As a chicken tender aficionado, I approve this restaurant!!! Smallish strip mall joint with amazing chicken and great customer service. Menu had good variety of chicken options and sides. Tenders are cooked in a unique breading-like coating, and can be tossed just like the wings. The meat is very tender and flavorful which makes me think they are marinated as well. Service was friendly and quick. We ordered a 6 tender meal which came with fries and drink, to share, plus ordered side of okra- my weakness! Was made to order in less than 10 minutes. This may be the best chicken spot in Myrtle beach! The chicken is fried Katsura style so it's both crispy and juicy. My favorite was the samurai sandwich which had chicken tenders, teyraki sauce, and pineapple. We also tried the pimento chicken sandwich which was my bfs favorite. I went there with a friend who convinced me I should try it. I'm not huge on tenders. I like a good bone in wing. Walking in I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and clean everything was. The employees were helpful and helping me choose my meal. I took their recommendation of tenders tossed in garlic parm. They were absolutely delicious! The breading is nothing like your run of the mill chicken joint. It's unique with a nice crunch. The fries are usually an after thought but in this case, again they had a nice crunch and were seasoned beautifully. The CJ sauce...you would lick it off a boot. It's sweet, tangy and very addictive. All in all, I hope the Socastee community can make them a staple...we need more mom and pop places like this around here. I recommend!! read more

So my family got take out and since the name said "CHICKEN JOINT" I thought for sure there would be good chicken, but no!! All I wanted was some good fried bone in chicken. I was sadly disappointed. 1st time here, didn't really know what to expect. But oh my! This place is perfect. I had the Samuri sandwich and hubs had the deluxe. Both came with FF and drinks. Just delish! Crispy. The best wings I have had in the 7 years We have lived here. We live in Little River and decided to go to Trader Joe's and my wife mention the Joint. Best thing she's said in 45 years of marriage. The chicken cooked perfectly,the classic buffalo on point,not too hot. The garlic parm. I'm Italian Perfecto ! Season fries with the tenders absolutely incredible. Went here after I tried to go to the restaurant called The Porch and that dump was closed when they weee supposed to be open (see my review for that dump). Anyway The Chicken Joint was awesome! Fast friendly service, lots of chicken choices. I had chicken salad sandwich and it came on a slightly warmed but not toasted bi. It was delicious. I recommend this place highly. Was hoping it was gonna be wayyy better, but it was just okay. Grilled chicken sandwich needed more seasoning, didnt taste like much. Chicken salad sandwich was pretty good. I couldn't write a review fast enough!! In a word FANTASTIC!! The chicken tenders were fresh not frozen, huge, tender and not chewy! My husband had wings and loved them and he's a wing guy. Tried this place last week based on the good reviews. Place was decorated nice and was clean/ new looking inside, but it had a bad smell to me. I thought maybe it was a raw chicken smell. You know when it's been sitting out too long or gone bad. The back door was open so it could have been coming from the trash outside also. In any case I ordered wings extra crispy. They came with fries and a self serve drink. My order took about 15-20 for 6 wings and fries. I took the order home to eat. I only live about 5 minutes away. When I started to eat, the wings were not crispy at all and they had the same smell to them as the restaurant. I tried to eat them but couldn't. The smell wasn't right and the taste was off. I had to throw them out. I tried to eat the fries which were ok, but they were nothing special at all either. I'm not sure if it was a one off day or if that's the norm. Other reviews were all great before I tried it, but who knows if they're all legit reviews. In any case I don't think I'd try it again. My stomach churns just thinking about the smell so I can't give them another go. read more
