavorless and the lettuce used wasn't iceberg and it was so bitter it had to be taken off. Ate lunch here the day after Christmas. Wife and I split a Big Daddy platter which was two meats, two sides and 4 hushpuppies. We chose brisket and pulled pork for our meats and red slaw and collards for our sides. When the food arrived, it was more than enough for two people to share. Both the brisket and the pork had plenty of bark, which always scores points with us, and a nice smoky flavor. The brisket had the right amount of fat to add flavor and keep it moist. Wife said the collards were spot on, while the red slaw was just ok, not the best I've ever had. Gave us cinnamon butter for the hushpuppies, which was odd as we have never had it served to us before at any Bar-B-Que joint we have eaten at. Hush puppies were good. Six kinds of sauce to choose from. The wife went with the house tomato based sauce and I the Lexington vinegar dip. Our server was friendly and attentive. The reason I didn't rate this place any higher was the cost. To me it was very pricey at $37 with drinks, tax and tip for two people to eat lunch and that was with us sharing a meal, when our two go to Bar-B-Que joints back home we can get out for about $24 without sharing. We wanted to try it and it was good, but at $3 shy of $40 for two people sharing lunch, a return trip will not be happening. read more

So I had a hankering for southern bbq and thought I'd check this place out that was near our air bnb. I have to say that that hush puppies with the cinnamon butter was off the hook. The mac and cheese was also great. I love the fact that they give you 5 different sauces that represent different areas of the Carolinas but the meats needed it for any flavor. You can definitely taste the smoke in there food but still lacked flavor. The brisket, ribs and pulled pork were tender and moist but the eastern Carolina vinegar based sauce saved the day. Great selection of meats on the menu but unfortunately a lot of the meats were not available when we ordered for dine in. Although we had to get our third and fourth choices of meats, it was still good. I'm not a big fan of vinegar based Carolina barbecue sauce but I did like the mustard based one.
